Scott J.

Business Owner

Before going to law school, Scott spent time as a mechanical engineering student, a professional bowler, a licensed Realtor, a substitute teacher and math tutor. In 1995, Scott attended the T. C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. In law school, Scott was chosen by his classmates to serve as the Editor of the University of Richmond Law Review. He also served on the Moot Court Board, and as a student advocate of the Honor Council. After graduating from law school, Scott worked as an associate at a large Richmond firm, where his practice focused on litigation in the commercial, construction, insurance coverage, real estate, and employment areas. In 2005, Scott left his former law firm and founded The Golightly Law Firm, which focuses on giving legal advice in the areas of estate planning, business succession, business law, and litigation.
