This is a beautiful store, but if you’re wanting a certain book, movie, or cd then you’re gonna have to look somewhere else cause I couldn’t find 1 book out my extremely long list.

Just horrible. Been in three times now signs showing that something is on sale is never accurate or it leaves out things like no exclusives or Etc People working there have no idea what they are doing. One guy will have to ask another then he will have to ask another Tried to get a fountain drink… cool that they offer but the guy takes my cup and sticks his finger in it to scan it. Really? This is the sort of place that if register went down but you walked in with a hundred dollar bill they couldn’t sell you something because staff can’t perform simple operations. Avoid at all costs.

I have a love/hate relationship with this place. I usually go in there just to goof off and look around, I rarely buy anything. Everything is SO expensive! From books, toys, electronics. I do enjoy finding cool CD’s and comics. But overall it’s really not worth bothering. Particularly with the books, it took me forever to find the used section. Which was a little cheaper than the new books, but there wasn’t much there. What a waste of time.

As others have said, the customer service here is pretty bad. The cashiers are friendly but the dark-haired, female manager was so surly and impolite that they’ve permanently lost my business. When I can easily rent or buy DVDs/games from Redbox or Amazon, sterling customer service is what makes or breaks big-box stores like Hastings. I’m sorry to see that this location doesn’t understand that.

My favorite store to visit in Richmond, Kentucky. If you love movies, games, books, and other forms of entertainment then this place is not to be missed. And they rent movies at a great deal. They also have a drive-thru coffee shop connected to them that has a wonderful half price happy hour. Who needs Starbucks?

The staff is usually very nice, checkout sometimes takes too long though. Would recommend! Great place to hang out.

The staff here seems ignorant of their customers’ existence. The store layout is great for security but deplorable for shopping. The coffee shop is sectioned off to the side, the restrooms are hard to get too, past the check out and the electronics are overpriced. My friends’ book store closed due to theft, so I can look past the layout and security. The lack of service I can’t forgive, stores like these should pride themselves on their service. It’s just a huge let down to what could be an amazing shop. It was the coffee shop Batista that wound up helping us not the employees on the floor, and for a large shop and book store that’s just sad.

Best bang for your buck on selling them your movies games and DVDS. Took a few bags full of stuff to Half Priced books in Lexington they wanted to give me 17 dollars for all of it, took the same stuff to HPB and got back about 50 dollars.

A great place to buy books, CDs, DVDs, video games and so much more. Hastings always has a awesome selection of video games that are USED but have a guarantee with them. They have new stuff but one of the greatest things is they buy and resell used DVDs, CDs and books. Check often for their selections rotates fairly quick. Staff is helpful.
