Heritage Oaks Retirement Community is an independent living community located in heart of Richmond, Virginia. Heritage Oaks is the only independent living community in Richmond that offers an affordable alternative to traditional assisted living facilities. We have an independent, onsite home health agency available to assist our residents with basics needs as they arise. Bathing, dressing, meal service and medication management are provided and paid for based on an «a la carte» menu. Located in Richmond, Virginia, Heritage Oaks Retirement Community was built in 1987. Our residents come from across the U.S., often to be near their families in Richmond, Midlothian, Chesterfield, Henrico or Hanover. We have 121 spacious independent living apartments. Manager

Joe a registered nurse since 1982, has been the Executive Director at Heritage Oaks for 16 years. Joe keeps busy with his wife, also a nurse, and 3 sons who grew up around Heritage Oaks. You may see him out trimming trees with his chainsaw or driving the residents around town in the activity bus.
