Do NOT get your motorcycle state inspected here! I asked a month ago if they do them, made an appointment, and then was given some run around (after I left it there for over an hour!) about how they don’t have any stickers for a motorcycle. The excuse was, «We only do like 8 motorcycles a year.» I’m sorry, even more reason to have ample stickers! Or check first before you tell someone to drop off their vehicle. Very disappointed. I had to go elsewhere and wait all over again.

Raymond said my car would be ready at a certain time so I dropped it off for him to fix and waited for 2 and a half hours for my car to be ready. It wasn’t ready, and I was really late for work. They are also more expensive than the competition.

I just went there to have a light bulb replaced and they charged me $ 19 for 5 minutes of labor. When I questioned the absurdity of it, they gave me a rude response. If they overcharge for that, imagine how much they rip you off for car repairs. There is a service station on ridge rd 23 229 with very nice staff that changed the bulb me $ 8 in labor for the exact same bulb replacement. Please don’t let this BP get rip you off!

Definitely can’t recommend this establishment. I went there for an inspection and was told a list of 6 things that would cost nearly $ 600 to get my pass sticker. I paid the $ 16 for a rejection sticker and went 20 miles to a trusted mechanic. Half of what I was charged with, needed replacement to pass, according to him.
How is it that this type of mechanic at Libbie Place BP, can benefit from your wallet, while having authority to say whether or not you can have your vehicle on the road? It’s a manipulative system.

I will never recommend this place. I stopped by randomly yesterday 04.22.2013 to get a state inspection and was told that I needed new tires costing approx $ 600+. Per state inspection guidelines/​regulations you DO NOT «FAIL» a car for normal tired wear unless the threading/​wires are visible. One of my tires had a bump (probably from going over a pot hole) and that’s it. Left and went straight to Firestone tire (where I was quoted $ 498) for four tires and advice the service guy to complete the state inspection as well and he kindly asked, «Excuse me ma’am did you say they failed you because of tired wear.» I said, «YES!» he shaked his head and said, «I am not in the business to lie to people and your car passed without the new tires.» Needless to say I AM NEVER GOING BACK TO BP! Stay far far away!

We took our cars in to get them inspected. They said our Ford Explorer 2002 would need over $ 700 worth of work to pass inspection and brought up things I had never even heard of in my 40 years of driving. They said my Lexus would be $ 70 or $ 80 to replace things like the wiper blades. I had just had the wiper blades replaced 2 weeks before but I went ahead with it just to avoid taking it someplace else. My husband took the car to another service station who charged $ 15 and passed the car with out all of the bogus work Libbie Place BP said it needed. I would not go back.

This is one of the only places I trust to get my car worked on in Richmond. They are reliable, friendly, fast and don’t try to rip you off. This is the type of place where if you take your car in for an oil change they will thoroughly check out your car. If there’s a problem they will either recommend a service that will save the life of your car or suggest that you get your car looked at somewhere else. They don’t try to sell you ridiculous things like $ 100 air conditioner filters like some other oil change place. Additionally, they are very knowledgeable about Hondas.
