Great food. Been multiple times and enjoy the atmosphere. Wings are great and came out warm. Our waitress was nice but only came to check on us once. Waited over 20 minutes for a refill. We all know when ur dying of thirst you can’t eat until you have a sip of drink. Only reason I give 3 stars is for the service but if you want great food I highly recommend Mojo’s.

I’ve come here a couple of times with friends. Monday night wing nights are great just for the cheap price — I think it’s 50 cents per wing or something like that. The sauces were pretty good and the quality of the meat was average. I’ve also gotten the chicken parmesan sub from here, which I wouldn’t recommend, and the Philly cheesesteak, which I definitely would recommend! One of the best cheesesteaks in Richmond. Solid place to kick back and get cheap food; however, not an all-time favorite.

I’ve ordered delivery from here on several occasions, and dined in only a couple times. The service is on point whether its through delivery or dining in, however when getting food delivered they usually forget something, whether its a side or an extremely necessary condiment like their vegan roasted garlic sriracha aioli which I’ve had internal fits after not receiving considering I pretty much order the sweet potato tots to accompany the sauce not the other way around. Not that the tots arnt good, they are delicious, the sauce makes them though. So on top of the tots other recommended dishes would be their Burritos which are huge stuffed full of deliciousness(you can even get a philly burrito), their buffalo chicken salad is amazing as far as salads are concerned(they can really be only so good), and obviously their cheese steaks are pretty good. The food tends to be a bit on the greasy side. Every time i have ordered the traditional chicken wings they have been over cooked and a tad bit skimpy on the meat.

We went here for their«infamous» wings and were sadly disappointed. They were dry, bland, and lacking in flavor. Their buffalo wings were basically covered in Frank’s sauce, and their spicy garlic were smothered in oil and red pepper flakes to cover the lack of seasoning. Sadly, we will not return to this establishment.

I used to really enjoy this palace. The fish and chips here where the best I’ve had anywhere. They recently took it off the menu, so there’s really no reason to come anymore. The wing nights on Mondays after 7 are so busy, expect an hour wait for cold wings. I have to admit the spicy garlic sauce is good but not worth the hassle. I recently got delivery from here as well. The service was horrible! The delivery guy didn’t even call or get out of his car. I stood outside of my house in the snow trying to look for the delivery guy. He just drove off with my food(I know because I downloaded the tracker app). I had to call Mojo’s for him to come back. And when he returned be was extremely rude telling me he had the wrong address or that I gave the wrong address. I would not even give this place one star.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. This is not counting how they had NOTHING available today to order. Food — I ordered a cheeseburger sub from the few options available and I waited an HOUR for it to arrive. When it finally came out after I was about to leave, it was unseasoned, cold, bland, and no cheese. Service — Emma was great… until the end. When I told her there was no cheese on my CHEESE burger sub, she asked me what i wanted her to do about it. UHM how about pass it along to the chef?! This place isnt worth any stars from its horrendous service to its waitresses

I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a quality cheesesteak in RVA. Definitely my favorite cheesesteak in the city. Always fresh and they never skimp on portion. Give it a shot, seriously. You won’t be disappointed!

Mojo’s has an extensive and really interesting menu for vegetarians. The first time I went there, I got mozzarella sticks(my favorite) and tofu bites as an appetizer. The mozzarella sticks were very good(I don’t think you can really mess up fried cheese too badly), and the tofu bites were unlike anything I’ve ever had. I liked the texture a lot, but am not a huge fan of wing sauces. I’d like to see them add the tofu bites to different dishes. As for my entrée, I got eggplant parmesan. It came with tons of pasta; and I really mean tons-I’m pretty sure they put a whole box of pasta under the eggplant, and then a whole block of cheese on top. The pasta-eggplant-cheese ratio wasn’t optimal, but the eggplant was quite good!

Came for the weekend brunch out of curiosity and to try some place new. Has the Mexicali Benedict which I felt was a creative, but ultimately disappointing, twist on the Benedict. The potatoes lacked much crisp and were a bit heavy on oil, leaving a greasy texture in the mouth. The little fruit cup held some chunks of honey dew and cantaloupe but could have been more carefully cut from the rind. The actual Benedict was clever: black beans, corn bread muffin, two eggs, and a corn salsa. Tasted quite good but ultimately fails on several key areas. Getting a bite of everything was tricky since the corn and beans tended to go all over the place. Serving the beans in a more combined state such as a paste or patty would fix that and allow for more seasoning options. Corn salsa instead of Hollandaise? Inspired but it was less salsa and more niblets from a can all dressed up. The sauce must be a SAUCE. Corn blended into a queso would have been infinitely superior. Getting nitpicky, the eggs were fried and not poached. Over easy so not cooked through but it just adds a buttery/oil feel that I did not want or need. Poached eggs for a Benedict. Avocado would have helped jazz up the dish and added to the Mexicali feel. I gave three stars because the atmosphere is great and I’m judging brunch at a cheesesteak place. But if you’re offering brunch then expect to be judged on it. Service was excellent and the coffee nice(and always topped off). I’ll definitely come back but it’ll be for a cheesesteak.

Came here for lunch one day and I left full and satisfied. Mojo’s offer pretty big portions at a reasonable price. I had the boneless wings with hot sauce. Add fries for another dollar if you want to be full for the rest of the afternoon. I’ll be coming back real soon.

Awesome wings. Recommend any signature cheesesteak as well. Normally I always order takeout since I live down the street and they are always fast and the foods excellent. Try the pizza fries, it’s been a winner in the household each order

Once again I was in search for a Chicken Cheesesteak and that search brought me here. I was lightly damp from an afternoon shower and lightly sweating from the warm summer day. I walked in to a dive bar setting with alternative Rock playing in the background. There were booths along the walls with a bar with cheap bar stools in the back. Mojo’s is in a great location real close to the VCU campus. There were about 10 college type people distributed about and a family of 6 stuffed in a large booth. I ordered the Philly with Chicken, American cheese, peppers and onions. They had a good selection of Cheesesteaks and you could have one with Cheez Wiz like they make in actual Philadelphia. My Cheesesteak was good but not great. Lightly marinated chicken and a cheese a little bland. The roll wasn’t lightly toasted but the fries were good. I left content but still my travel continues in search for excellent Cheesesteaks.

Hot wings are great. I love the pride of Texas cheese steak. It’s a cool restaurant but I usually have a hard time getting good service. I’ll still go here though

It’s a dive bar with a good kitchen. Bar Food, done right. The lunch special offers are good, try their homemade pasta salad instead of the chips. Happy Hour is nice and they have a cool burger special.

Best cheesesteaks in Richmond! I’m from the Philly area and they use«wiz» cheese. They also chop up everything on a fresh hoagie roll. Buckets of tots was HUGE! Service was casual and attentive!

It is really the deals and specials that make this place shine. In many ways the good is simply slightly above average bar fair. But many of the items are good enough to be note worthy. The Philly cheese steak for example is really very good. Additionally the $ 6 four topping pizza at happy hour is delightful and filling.

14 September 2014; 13:04 — 13:30 Random stop on way back to NC from Richmond. Ordered two cheesesteaks(classic and MOJO), one with chips and one with steamed broccoli($ 16.47 total). PROS –Cheesesteak meat was plentiful and tasty. –MOJO cheesesteak was tasty(banana peppers). –Service was reasonably quick(despite previous reviews). –Steamed broccoli was good. –Second cheesesteak half off on Sundays. CONS –Bread was a bit stale. –Classic cheesesteak was bland. –TVs with football games were too loud. –Bar atmosphere. SUMMARY Average cheesesteaks at reasonable price in bar-like setting near VCU.

Stopped in here for RVA burger week and had their signature VCU burger. I have to say that i was very disappointed. Between the lackluster service from the waitress(who seem annoyed that we even came in before dinner rush), to the overcooked fries and burgers, it was not a good start to the burger week. The only thing worth mentioning was that i was happy to have a great deal of toppings on my burger– short of that, i realized i wll not be returning again until service picks back up– and restored to what it was 5 years ago when food was better and service was stellar.

If you’re looking for cheap eats and drinks and don’t mind small portions, this is a great place to go, especially if you’re a local and therefore don’t need to park. Went here with a group of friends recently(four of us total) and I had been meaning to give this place a try for a while. My modus operandi is typically: if they offer coupons and/or good deals, I go out of my way to try them. This place has some stellar daily specials(which I can’t list all of here, so you can commit it to memory when you go) as well as a ton of coupons regularly released in the Valpak mailings. On this particular day, they had a deal on $ 3BBQ sandwiches, which I availed myself of, as well as a Brookyln Lager. Both were excellent but be forewarned: portions are VERY small. This is excellent if you’re on a diet or a budget, just don’t expect to leave full off of one meal here. The double budget Ram burger and wings my other friends got were excellent as well. My beer was quite good(though it’s hard to mess up beer) but my compatriot’s lemon drop was just that: a shot of liquor with a lemon in it. Maybe this particular visit’s bartender was just new, though for now I’d caution against ordering any shots/cocktails here unless you don’t mind taking the risk. Service was good and our server wanted to make sure we had a good time. She offered to get my friend with the bad lemon drop another drink, which he agreed to, though she still ended up charging him for both, so it wasn’t exactly a benefit to him. The atmosphere was fun, very Richmond-y in its diversity and quirkiness. The only other issue I’d take is with their parking, which will either cost you money by parking on Cary street or be difficult to find on a sidestreet. Best of luck to you if you’re driving there! Overall, this is still a very pleasant place to go, especially if you just want a light bite to eat and a cheap beer. Overall: 3.0 stars — — — — – Pros: — Food is good quality. — Deals/coupons/specials make this place a good budget choice. — Fun/quirky atmosphere gives this place a lighthearted feel to it. — Beer is good… Cons: — … Mixed drinks are not so great. — Portions are small, so unless you’re on a diet, this won’t help you. — Seems to be a lot of service staff turnover, so expect someone new to serve you. — Parking is a challenge, walk if you can.
