Multi Locksmith

My car ignition would not turn and the steering wheel had locked. On Saturday I was referred to Multi after my first and second choice referrals turned out not to be mobile locksmiths or were not able to help out. The locksmith assigned to me showed up soon but it became apparent that they did not have much, if any experience with Hyundai cars. Apparently this sort of thing doesnt happen much to those cars. In any case several hours went by and we were not able to get the car started by ‘bumping’ the key even after the locksmith left to create a new key at his house and come back while I waited.
After what seemed like 2 – 4 hours and multiple phone calls they made to confirm options if they were forced to drill since ‘bumping’ would not work, we decided to give up for the night. I then contacted Hyundai roadside assist and was thinking that I would need to have the car towed to a dealership to have it fixed.
When roadside assist showed up and I explained the problem they decided to try bumping it before towing it. It worked ON THE FIRST TRY! They used a large flashlight to bump it and I am unsure if that made the difference because we were only using small objects the day before but as you can imagine I was quite frustrated about the previous unsuccessful experience with Multi. I was told that this was due to ‘luck’ since the machinery inside the ignition has to catch the key just right.
I still had to fix the ignition mechanism so I shopped around this time and found another locksmith (not a mobile locksmith) that quoted 70% less than Multi and went to them instead. They fixed the problem in less than an hour.
I have to give Multi credit for 2 stars because they exhibited tenacity in helping me and offered to reduce the consultation cost. I will give the locksmith the benefit of the doubt that this was a ‘luck’ thing but I will let you be the judge of that. My advice: if you have a Hyundai try to find someone who has more experience or contact roadside assist first.

These guys were quick and professional. There was a little delay in getting a locksmith to the location, but once on scene, Devin was great. He got us back into our very secure unit promptly and without any structural damage.

These guys are awesome. Very professional, were on time, and were quite knowledgeable. They went out of their way to show us how to use the locks, how to reconfigure smart lock keys (to save us money), and so forth. They were also patient while I was on the phone with my security company trying to get our ZWave locks registered to our controller. Will definitely be calling them back if I have any locksmithing needs in the future. Thanks!

Apparently this is a service that contracts with different locksmiths in the area. I had no inkling of how the business was run; I just needed a locksmith because my car key had broken off inside the door lock and there was no way I could get it out. Oh and did I mention the sun was going down and I had to move my car from the parking lot where I was stuck? I was contemplating having the car towed but I’m glad I didn’t. I called Multi Locksmith and about half an hour later a guy named Tommy showed up. I had to wait a bit because it was rush hour but it was no big deal. Given the rush hour traffic, he got there pretty fast. Well, long story short, Tommy had that broken key out in less than sixty seconds and I was on my way. I believe you get what you pay for and their service was top notch from beginning to end. Tommy was a real pro and he made it look easy believe me. If you get locked out of your car don’t think twice, call these guys.

My husband’s car was broken into in our condo garage so needless to say, I was feeling a bit unsafe. I decided to call Multi Locksmith to have a dead bolt placed on our condo door right away. They were able to send Tommy out the same night. He gave me a time frame for Tommy to call and he did. He confirmed a scheduled time and actually came on time. He was able to place the dead bolt on my door quickly and efficiently. The job quality looked better than our original lock! He was polite and very professional. I would definitely recommend them to anybody who needs locksmith services.

After loosing my car keys and calling several companies who couldn’t make my type of key (2004 BMW) I finally was referred to Multi Locksmith.
Mike answered the phone and was very friendly and professional. Within 45 mins I had one of their techs out and 30 mins later I had two keys (and remotes!) in my hands.
Lets just say that I would pay much more than they asked (don’t tell them I said that) for such outstanding service!
I have already locked their number in my phone and they will be the first ones I call if I ever need any key/​lock related work done. Thank you Multi Locksmith for making my day! =)

I lost the keys of my Toyota Tundra on a Friday evening and didn’t have a spare one. I wanted to resolve this immediately and contacted several parties in the Richmond Berkeley area by phone.
45 minutes after contacting Multi Locksmith Noam arrived in a van at the parking where my car was parked and started working. The whole process took about 2.5 hours and was way more complex than I could imagine. The first hour went into creating the key, while the other hour went into programming the car to accept the key. he clearly knew what he was doing and informed me about each step through the whole process. Although there are better ways to spend a Friday evening, it was intriguing to see how he gained access to the car and created keys out of nothing.
Even-​though the process took longer than expected (each car is a unique case) I did not pay anything extra. No hidden fees, no extra charges. I paid exactly what was communicated during the initial phone call. Because Noam communicated a fixed price, the time he spend did not change anything to the fixed price.
I highly recommend Multi Locksmith. They’re fast, reliable, resilient and deliver exactly what they promise.

I called Multi locksmith for an eviction lockout. They were referred to me by another locksmith that I had used previously, who is out of town.
Tommy confirmed an hour before the appointment right on the dot. (I requested that they call me an hour before, instead of their usual 30 minutes). The lockout was scheduled for 12:20pm, and he showed up and called me at noon. I really liked that he was there 20 minutes early.
Tommy was very professional and did a great (and fast) job re-​keying the lock right in his van. He helped me with getting the garage door lock back in the door as well, since the sheriff had to open it with a manual key, and he made sure that the garage door worked properly. I was charged for the service call of coming out here ($ 49) and the lockout ($ 85) for a total of $ 134, which I thought was a very reasonable price.
After he left, I spent about 15 minutes in my car on the phone. When I remembered to go back to the unit to make sure that the sliding door was locked, I accidentally… Wait for it… Locked my car key in the car!!! –_​_​_​_​– I called Tommy back, who asked me what kind of car I have, and said he will turn back and help me in 20 to 25 minutes.
He arrived again, and took 20 seconds to unlock my car. I asked how much I owe him, and he said that the car lockout is $ 75 and he’s supposed to charge me another service fee, but he will waive it. I fully realize that he could have charged me another service fee, since he did turn back and spend more time on the road, so I really appreciated that he waived it for me.
All in all, everything went smoothly. I would recommend Multi locksmith, and would use them again.

Called Multi Locksmith to get a new key programmed for my push to start car and he showed up in 30 minutes and got it done right away! Great service, very polite and friendly and gave very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend!

The best locksmith service in the area!!! I lost my key to my house few hours ago and didn’t know what to do!!! I called multi locksmith and they were pro over the phone and much better when the technician came for the rescue, he came in 30 min like they promise, unlock my house in no time and rekey and program the main door lock (see pic) to the doors at my house, he was polite and did a great job, two thumbs up I will definitely use the services again if I need, if you need good customer service and great guys you know who to call!!! Thx again!!!

They are great!!! I never met such a honest and professional locksmith before. I lost my BMW keys and didn’t found someone to help me in dissent price all the east Bay Area until I call Multi-​locksmith. They told me the price immediately (which no one else did), come quickly although it was weekend, and did excellent professional job.
I also use Noam to change lock on my business door and I got super special high security deadbolt from MUL-​T-​LOCK The technician was kind so I’ll be happy to use their service again for sure.

What a GREAT SERVICE I GOT TODAY!!!
I called multi locksmith today to make me a key to my Honda Accord, they came in 25 min and did a great job Highly recommended will call them again and again those are my favorite locksmith in the area they doing good big and small jobs commercial residential automotive, thx again!!!

DO NOT CALL MULTI LOCKSMITH UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE HELD HOSTAGE AND HIT UP FOR CASH PAYMENT! I called them to have a lock on a business repaired. The locks had been broken due to a burglary and the door unusable. Noam was able to come the same day late in the afternoon, but he did not have any logo or documentation on the truck (like the ones so nicely displayed on their website), we asked to confirm the license and he became very irate. He then demanded a cash payment and told us we would get a discount if we paid cash. When we declined cash payment since this was a business and needed documentation for insurance purposes, he got irate. We had a metal plate installed with the lock and the cuts on the metal plate were so jagged and rough that we had customers coming in complain. We asked him to smooth the cuts out and he became irate and THREATENED TO REMOVE THE LOCKS AND LEAVE SO THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER EMERGENCY LOCKSMITH! How’s that for customer service?! Finally one of our customers who is an attorney and who witnessed the events unfolding took pity on us and dealt with Noam and he finally came out to finish the job.
Unfortunately, we selected him due to generous Unilocal ratings, but it looks like from the reviews, unless you have a simple job and cash payment, I would suggest you find someone more reputable and save yourself the trouble.
Don’t bother replying Multi Locksmith unless you want to refund me in cash.

I called in to make an appointment for 4:30 pm. I was told a tech should be there from 4:30 to 5:30. At around 11am tech called me to confirm appointment and address. it’s 6pm and the tech hasn’t arrived. I called him to find out what’s going on and he told me he got another job before mine and that he’ll make it in an hour. Guy didn’t show up till 7:30!
Long story short, he refused to waive the $ 49 service charge for being 2 hours late. He wanted to charge me $ 89 for a spare car key even after i told him the dealer charges $ 40(he ended up giving it to me for $ 45). And i was never told that there’s a 3% fee for paying with a card when i initially called to make an appointment and asked if they take credit card
The work it self was good but their costumer service needs help.

I used this guys when I locked my self out of my car. The service was fast, Noam opened my car door so fast and the price was reasonable. I recommended them to my wife which work as a property manager in Berkeley and now she has them on her speed dial. she used them few times already to help fix a broken lock and to help few tenants with a lockout.

Noam & Avi at Multi-​Locksmith are totally super!!! They worked so hard to fix my complicated situation with my Honda key and a malfunctioning lock system. They truly rose to the challenge and did not give up when presented with a real puzzle.
