I have never given my money to a business that is so unappreciative. The quality is not the same since this owner purchased the business. I’ve had broken buttons, wrinkles and stains. The owner needs some assistance when it comes to showing her customers she appreciates it. Remember, dry cleaners are on every corner.

I brought in a jacket that was completely ruined. To be fair I brought it in accidentally as it was not supposed to be dry cleaned. However, when I brought up the fact that it was ruined this to the attention of the person who worked there and then the owner, I was told by both of them that ruining it was impossible because they check the labels and go by the instructions before they do anything. The owner continued to argue that it could not have happened, when it clearly did, then changed her story to where it was my fault for bringing the jacket in. It was a horrible experience.

My husband’s jacket was completely ruined by them! They did NOT follow the care instructions when cleaning, and lied about it. Upon pick-up they never accepted responsibility for the damage and to top it off offered to reduce the cost to $ 5. They were never accountable for their mistake. I asked them to please be fair and pay for the jacket– they refused. I rarely write reviews, but I felt it was necessary to make this public knowledge. The woman I communicated with was the manager, and her name is Natasha.

So I decided to use this cleaners because of the green certification. However, a number of times, I’d have to take items back because they were given to me with stains on the clothes that weren’t there before. If you don’t have your receipt, you’ll be in the fight of your life to get them to fix the problem, even though the stains were clearly from their machines. The final straw was when they shrunk five of my husbands shirts. They were fairly new & only worn a couple of times, but they came back with the sleeves hitting several inches above his wrists. When I took the shirts back with the receipts, the owner refused to make restitution & called me a liar. She insisted that I had taken them somewhere else, did something to them because«she never heard of such a thing, «or his arms grew. Let’s just say that DH ‘s last growth spurt was decades ago, so there is no way his arms grew longer overnight. Thanks to them I had to spend hundreds of dollars replacing the shirts, but I also found a much better traditional cleaner. Sorry but I’d rather have my clothes covered in chemicals, than deal with a business that screws up and then blames the customer.

An update — I think one of my silk dresses may have shrunk a tiny bit. It’s a silk dress with a poly lining(yes, I know :-(). The poly lining is now showing slightly when I wear the dress(hem is longer than the outer silk layer), whereas before it wasn’t. Also, it fits tighter. On the other hand, other silk dresses and shirts I’ve taken haven’t shrunken. They fit as loose as before. Strange. I wonder if it’s a weave thing, or if the shirt had been pretreated type of thing. I’d be curious if my other dress wouldn’t have shrunk any way after being in the rain, for example. Curiouser and curiouser…

I was looking for an inexpensive cleaners near my dads senior living place. Turns out this is the closest and they all love it. We brought in a large load of window valences, a very simple job. But they had to send them out and it took a week, which I think excessive. They were clean, didn’t smell, but cost a bit more than I expected. At least we didn’t have heavy chemicals so we could feel virtuous.

Think about taking your clothes to the cleaners — you’re expecting the chemical stink both in the store and on your cleaned clothes, right? Wrong — at Organic Cleaners, they use water and steam to clean. No chemicals. Their prices are competitive with traditional dry cleaners, which means you can avoid what amounts to a chemical spill on your skin without paying more for the privilege!
