I am currently a college student and I know nothing about cars. All I knew was that I needed an oil change because of the sticker on my car and it was reaching that mileage. I called at least 3 places to compare prices and asked if they had time for me today. Whoever answered the phone told me I could come within the hour and told me about their groupon deal that I did not know about! It was my first oil change on my own and I didn’t want to be scammed because I don’t know cars. Once I arrived, they took me right away and I walked around at the nearby shopping center. I received a call about 40 mins later saying it was ready, but there were somethings I needed to service my car. My car only has 40K on it so I didn’t feel like it was necessary. I normally google things to see if I need them before I say yes to a $ 500 job. Turns out I didn’t need the service or new tires (thanks to the penny test). I’m happy they took my in on short notice and offered me the groupon!

I brought my car in for a state inspection and it failed due to the brakes I had replaced a month ago. I decided to take it somewhere else and it passed with flying colors. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR A STATE INSPECTION OR ANYTHING ELSE!!! All they are trying to do is screw people out of money. I will never go back again or recommend this place to anyone else for anything.

Cannot recommend Precision Tune enough! My wife and I both go here for everything and recommend it to everyone! The staff is friendly, direct, patient, and honest. We felt that we were treated like humans, not ATMs. The prices are very reasonable and competitive. Check out their website for coupons!
For an example, we just went in to get an oil change and asked them to check out the why the engine light was on (free, with online coupon). Turns out the engine light was on because our catalytic converter was dangerously near the end of its lifespan. We got an oil change, replacement of the converter, new rear O2 sensors, a cleaning of the area (forget what this is technically called), 3 windshield chips sealed, a multi-​point inspection, and tire rotation for $ 900, total. I challenge you to find that cheaper elsewhere! Plus, for this service, I’d pay just about anything. You can’t put a price on being treated decently.

I am so impressed by the service at Precision Tune on Broad. My car broke down and it has been a headache to fix. Doug has been so helpful in finding parts that weren’t even made anymore. He checked several junkyards for me and ended up finding the parts. He even offered to come to my home to look at the problem after he fixed it. We knew these new parts were a crapshoot but I really feel like they truly value my business and are doing everything in their power to help me. Doug also offered to give me a refund if we were unable to get the problem resolved and I didn’t even have to ask.
The waiting area is nice too. Cable TV, Keurig (always stocked with k cups), a good array of magazines and a charging station for your electronics.
Edited to add: they quoted me $ 750 for the fix to which I agreed and only ended up charging me $ 630. Honest pricing goes a long way in my book!

I recently (8÷31÷2015) went to the Nissan dealership for an inspection. During the inspection, I was told that I needed several things which included the replacement of the rear sway bar. I was quoted $ 295 to repair the sway bar and my car failed the inspection. I called numerous shops to get a quote including Precision. The receptionist was extremely helpful and caring. I took my car to Precision’s and I was told that my car actually should’ve passed inspection. IF I wanted to get the work done I could’ve but it was an option. My total came to $ 126, saving me tons of money and time! It took only 30 min and I was on my way with a passed inspection and a new sway bar. I’m definitely happy with the service that I received!

Went in for their cheap oil change. Got a call that I needed my back break light changed and my headlights cleaned. That would cost 50 bucks. Declined; got my car back. And no back break light needed at all! They were dishonest and I will not be returning.
Also DET will clean your headlights like some of the most expensive cleaners. You can find that in the bug spray ‘Off’.

Came in for windshield wipers and air in my tires, was told it would be 45 minutes but after and hour and ½ I was still waiting. That’s a 5 – 10 min job tops! Just think that’s bad business to give someone a time frame, go way over and not give me an update till I stand at the desk to ask. Then I’m told it will take longer. I brought a govt vehicle so maybe they don’t care cuz they know how much they can charge me. I don’t recommend this place and with all the other options nearby, I will not return… unless the manager reaches out to me to make up for the bad service! After telling me it would take 5 more min.‘s It took another 40! Ridiculous!

I’ve never taken the time to write a review, not even on amazon, but I received a level of service here that I could not ignore. I work around auto shops for a living and have encountered hundreds of them. I get auto repair done once or more per month and I’ve tried roughly six different shops just within the last year.
Precision in willow lawn will be the only shop I go to from now on hands down. They stayed open an hour after their closing time on a Friday night to finish my repair work. The quality of work was outstanding with also a faster than average turn around. Melissa the manager was extremely accommodating and knowledgable, and Caitlyn was great with customer service.
Everything about this location from their attention to detail to their positive attitudes was better than any shop in the area. Many other shops initial quotes versus the price you end up paying are far different, not at this Precision location. And their prices were way more fair than any other shop I’ve dealt with, honestly with how good the location is I would have paid twice as much than I did to receive that high a quality of customer service and repair work.
I won’t go anywhere else hands down. And I probably won’t ever write another review cause I highly doubt anyone will give me that level of service.

I have no time on the weekdays to get a state inspection. Called this place fri night to get it done sat morning as soon as they opened. Went sat at 815am and the guy working there said that they couldnt give me an estimate of how long my inspection would take. Everywhere else ive called said that they could get it done in a hour. Very frustrating and not helpful. They also said that they dont take appointments for state inspections because its against the law…

Came in during my lunch today to get a headlight restoration. I had a 1pm appointment that I made as required by the voucher I had purchased.
The restoration worked really great, as you can see by the picture. I’d give the experience a solid 3.5 because the effectiveness of the treatment but they need to work on scheduling. They were booking two people at the same time I was told as an offset to people that were not showing up. If both show up though just as it was the case with the 1pm time slot it looks bad when you find out someone else is waiting. too. It really felt like they botched the booking at first.
When I first got there I was told the tech was just finishing up lunch and he would talk with me as soon as he was done. After waiting for a while with two other people I inquired and was told he was working on my car. Well he’d never checked with any of us and he certainly wasn’t working on my car. He did get right to my car after all that but I think they need to not double book the appointments. I understand their desire to try and keep business flowing but it just made for tons of confusion this time.

After going to two garages in The Fan, where we were met with contempt and ambiguity (not knowing when our car would be done, or if they could get to it at all), Precision welcomed us upon arrival – and with a «can-​do» attitude. Brian was super professional, laid-​back and made sure that the timing of the inspection met our needs. He said it would be an hour, and that worked for me, but it took under 20 minutes!
My only complaint is that I wasn’t able to finish the US Magazine in the waiting room.

Like everyone else in the state of Virginia we forgot that our state inspection was expired and of course its a Saturday. Everyone I called either laughed, coughed or made it sound like I wanted a Governor’s Pardon to get my car inspected.
Precision Tune Auto Center not only answered the phone (shockingly awesome — since so many didnt even bother doing that) they also told me if I can drop it off it would get done the same day (on a Saturday)! Its a pain to get to but they were super friendly. Precision got my car inspected and was able to get it done within 3 hours on a Saturday with no appointment.
Going forward for quick inspections and little things I will always hit up Precision as my first choice.
