Providence Golf Course

I drove over here today, as I discovered it’s less than 10 minutes from my hotel.
The main clubhouse has a small eating area and retail shop. I spoke to the man at the counter about their hours and prices. I mentioned it was was first visit and that I was interested in using the driving range. He handed me a bucket of balls and directed me to the range (on the left when you first enter the course, right behind the pavilion). Since it was my first visit, he said, «it’s on the house.». Sweet!
The driving range is scenic (see photo) and the pavilion right behind it has about 10 picnic tables. A nice area to change your footwear and/​or take a break.
This is a convenient driving range for me. Someday, I’ll graduate to playing the course regularly. (Course is highly rated by Golf Digest.)
