My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon. We stayed three other places in Maine during that trip but this place was our favorite. Very relaxed, low-key atmosphere… a great place to get away from it all. The little apartment we stayed in was clean and cozy. The sauna was awesome. There is also a hot tub and swimming pool. Everyone was really nice. We’re thinking about going back soon.

Both the Bed and Breakfast AND the sauna/pool aspects are just great. The place is rustig, and there is nothing fancy about it. This is a clothing optional/nudist kinda place and everyone is respectful of others.(Those that aren’t are told to leave… politely the first time.) Richard and Ginny are the owners, bed and breakfast hosts and they are welcoming and friendly. The continental breakfast will not be vast, but the coffee will be plentiful and the sticky buns or cinnamon rolls will be fresh and delicious.(by not vast, the continental breakfast is usually a sticky bun and coffee.) In the summer, guests lie out on the lawn and catch some rays. Another fun social activity offered that I like to take advantage of. I have stayed twice and visited probably 8 – 10 times as of this review, it has always been fun and I am always glad I made the trip or took the detour.(edit, I have now stayed 4 times and visited at least 30 times, as of July 2013).

The people who own the place are nice enough. I enjoyed the lawn, the pool, the sauna. We enjoy the clothing optional life style and this place fits with that. We stayed at the Inn — a huge mistake. I felt peculiar when there were several Playboy magazines around the common living areas. In our bedroom, there was a Penthouse and something called«Inches» that consisted of naked men displaying how many inches they had. I personally don’t think a clothing optional lifestyle is consistent with pornography. They have a series of cameras in the house that I thought were for a security system, but after seeing the pornography all over the house, maybe it was for something else. As much as we enjoyed the outdoor spaces, I will never go back.

Ok, I like this place. There is a Bed and Breakfast here, a covered pool, a big lawn, private and publc saunas and a public hot tub facility. It is clothing optional. YOU can be «free» if you wish. You meet nice people and no one is rude or distasteful. I liked it. The cost for the facilitiesw are $ 25 a person for 4 hours. I think the B&B is $ 89 a night. We don’t stay at the B&B cause we are staying at my Mom-in-law’s which is 9 miles away. Anyways, Hop in, the water is fine. Good way to relax and unwind. I love the couple that runs the place too. They are so sweet. I can’t recall their names, Paul and Jannese? Yeah, really sweet people.
