South Beach Bar & Grill

It’s a pretty decent dive bar. The drinks are strong and the music never stops. There’s a TouchTunes in one section of the bar for top 20 hits and live band in the side bar. It’s also one of the few bars in the area where you can smoke inside if that’s your thing. It’s worth checking out if you’re in the area for happy hour, or if you want to catch the game with a beer.

My wife got sick from the tarter sauce. 6 of us ate there and my wife and I had the same meal, only difference was she had some of the tarter sauce and I did not. Would not eat here again.

Looks like it could be a fun place for a bar, but DO NOT go here if you’re looking to eat late — and by late I mean all of 9:30. We left after an hour 15 with only one drink under our belt and food that never arrived. Service sucked. Taco Bell was a blessing after that point.

Came on a Friday, the second I walked in the door I was hit with a whirlwind of cigarette, cigar, and black and mild smoke. The room was literally one big cloud. Unbearable. However, the reason they get an extra couples stars is ONLY because on Friday nights they have dueling pianos in the side bar (separate room, non smoking) the piano guys were a great show. Didn’t try any of the mixed drinks. Just stuck to beer and a side car. Definitely didn’t try any food, I don’t think I would trust that… Service was decent.

This place is a joke. Trashy and way too many bros, not to mention their beer mugs are plastic and always taste like soap, the beer was WARM and nobody’s shirts had sleeves. Their beer selection isn’t much more than your local gas station. I wouldn’t in a million years order food here! Trash.

I like the atmosphere here, reminds me of some of the places in VA Beach. Our waiter did great, the food was spot on and they have like three bars, what’s not to like? More specifically we started with an appetizer of bacon cheese beach fries which are addicting! For my meal I had the slider trio which was a crab cake slider, jerk chicken slider and a regular burger slider with a side of roasted red potatoes which were alright but some were under cooked unfortunately. So not the best food in town but still pretty good, I was really digging the crab cake slider.
We’re definitely going to check this place out some more because it looks like it could be a great watering hole, they have a lot of out door seating and corn hole. If you sit inside you may get to see the dueling pianos (we left before they had a chance to set up and play so I have no idea how good they really are.)

This building has never had a decent establishment in the 25 years I’ve lived in Chesterfield. Add South Beach to the fail list.
Its an extremely less classy attempt at a Boathouse. The beer selection is that of a CVS pharmacy. I know plenty of food carts in Richmond which serve way better dishes. The ambiance is reminiscent of a trailer park.
I am all about local business but please uphold at least some level of quality.

We thought we’d give this new place a try. The empty parking lot should have been a dead giveaway. We were served tasteless burgers and subpar drinks. No one in our party loved their meal and most of the food was sent back to the kitchen untouched.
