I’ve been here a handful of times due to convenience of the location and not having to fight for a parking spot. The service I’ve had in the past has been great. Everyone is friendly and willing to answer any questions, as well as make recommendations. The food is okay, but I feel like the burger wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. I’d go back to try other burgers for sure though.
I really like the atmosphere and the feel of the restaurant. I’m hoping to come back one night for trivia. I’ve noticed in passing they have a trivia night and it seems like a good time.

Came here for burgers and shakes, adult shakes that is. The shakes so good, you won’t be disappointed. Onto the food, I wasn’t very thrilled with it, it was ok, the same goes for the plate of salad. The staff is really nice though.

I ate here recently while I was on a day trip in Richmond. I actually decided to go here based on other Unilocal reviews, and they weren’t wrong. Nice atmosphere. We were seated close to the bar which I appreciated because there were several TVs in the bar area, all with some kind of sporting event on (I’m a sports fan). The TVs were far enough not to distract me from my date, but close enough so I could see scores clearly now and then.
The server was very kind. She even recommended a couple of dishes since it was our first visit. We got wet fries which have smoked gouda and gravy (reminded me of an American take on poutine). They were good but a tad bland (I prefer salty flavors so maybe it was just me). We also ordered a pineapple hard cider which was a nice complement to the savory fries.
Lastly, we had the peanut butter pie. Rich and delicious! I don’t have a sweet tooth (I don’t typically eat dessert) so I didn’t finish it all, but it was still delicious. I’m sure it will more than satisfy someone with a sweet tooth and a love for peanut butter and chocolate.
I didn’t order a burger, but I saw several that I wanted to try (spicy wasabi? curryous? station ladder? Yes, please!).
The service was a little slow and it wasn’t very busy. 4 out of 5 stars, and I’d definitely go back to try a burger and a shake!

Truthfully, I don’t remember the restaurant.
I was tired and starving after wrestling pumpkins all afternoon,
so I probably should have been more annoyed with everything.

As a person who does not indulge in meat,
I was grateful I had two base patty options (black bean and edamame).
The great thing here is you can sub whatever patty you want
on whatever burger you want.
I typically have a mix and match inclination when it comes to food,
so this was right up my alley.

As for ambiance, it’s pretty standard bar experience
but a little roomier.
Our booth definitely felt like an isolated space
within a louder, excited-​about-​football space.
This would have been a three star rating
but I’m bumping it up to four
because of the bounty of options

I really dig this spot, which is sort of on the border of Shockoe Bottom and Church Hill. It wasn’t somewhere I seriously had on my radar, but had heard of. When Millie’s was closed for lunch on a Monday, I saw that they were open so this is where we went. And I’m happy we did.
The atmosphere is great here. Very open and bright, lots of natural light. And lots of seating outside if the weather is nice. Their menu is pretty simple, but I found the layout to be pretty helpful. In addition to the tradition beef burger, they had several alternatives, which were leaner and/​or veggie. The burger combinations were pretty interesting and they recommended a type of patty to go with each.
