This place is fantastic! I’ve tried spinning at other places, but this place had me hooked since the first ride. Not only will you get an awesome workout, but you will have a blast as you burn calories. Tidalwheel combines spinning with choreography to make you feel like you’re dancing on a bike.

I have been riding at Tidal Wheel since grand opening day in September of 2013. I was immediately hooked. The work out is like no other that you will find in Richmond!
The focus on upper body strength and weight training in addition to cardio makes this cycling class one of a kind. You have the option of using 2, 3, or 5 pound weights, and a portion of the class is dedicated towards weight training ON the bike. Between the combination of cardio, weight training, heavy resistance, and even a core workout… there is no exaggeration when you hear that this class is a full body work out, because that is exactly what you will get.
The instructors are all very knowledgable and encouraging and truly focus on making this the ultimate 45 minute work out. They are motivating and there to guide you and push you to your limits and reach your fitness goals. All of the instructors have different teaching styles, so unlike other group fitness classes, you don’t feel like this class gets too «routine», you will not be disappointed.
From the amazing music and playlists to the disco ball lights and dance moves, you have to give Tidal Wheel a shot. Guaranteed you will be addicted after one class. And what’s great about that, is there are now unlimited monthly and yearly packages that offer folks an amazing discount!
After 100+ classes as a dedicated rider, I have now joined the Tidal Wheel team as an instructor and am excited to continue my cycling journey with this amazing studio. Aside from teaching, I still consider myself to be a customer as I tend to take 3 – 4 classes as a rider every week. Tidal Wheel truly is one of a kind and I am so happy to have found this local studio to help me reach my utmost fitness potential.

After trying out lots of other indoor cycling studios, including big-​name ones (cough, cough) in NYC and DC, I can honestly say that Tidal Wheel is THE best.
The space is intimate, and the instructors & staff are incredibly motivational and helpful at all times. The shoe rentals are free — a HUGE plus, and the instructors are constantly offering modifications and ways you can either bump up, or bump down, your workout.
Each class is a 45-​minute, total body, cardio blast that burns up to 800 calories per session. The instructors push you to the point where you leave, and know without a doubt, that you gave it your all. Since I started going to Tidal Wheel, I’ve noticed a huge change in how toned by legs and arms are, and how much stronger I feel when I do other cross-​training exercises (running, pilates, etc.).
If you’re looking for an efficient, energetic, and EFFECTIVE workout, head to Tidal Wheel ASAP for a new fitness régime that will have you hooked.

I decided to check out the West End location of Tidal Wheel after checking out some reviews online. I’m really glad I checked it out! The location is right behind the Shops at 5807 Patterson. Although it was a really tight fit in the studio, once I got situated and class got started, I didn’t even notice. The studio was clean, the bikes were awesome, and getting set up was a breeze.
My instructor was Kim, and she was fantastic! Really upbeat, played great songs, and really switched things up. I got a great sweat and would definitely take her class again.
The only thing stopping me from rating my experience a 5 was misinformation on the Tidal Wheel website. I was really excited to try their introductory 6 weeks for $ 59, but when I got there, I was told it was only at the Innsbrook location. Checking again, it definitely is listed on the West End page as well. A bit frustrating. That’s my only negative comment though.
