The best Thai restaurant that I know of. The food is always great. I like to order the Pad See Ew with a medium amount of spiciness. The taste is sweet and spicy; really good. Also, I love the chicken lettuce wraps for an appetizer.

Now this is some seriously good Thai food! We’ve been there twice in the last month and it’s very much across town. I hate to say I don’t know what exactly I had but it was a pork dish and the other time a seafood dish! The egg rolls… both the wrap and fried are wonderful! My wife had the shrimp and broccoli dish and I tasted that, too! I’m really putting this w/the best Thai food in town. Great service. They have a major league carry out business. One lady told us she picks up a dish at least twice a week. Both times we were there… I’d guess a half dozen or more people picked up their food«to go»…I’m ready to go again! Loved it.

Go hungry so you can order the Num Dok beef appetizer and something else off the menu. If I lived in Richmond I would be a regular here. Instead I make the pilgrimage whenever I’m in town. For this trip I decided to try the pumpkin curry medium heat along with the Num Dok beef. It was delicious.

Food is just okay. The customer service was good. We ordered chicken and beef pad see ew. The meat was overcooked and tough. The noodles were cooked fine but flavorless. I would not go back as I’m sure there are better places around here.

I had lunch here and it was really good. Very quiet around 2:00. I ordered the pad kapow(sp?) which was delicious! I don’t live here so I know nothing about this restaurant. I saw a Thai sign from the road and stopped in because I LOVE Thai food. I will definitely go back if I’m in the area.

Finally we decided to try this’ always empty parking lot’ restaurant with good reviews? Here’s the story. There was only one table with customers, and the beer was old. Ok… the restroom was horrible… dirty!!! About food, Tom Yong Goon was bland and on sour side, not good. Sauce for spring rolls was on the sweet side. Papaya salad was pretty good. As for PAD Thai, pale looking, bland and beefy. Needs a lot of work on those dishes. I can find better thai food in town, so this one is out.

The food is good here and they offer take out — It can be a bit of a wait if they are busy… Ample parking, clean place and lots of options on the menu — reasonably priced and they offer beer and wine options. The owners are very nice — everything is cooked to order.

Food is very good. We always order shrimp rolls which are delicious. The only reason i can only go up to 4 stars is because they dont have any professional waiting staff only family people and the service is very slow sometimes.

I visited yesterday evening and ordered a beef stir fry meal(something that I couldn’t pronounce). It was amazing, great flavors… BUT Thai doesn’t agree with me. The end. Happy Unilocaling :)

My first experience here was pretty good. That’s why I came back. It’s close to where I live so that’s an added plus. Service was good. It’s nice on the inside. Food was exceptional. If I’m being really nitpicky, I could of used more rice. I not am expert on spicy but I order medium and didn’t taste much spice but again nitpicking here. It’s probably just my tolerance to spicy foods. Overall a great place to eat.

Order pad thai to go, 4 stars spicy. What I recieved was bland, vinegar tasting, and overcooked. The 4 small pieces of chicken in my pad thai were cooked well, which I guess is something. Also works out well if you are trying to lose weight. I literally ate just enough to not starve and threw the rest away. Sad.

My Thai friend brought me here and said it was authentic. Excellent service and hospitality. I got the Tom Kha Gai, which was very milky and flavorful. The beef salad was absolutely delicious and I paired it with an order of perfectly cooked sticky rice. Prices were very reasonable too!

Food 5 Service 4 Ambiance 4 Excellent Thai place! Exceeded my expectations. I had the daily special, pumpkin curry with shrimp and chicken. Not only was it amazing, the quantity was enough for two meals and was cheaper than many other Thai restaurants that serve less. They were slow to refill drinks and bring the bill but were very friendly and helpful in explaining the menu.

The service was fast and the food was good. The Massaman curry is worth trying. A little bit sweet, a bit of spice combine with a nice nutty. (includes whole peanuts)

Excellent food! My Mom and I got takeout here the other night and we were both impressed with the quality of the food. Pretty decent prices, nice reusable takeout containers, good portions, and SPICY as requested. We ordered the fresh garden spring rolls as an appetizer, which were pretty typical, perhaps a bit beefier than usual. A small order came with three and a side of sweet chili dipping sauce. For our entrees we ordered the Pad Spicy Eggplant and Green Curry Chicken. Both were very, very good. Packed with flavor, LOTS of onions in the curry(which I’m partial to) and enough leftovers for us each to have another meal. As others have noted, not fancy at all on the inside. At around 7 on New Year’s Eve there was not a single party seated in the restaurant. There was, however, a line for takeout, so I’m guessing that more opt for the latter. I want to make it back sometime to try my go-to Thai dish– pad see ew.

I was on a quest to find an authentic Thai restaurant here and this is by far, is the most authentic Thai restaurant I’ve found! As good as it gets and DEFINITELYAUTHENTIC. I’ve been to Thai Flavors a couple of times and tried over 4 or 5 dishes but it just didn’t hit the spot. I came here and picked up a togo order of pad thai on my way home from work and it was absolutely delish! A very simple dish — and the key to getting this dish perfect all lies within the sauce they use to flavor the noodles. It was perfect and well balanced with a hint of tang from the lime mixed with fish sauce. I already had a hunch that this place would be authentic by the aroma that filled the car on my way back. And indeed — I was mesmerized as I took the first bite — just like in Thailand! No froo-froo westernized dishes with diluted and bland tastes. Yes — it’s that good that I had to stop eating to write this review, fearing I may forget to tell all you Unilocalers looking for an authentic Thai restaurant out here. Bön apetit and you’re welcome. :)

I’ve been to about 90% of all the Thai Restaurants in RVA and after this visit I think i’ll have two more places to try. Saw some good reviews about this place and I live close by so I decided to check it out. It’s located in a very very small shopping center with nothing that compliments the restaurant. Atmosphere/dining furniture seems a little outdated and could use some sprucing up but it wasn’t a torn down kinda vibe/look. The menu is really funny b/c they refer to anyone who isn’t «Thai» as Westerners and says that we probably can’t handle the True Thai Heat/spicyness level. lol. I got the Beef fried rice. Fried rice was seasoned nicely but even though I ordered it with a mild level of spice I tasted NO spice/heat to the dish at all. Tomatoes and onions could have been cooked a little more as they were still kinda crunchy/hard. Beef on the other hand was a little overcooked and chewy. Service was about average and my rice entrée was 10 bucks which wasn’t bad. Probably one of the better places that serves Thai Ice Tea.

Arrived on a Friday night at six to find a totally empty restaurant. But it was clean with quiet music playing and we were greeted and seated quickly. The menu has a decent selection of curries and thai dishes, but all of them had the beef and pork options crossed out. We inquired and were assured that all meats are available. I ordered the beef prik khing, and my wife got chicken pad pak. Food arrived after 15 minutes, looking and smelling good. The pad pak was very tasty. My dish was nice and spicy as requested, but the lemon grass was much too strong and overpowered the whole dish, which was disappointing. The mango sticky rice for dessert was good, if a little overcooked. Overall not a bad find at reasonable prices, but we’ll probably try some other thai spots first before returning here. P. S. They only accept Visa and MasterCard. I tried to pay with my AmEx and got shut down. P. P. S. They have one small tube TV hanging above the entryway facing into the restaurant. The volume was totally off, and they were running Fox News. Not sure what purpose that TV really served.
