Wash Happening

I read the one negative post about Wash Happening and find it a little odd. My partner and I have been using Wash Happening for the last two and a half years we have lived in the fan. Ross is great. We have never had any major issues like that and anytime we have requested assistance or a refund (only once) he promptly took care of us. Great business and a great owner.

It’s unfortunate that my first Unilocal review is a negative one, but sadly my experience at this establishment was awful. I came in earlier today with the intention of washing two loads of clothes, a hot water wash and a cold. As the machine filled up, I realized the water wasn’t hot and informed the manager. He checked and agreed with me that the washer wasn’t functioning properly. He then left to check his hot water and returned stating that he couldn’t find a problem. What came next truly shocked me, he asked «can you read?» To which I replied ‘yes’ and then accused me of pushing the wrong setting. I simply asked for a refund to which he refused. At this point a customer asked me what happened and I explained. The manager then yelled at me saying he would call the police. I asked why, after all, I had already paid and had resigned to washing my clothes in the cold water. He said he would call the police if I didn’t leave and would tell them I was harassing customers. He told me that he could say what he wanted and the police would believe him because it was his establishment. He then told me to leave. I literally had to take wet clothes out of the wash and carry the extremely heavy bag back to my hotel. This manager had no regard for me as a customer and bullied me after exposing his faulty machines. I cannot in good faith recommend this laundromat to anyone.

I have lived in the fan for many years… I truly believe ‘WASH HAPPENING’ is by far the best place in the area for doing laundry… Machines work well most of the time, the change machine works well most of the time and the location is perfect… And Ross, the owner, is one hellova nice guy to do business with…

This replaced the old coin laundry that was here last year. I called before I went to make sure something had taken the place of the old laundromat and some dude answered with his name. I was confused, but the dude, we’ll call him «Tony,» assured me this place was in business and had all the amenities one would need. Tony said there was dry soap and junk like that in vending machines and a working change machine. Okay.
I get there and the place had all working machines with plenty of room for anyone to get their laundry in. I didn’t know who Tony was, but there was some creepy mustachio monsieur with a bucket carrying on about who might own the sock in his hand. I think he smelled it and stuck it in his pocket (j/​k). I read my book and everyone minded their own business and for once no one asked me for a quarter at a laundromat; great.
The place was cool and clean, and I left with my laundered load for under $ 5.
