Based on other reviews, not much has changed here. One other person here so I should be done quick — if dryers dry. Run down. Looks dirty. Machines working so far. Nice area. Near U of Richmond. Feels safe. It’s your call. UPDATE: dryer 5 doesn’t work UPDATE2: use 1 quarter at a time on dryer. Additional quarters will be lost. Cycle lasts 5:30. 5th quarter and nearly dry.

Update: The owner is a friendly guy but most of the washers and driers in the laundromat are broken. I’ve continued to visit this laundromat because it’s 0.2 miles from my home. I’d still recommend going elsewhere but if you do go: washer 15, 16 and 17 usually work well. Dryers 1, 4, 5 and 9 get hot enough to dry clothes. No guarantees on those but over the past couple month they’ve worked for me.

I left the facility, because of filth and exhausted, corroded machines. In terrible need of a rehab.

I’ve used this laundromat for many years, and it keeps getting worse and worse. There is a disproportionate amount of «out of order» machines to working machines. I selected a triple loader that appeared to be in working order and when I went to retrieve my laundry my feet, and the floor were flooded with soapy water! The dry cleaner that owns this place was closed, and there is no number posted for after hours(6:30PM) calls. Now, I’m stuck running another washing machine to get the soap out and I’m out $ 3.50 plus an hour of my life. This place sucks, find an alternative… any alternative.

It took 3 days and $ 24 to dry-clean 4 ties. The ties are clean, but if it takes that much time and that much money at Westhampton Cleaners, I’ll go elsewhere.

An OK Laundromat. I will return. — Trash was NOT poring out of the cans and the floors were fine(it’s still an old laundromat — what do you expect? Crate and Barrel?) — Lots of out of service signs on machines, had to wait for a dryer, but only about 5 minutes — People inside were friendly and helpful — Light on my washer never went out, some guy there said I had to hit it to make it open, lol — so i let him hit it and it opened lol — Saw some guy eating 711 hotdogs on the folding table lol — I think you’re fine going here, I’ll go here again, nice area, good people

While helping out a friend who is ill, I decided to take all of her laundry to the Westhampton Laundromat as a way of doing a whole bunch at one time and getting it done in a day. I was disappointed to find that a disproportional number of Triple Loader washers were broken as were many of the dryers. This, of course, made it difficult to do the job at hand and I was frustrated to have to wait for others to take laundry and dried clothes out in order for me to move forward. Had the owners kept the equipment working it would not have been an issue. Obviously this slowed things down. The other issue we had with this place is that nobody seems to have felt the need to post how long the dry cycles for the dryers are. So, it was a big guessing game. We figured about 6 minutes a quarter. I would caution anyone doing laundry for themselves here to first count if there are any machines available/working before committing to the place. The floors also need to be mopped nightly, this is a place where clothing can drop out of dryers and washers and nobody wants to have them hit these dirty floors!

Let me first say I’ve been coming to this laundry for almost 10 months. But, I’m done. Totally done. It’s been bad the last few months but I assumed it was just a fluke, but this is officially the filthiest laundry in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Richmond. For a place that is suppose to clean clothes, the environment does everything to make them dirty. I was there about 10 days ago and it was horrible!!! The floor is filthy. The trash can was overflowing and there were dirty q-tips on the floor. Totally gross! The tops of all the washers were also dirty — I was not even comfortable putting my laundry bag on it, let alone put my bag down on the floor. The floor needs to be moped and should be better maintained by management. A lot of dirty and grime was caked on the floor, on top of the washers, and around the folding tables. Check out the photos I added. This place would get no stars if that was an option. Many of the washers were out of order. They appear to overflow often because the floors around them had pools of water. This place needs some serious attention from the owners. For a business that gets good marks as a dry cleaner, they are horrible in the general laundry department.

Friendly service, and they turned my 3 pairs of trousers around in 1 day. $ 19 for 3 pairs, seems about on par. There WAS a wrinkle/crease in one of my pairs, but i can let that slip one time :)
