All Granite & Marble Corp

I would not recommend All Granite and Marble Corp to anyone. My friends recommended them to me because they had such a fantastic experience with them years ago. My recent experience with them was not fantastic. The granite was measured properly and installed, but the surface of the granite has nicks and rough spots — not at all a professional job. They are refusing to make things right. Bottom line is I spent a great deal of money on something for which I am not satisfied. Buyer beware!

If I could give 0 stars I would. The selection of material at the Ridgefield Park location was extensive, they showed up pretty fast and reasonably on time for the template appointment, not for the installation appointment as they didn’t finish until 8PM. The initial estimate we were given was 25−30% less than the final bill so beware. The sales staff is a total crap shoot, the 1^st time there Walter was pretty good, the 2^nd time for the final slab selection Matt was rude and essentially doing us a favor by talking to us. Their business practices and attention to detail totally suck, they demand to be paid in full via certified check BEFORE they will even bring the materials in and/​or enter your premises to install anything. That way when they totally botch up your install and fail to deliver what was promised you are screwed with no recourse but to send an email and beg them to fix it.
For us 2 24×24″ sections were cut in the wrong direction as compared to the rest of the kitchen, even though they were taped and marked correctly on the slab prior to cutting. We also ordered a backsplash as well as counters which came in multiple sections instead of 1 continuous piece and the sections themselves were cut from random pieces so they don’t match each other. This even though again they were taped and marked correctly on the slab as 1 continuous piece prior to cutting. Nor was there any mention of this being an issue prior to our installation.

Difficult to work with. Mislead us about material. We continually asked for countertops that were the most durable and easy to maintain yet they kept pushing us towards whatever was most profitable for them. The installed counters are difficult to clean and permanently stained. If you work with them insist on withholding final payment until you get to see and use the surface for 24 hours.

We had nothing but a great experience with these guys. The stone is all outside and there wasn’t as much marble and quartzite as I’d hope to choose from but we picked a beautiful slab and got a reasonable quote. When we were ready for templating a very nice man showed up and gave me three designs to choose from (as I couldn’t decide so he did all 3 for me so I could get a better visual) installation was quick and easy. Everyone showed up early! After installation we noticed there were weird ghost lines deep within the marble that couldn’t be cleaned (the straps may have marked the stone or since stored outside maybe rain, not sure) but customer service was fantastic and they brought someone over the next day first thing in the a. m to address the issue. And like magic he got rid of the weird lines and a new deep scratch that happened that morning from an appliance. You can’t see anything! Its good to know If anything else happens to the stone it’s fixable and
will do it asap! Btw we paid exactly what was quoted. I thought a bait and switch would happen too especially after you pay the 50% down but nope just as quoted. Very happy overall.

We just finished having our counter installed by Marble dot com, and i have to say I’ve never dealt with a more disorganized, uninformative, unprofessional, rude GC. honestly, i wish i would have just went with home depot, there prices were almost the same. it would have been worth it to avoid the aggravation these clowns caused. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. below is a list of issues we had while trying to deal with this company:
1. We scheduled an appointment for measurement. When the tech arrived he was shocked to see that we did not have the sink disconnected, as he was supposed to be removing the counter tops that day. Of course, no one in the store made any mention that we needed to have this done, nor would we have agreed to have been without counter tops or a sink for over a week. Ridiculous.
2. Once measurements were taken, the showroom staff was supposed to send us an email photo of our stone, no photo was ever sent and i had to leave work in order to confirm our pick.
3. THE INSTALL WAS DONE POORLY LEAVING A LARGE AMOUNT OF LIPPAGE ON THE SEAM OF OUR BACK SPLASH, THIS COULD BE SEEN ACROSS THE ROOM. (I HAVE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF THE JOB THEY DID IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE QUALITY OF THIS PLACES WORK. JUST ASK).
4. once a appointment was made to have the crew return to fix the install job, no one showed up! NO CALL NO SHOW. I even got a confirmation the day before and left work specifically to get home to let them into the house. completely unacceptable.
5. After making ANOTHER appointment, which was SPECIFICALLY SCHEDULED BETWEEN 5pm and 6PM (so i wouldn’t have to take off work to accommodate them again) to have the crew return to fix there mistake, which again i received a confirmation for, the crew showed up at 4pm (of course before i got home from work), If my wife hadn’t been home sick from work, no one would have been there, and we wouldnt have even known they came. Again no call to ask if they can come early, just show up.
6. When i complained to the staff, no one seemed to care one way or the other. It was enraging.
TERRIBLE STAFF, TERRIBLE SERVICE.

This was my 3^rd time using them. It was not a good experience. The selection and templating was fine, but then came the install. 3 men came to the door. No hello, how are you, introductions, just «Give me your check.» I was so taken back by it. I asked could i make sure the installation goes OK before payment and he said no. This was followed by «I need garbage bag.»
Then they got epoxy on my newly finished cabinetry. No apology, no offer of remedy, just wiped it off with my paper towels which also took off the paint. Also one of the pieces of granite was too long, so the guy said he would trim it, but what he meant was he put a whole in my wall and put it in up against the studs. This now has to be patched. The install made a total mess, they claim they can not cut the cooktop before installation, yet they are able to do so with the sink. They also did not have the supplies needed to complete the installation and kept asking me for paper towels (which they took my entire roll with them), cardboard, etc. When the man was drilling the faucet holes, he seemed annoyed that I wanted to confirm that the placement was correct.
The time window was 2 to 5, they showed up 5:30 and were there until 9:00 at night which I was not prepared for. They took a lot of breaks to smoke and chit chat, but I supposed that is needed when lifting heavy granite.
I feel like a fool that I used them and have been recommending them to people. I don’t think the prices are that good to warrant this behavior. They seem to be expanding but if the level of service declines I am not sure growth will be sustainable.

Would I use them again or recommend them to others? Yes, however I’d include some caveats.
Pros: they have a wide selection of granite, some of the onsite personnel are very helpful and professional, the finished product is good and they appear to be less expensive than other vendors on a $‘s per sq ft comparison.
Cons: they over-​promise and under-​deliver…
administration: we had to make a lot of phone calls as they ignored their own schedule for following-​up on stone selection, final balance due, etc. and all these items have to be reconfirmed after you pay a 50% deposit and before they start working on the countertops
timing: we waited much longer than promised (8 days vs. 3 days) for installation
pricing: we paid significantly more than the estimate — the initial quote is based on some default factors that are rarely applicable and not explained until after you’ve started the process (and paid the 50% deposit)
So… not a raving review HOWEVER we are happy with the finished product and the major issues could be resolved if they were more upright and forthcoming during their sales pitches and at the start of the process.

I just had my granite installed and am generally happy with the end product, but had a bad experience from right after the first estimate onwards. The price quote was almost 30% higher than the initial estimate (but had to put down a 50% deposit to get it). Multiple parts of the company don’t talk and left me in the middle trying to reconcile conflicting instructions… A little bit of damage to walls and some measurements weren’t right.

Had no problems here what-​soever.
Stopped by to look at samples and thought maybe I had picked one.
Went back a 2^nd day to look again and decided on another. Went out to look at slabs in minus 10 degree weather and it was WINDY. Looked at one — not the right one — looked at another — still not right — they came out and moved some slabs back and finally found the one.
Took about 45 minutes outside and to be quite honest, I felt bad for being such a PITA in frigid temperatures.
When they came to install they were pleasant, efficient and did a fantastic job.
I thought prices were fair and as a matter of fact, when they went to tally us up, they told us the color we wanted was marked wrong in prices saving us about $ 500.
I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Walk in to their room, you will be impressed. Lots of selections. You get what appears to be a straight forward quote. You make an appointment, they sent a guy for measurement, you pay the deposit. So far so good. But the mess starts from there. There is no way to part ways at this point since you have paid the deposit and you lose part of it. To cut the story short, you would have to make a lot of phone calls, wait much longer than promised for the installation and in the end pay MUCH more than the estimate (of course, they have excuses).
Stay away from these guys. I would have given them 1 star. The 2^nd star is for their showroom.

Do not use this company. the worst. like the rest of the reviews on this site, this company will sell you poor product, overcharge for it and then destroy your purchase during their installation. then they lie, lie, lie. and THEY WILL NOT provide you with the service to remedy their unprofessional, SLOPPY mistakes. they speak to each other in another language right in front of you, the customer, then they speak to you as though you are stupid and don’t see that they are trying to pull the wall over your eyes.
Please do not use them. They should not be in business. This is not the American way. They are liars and they will steal your hard earned money. You will be aggravated and lack the outcome that you hoped for. You will be cheated and lied to. Please do not use them you will regret it.

After appealing an error when they cut our slab, we were denied the remedy we were seeking by an administrative manager for All Granite & Marble.
He wrote: «We reviewed your situation and it has been concluded that there is nothing wrong with the product you have received. Both the tape selection process we use to mark slabs and the actual fabrication process has certain allowance for shifting. This project was definitely cut according to industry standards.»
When we approved the tape on the slab, we made certain (hah) that the large white section would be avoided. The photo was shown to us after the slab was brought to our home. It clearly showed the cutline extending beyond the «approved» tape into the white section that we did not want.
Now we have two sections of an unsightly white color at the edge of our beautiful swirly, golden brown slab.
1. Don’t be certain that the tape marks the area you wish to avoid.
2. If the slab arrives not to your liking, call the office and refuse it saying why.
3. Once you have given them the final check, it is too late to negotiate.

Picking out the slab was a great experience, but after that it was all down hill. When it came to delivery day that told us it would be between 2 and 4. Two o’clock came and went, Four o’clock came and went. After calling them a bunch of times nobody knew where the delivery guys were. We finally got a call telling us they would be there at 7:30. They didn’t arrive till 8pm. They installed it with no problem. After they left we noticed a chip in the countertop, we called the next day and they told us they would come next day to fix it and would call to give us a time. Well next day came no call!!! After calling a million times we finally got in touch with them, they didn’t even have us on a list to come fix it. They finally came another day and fixed the chip. All in all a horrible experience!

Don’t even want to complain about my experience, just don’t do business with this company. From their attitude and behavior they are very customer discriminative. How they are surviving boggles my mind unless they make enough money from the customers whom are gullible. They spend more time convincing me accepting the product «as is» instead of what i pay for and want.
Go there with your wallet lock and keyed. Tell them you don’t want to pay a dime until a project is completed. If they tell you you must pay a deposit that is fine. But when you see your final product you should be loving it 100% percent before you pay any more.
Read their disclosure and policies carefully.

While I must say they were nice to stay over 30 mins past their closing time to help us, and they really do have a huge selection. I started getting that feeling like something’s not right here. Putting myself in the seller’s shoes, I understand sometimes it’s hard to tell who’s here to buy from you, and/​or who’s here to shop around and just use your estimate somewhere else to get a lower price. But that’s business. That’s why if you give your best price and someone beats it, they deserve to go with that person.
After telling us about the free sink, the edge included in the price, the installation process, and how the payments works. I started having doubts. My opinion, their prices are high, which is why they can give you a free sink. Reading the reviews didn’t help either. I kept telling myself, «Why am I here? These people aren’t comfortable to do business with.» Every granite place we went to so far had the same service, like you NEED them. Wrong… I don’t need them, THEY need me. How did they expect to make a sale when there’s a hawk flying around (the owner) staring at us with this look on her face?
After not being able to take it anymore, I said thank you and we left… you can tell the disappointment in their face because they stayed after closing to help us, and I feel bad for doing that. But that’s life. What did they expect to happen? «Oh, thank you for making me feel so uncomfortable… Here, take my money!» You’re looking at us like, hurry up, agree to the price already, and get out! Luckily enough, we hit the jackpot at our next granite place.

JUST DON’T USE THIS LOCATION.
This location has very uninformed employees. It’s so bad you almost can’t fault the people but must fault the management. (Or maybe they are just jerks.)
Not for nothin’ but this is expensive stuff and well I don’t think $ 3500.00 for raw materials let alone installation should be treated with the «oh we don’t do that but let me check… OH yes I guess we do do that…»
AND
«We’ll get the sample to the PA location so you can see it” but when I called to make sure the sample got there it had not. They claimed there were NO samples which was untrue as when I called Ridgefield they did have a sample.
The reason PA had not gotten the sample was Ridgefield wanted me to buy it from Ridgefield not PA.
This is just WRONG and aggravating and I really would be careful as any place this shifty will do anything that is underhanded and disreputable to get a sale and from the other reviews they are even worse if they are the installers.
JUST DON’T USE THIS LOCATION.

Steer clear at all cost. These guys scratched my brand new marble flooring when installing granite counter top. After much conversation, more aptly called «run around», and pictures sent they will still not take responsibility. My red flag should have been them needing a bank check at time of delivery. Not very respectful. My Polish grandmother would be ashamed.

Although they have a pretty good selection of granite and marble, this place has terrible customer service. The first time they came out to template they have me a 2 – 4 window, the guy didn’t show up until 4:50. I repeatedly call between 3 – 4 asking of there whereabouts and they continued to tell me that he would be right there. When they finally came to install, they had cut the wrong pieces for the kitchen! The pieces they delivered were not at all what we had taped off and approved. They offered to fix it but it delayed my project another week. Additionally they came and templated for my bathroom and did not call me back to confirm any details. It took 6 phone calls and 2 emails over the course of 3 days to get these guys to start working on my order. If you make the mistake of using these guys like I did, note that you will have to deal with an enormous amount of incompetency, and if you do not stay on top of your project it will fall to the wayside. Go with someone else. It is not worth the hassle.

. I had a counter top installed in my kitchen that began to chip within one month. They refused to replace it and told me that I must be careful. They would not take any responsibility for their defective stone. It was an expensive mistake to choose this lousy company. Take my advice, go elsewhere!!!

This company has horrible customer service.
I scheduled the template measuring. They told me they would send some one from 11am to 2 pm. The person came to my house at 6:15 PM. He told me he couldnt do the work because I did not hire a plumber to cut the water.
I called the office in Ridgefield Park and asked a sales person why they never told me I needed to hire a plumber before the template measurement. The sales person was rude, very unprofessional. I wasted a whole day at home waiting for them and the work wasnt done. Look for other contractors. This company has horrible customer service.

Excellent selection of granite and marble on site. Very high end quality with competitive pricing to boot. The staff was very courteous and professional, happily showing us through row after row of granite slabs, and fielding our numerous questions without any problems. They also throw in a free kitchen sink if you buy counters with them. Working with them on the phone was a bit more difficult than in person, but still a good experience.
