Memories Bridal by Reem

Here’s a tip for all my fellow brides. Normally, this finding THE dress you are marrying the love of your life in, is of utmost importance and you really look forward to this. Well, if you go to Memories Bridal, you won’t get this beautiful experience you will want to remember, but one you will wish to forget!
During my first appointment, I went with a list of the designer dresses I wanted to try on (which they claimed online they had), only to find out that they only carried ONE out of the list of ten dresses I gave them! okay, fine, so I agreed to try on the similar dresses they had. they were beautiful dresses, but did not live up to the quality of a wedding dress you would expect.
Long story short, after feeling pressured with every dress I tried on, I decided to reschedule and come back if I didn’t find anything or for my bridesmaids and my mother’s dress.
The Friday of that week I was happy to find my dress at Pronovias in NYC, where I had the happiest experience ever.
So I came back to Memories Bridal on Saturday, and told them kindly that I had already found my dress elsewhere but that I was still very interested in finding dresses for all of my bridesmaids and my mom with them. This lady did not keep her cool at all! She was upset, like if I stole money from her or something. She was extremely rude and unprofessional!
First of all, she told me that in that case, she’d have to reschedule because she had other brides waiting for her. EXCUSE ME! I had made time to go all the way to their shop because I had a ONE HOUR appointment reserved with them, WHat do you mean, you have other brides waiting?
Second, she kept going on and on about how I made a mistake by not buying my wedding dress from them, because they could’ve given me a cheaper price. I DON’T CARE! I chose my dress and I’m happy with my decision, why couldn’t she concentrate on making business with my bridesmaids dresses and my mother’s dress?! That would’ve been professional.
Then, she started ignoring us (and was nasty to one of my bridesmaids) because she had a ring bearer appointment scheduled in the same hour I was. Whatever, someone else comes to take care of us. A much nicer lady, but still, going on about my mistake in getting my wedding dress somewhere else.
At the end of my appointment, the owner of the store, Reem, was stuck in a little room at the end of the store, offended and didn’t even want to look at us (because I didn’t buy my wedding dress with her, while I was still bringing her my bridesmaids and Mother’s business), we were being pressured to buy our bridesmaids dresses URGENTLY during the same week, because or else I wouldn’t be able to get them (LIES!)
and also, I was being pressured to cancel my wedding dress order with Pronovias, and order it with Memories Bridal for only $ 300 less. Do you really think I would trade in excellent customer service at Pronovias for the rudest and most unprofessional service I’ve encountered, just to keep $ 300?!
They’ve completely lost our business now. And I will urge all brides I know not to set foot there if they want a beautiful bridal experience.

I bought my wedding gown here 1 week ago. Yes, it’s true, there are no tags on the dress. They would not let me take pictures or tell me the designer even after I paid for it but that did not make me love my dress or the experience any less.
I live in California and made an appointment at this place several months ago so I could go wedding dress shopping with my mom and friend. When I arrived at the shop, everyone was friendly and made us feel welcomed. I was given a paper to fill out and Ana asked me questions about what I wanted and asked me to show her pictures of dresses I liked. We also discussed the venue and my budget.
From then, Ana got to work and picked 8 dresses that fit the style, feel and budget I had described. She included 2 extra that did not fit the style but she thought would look great on me. No one tried to push a more expensive dress on me or make me feel uncomfortable.
I tried all the dresses but my mom, friend and I all fell in love with the first one I tried on. While trying on the dresses, we discussed possible improvements for each, what I liked and did not like. The type of fabric and embellishments. She made it clear that mostly everything about each of the dresses was customizable so if I did not love one detail but loved the rest, we could change it.
At the end, I bought the first dress I tried on. The dress I fell in love with. One week later, I still do not know the designer and I don’t care about that because I love the dress. It was under budget and I felt beautiful in it. Also, alterations are free of charge.

Brides please beware. This store will not tell you the designer or the style number of your bridal gown until you order it. I tried on several dresses and they would not tell me the designer I was trying on. Not only would they not tell me the designer, they have gone so far as to remove the designers’ tags on the dresses and replace them with their own tags, their own identification numbers, and their own prices.
What really rubbed me the wrong way is that the woman who helped me in the dressing room told me it was no problem for her to tell me designers I was trying on. She told me it was «no secret,» she just had to look it up and she would call me the next day with the information. As I was leaving the shop the owner told me something completely different — that they couldn’t tell me the designers because these were their «private» designers. I called the next day for clarification and the owner told me they have this policy to protect their business. They carry some dresses by the designers listed on their website and some are by private designers that only make dresses for them. I asked her how a bride could possibly buy a dress when she has no idea who the designer is and she told me «Does the designer really matter? If you like the dress and it’s in your budget why do you need to know the designer?» Really? A bridal salon owner is telling me the designer of my dress shouldn’t matter to me? I’m supposed to pay over $ 2000 for a dress without a designer? Second of all, if you have a private designer that is only making dresses for your shop then you should be happy to tell me that one of the dresses I like is by that private designer because that would mean I won’t be able to find it anywhere else.
I’m left feeling that this store is up to something shady. Completely removing the designer’s tags from a dress just isn’t right. I have been to many other bridal salons for myself and for my sisters and I have never seen the designer of a dress be kept a secret. I’ve done research online and this is not a common or accepted practice. By hiding the designer/​style number from me I’m left to think one of two things: they must be ripping me off on the price or they’re selling me a knock off/​no name brand. This is an absolutely terrible way to do business and to protect your business. If you’re knowledgable, friendly, and good at what you do then there is no need to play these games.

Avoid going there at all costs. They sold me a fake veil pretending it was real from a designer at full price. Read below if you want to hear my full story.
So I am new to the US & didn’t know anyone who could have guided me to a store so I checked online & came across a few stores. I chose Reem Bridal because she seemed trustworthy & looking back her and her sales crew were quite pushey. So at my first dress fitting, I put in a deposit for a dress I found there which I wasn’t 100% happy with. Walking away that day I kept thinking of another dress that I preferred in another store. When I realized I made a mistake, I called back the Reem & they agreed to switch my dress for the same price. That made me feel really good about the store & trust them.
Months later the dress arrived & it was what I hoped, first fitting went well. The ladies at the store kept making me feel like they had my best interest at heart like a mother who couldn’t be with me. I knew the service wasn’t excellent but that didn’t really bother me — as long as my dress was perfect.
A month later my dress was altered and I went to try it on — then it needed a few more changes, I picked a veil and a head piece & she told me that I HAD to buy one of those big skirts that you wear under the dress to make it big. So I ordered everything & paid everything off in full (I guess big mistake).
I scheduled my last & final fitting 7 weeks before my wedding & when I went to try it all on — the veil hadn’t arrived & neither had my head piece & the skirt you wear under the dress. She said it should have arrived & it would probably arrive that same day — she made me feel really comfortable so I agreed to come back just 10 days before I was scheduled to fly abroad for my wedding to pick everything up.
Let’s get to the piece about my veil. So she had explained to me how she would make my veil & I agreed but then I found a matching veil from the same designer as my dress. I called Reem to ask if I could get that one instead or one similar & she insisted it would be best to get that one from the designer but I would have to pay the difference as this one is more expensive etc. I said no problem. When I went back to pick up my dress plus everything the veil was all crumpled up in a bag and I was like oh this doesn’t look like the veil I ordered. She said yes it is and quoted the designer name. here try it on, see its what you ordered. So I was like oh ok yeah it’s the one. I felt bad for challenging her.
It kept playing on my mind all day so when I got home that day I checked the veil and it looked wrong, I mean the quality, the finish, the material all of it wasn’t up to standard as the designer of my wedding dress. They were meant to be the same designer, the material was so different, it was just so off. Also there was no tag on the veil… the one which talks about the material and the care instructions etc. So I googled online & found a second hand veil for sale (exactly the same but in a different shade) & realized that it should have a tag on it.
So the next morning I called the designer directly to ask if they had sent this particular veil to this store & they confirmed that they hadn’t. I checked if they sent my particular dress to this store — which they had so at least I knew the dress was real — but my veil was fake. I was tricked into buying a fake veil and overpaying for it.
People usually avoid buying things online because they don’t want to be stuck with fake crappy items on their wedding day. Well I would avoid this store for that. 10 days before I’m due to travel for my wedding I’m left in a predicament all because some woman wanted to make a bit more money out of me?
I went back and confronted her and she claimed it was her sales associate and she had nothing to do with it — it’s a small shop, the owner should be in full control of the finances. But let’s be honest, I guess Reem has been in the wedding business for many years, when I challenged her about the veil not being the one I wanted she should have realized the quality was off & then that there wasn’t a tag. But she insisted it was the real one — enough said.
I did get a full refund for that disgusting veil but purely because she wanted me out of her shop away from her two customers trying on dresses.
DO NOT GO THERE!

Reem, is AWESOME!!! I couldn’t have been a beautiful bride with her and team! If you you’re looking for a gown for any special occasion this is your shop! Reem, was a dream to work with. Her store was inviting and well organized. Since I knew exactly what I was looking for my experience was easy breezy. As an owner she was very involved with my purchasing experience. Unlike other store owners who allow their staff to conduct majority of the business. Her kind honesty helps lead you in the right direction. Reem, also assisted in finding a Mother of Bride gown for my Mom. Overall with fair pricing and generosity I would definitely purchase another gown from her!

I searched and searched for the perfect wedding dress and Memories Bridal by Reem made all my dreams come true! She has an amazing selection and I have easily sent 4 of my close friends there within the last year. Not only will she beat any price, she will order any dress you want (even if u find it somewhere else) and tailor it to the perfect fit! She even threw in a beautiful piece of jewelry to complete my look. I found a great belt and headpiece too thanks to the staff there :). I did not feel rushed at any time and I was there a lot. Such a warm and welcoming environment. My mother-​in-​law found a beautiful dress and she took excellent care of all my bridesmaids too! I hope to only deal with Reem moving forward! Best bridal experience ever and I am a seasoned professional.

I went to this bridal store because of the amazing reviews it has. However, as a bride-​to-​be and being the first time I am trying on a wedding dress, my experience here was not it’s best. I felt rushed and I did not get to enjoy this wonderful experience. Dress shopping should be fun and not rushed nor unhappy!
My bridesmaids went with me and as soon as we walked in we did not even get acknowledged. The boutique was not packed where I could understand why I was not being acknowledged. I arrived 15min before the time I had set up my appointment. When I walked over to the front desk I as was appointed to the person that will be working with me. She began to take dresses out and all. She instantly wanted me to start to try on dresses, but two of my girls were still on their way. I told her I was early because my appointment was set up for 3:30pm. Her response was that she had another bride coming in «anytime» so she wanted to make sure she had enough time to work with me. That bothered me because I made an appointment and why would that other appointment overlap mine? Needless to say, I went ahead and began to try on dresses.
When it came to trying on dresses I was not allowed to step out of the fitting room. My bridesmaids had to see me from the fitting room area. I was only given a limited amount of dresses to try on! When one of my bridesmaid asked to see if a veil could be put on to get the full effect, the sales lady said «no, we only do that if she has chosen her wedding dress» It was nothing that I had expected.
After I was done, one of my bridesmaids asked to see one of the dresses that had tried on prior since she had missed the first two. The lady was not happy and said «fine only one». I did not like the way she responded back, since we were all being polite.
In all this whole thing took 23 minutes! I felt that I did not get to enjoy the experience at all. I must say the dresses were beautiful and had the customer service been better I would have bought a dress here. It sadden me that my first time trying on dresses was not the best experience.

I came in here last night in the hopes of ordering a dress for my friend’s wedding. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the ONLY dress I was even going for. I tried on a few other selections but they weren’t THE dress.
The shop itself is nice but they have a very small selection of sample dresses. The owner and her associate were both friendly and helpful but I felt a little pressure to buy right then and there. Why am I going to buy if you don’t have the dress I came for? The only way to get it was to order it.

I didn’t like my experience in this store. I thought Reem was rude and distracted. She barely paid attention to my sister. It might have been because the store was crowded. There was no room to look in a mirror without people walking past. Also, can’t take any pictures (as if people can remember every single dress they try on). On top of it all, she didn’t ask for a budget probably because she was just looking to make a sale and not looking for the right dress. Definitely a waste of our time, I would not recommend it if you are looking for expertise, attention and patience. If you are in the area, go to For My Wedding in Cliffside Park instead, they rock.
