Outstanding! Amazing service and food… thank you Carlos for taking such good care of us – we got the special appetizer(portobello mushroom with gorgonzola on a bed of broccoli rabe); special seafood fettuccine(homemade) in vodka sauce; and veal chop parm which was gigantic(literally ~8×10″) and so tender. Everything was delicious. Complimentary bruschetta, tasting of their tiramisu because we were too full, homemade limoncello… so, so good. Best homestyle Italian we’ve had in NJ! And BYOB!

I went for the first time to this restaurant and while the octopus appetizer was delicious, the entrée was poor. I ordered the seafood with home made fetuccini special. This was a $ 40 dollar dish big enough for two. The fetuccini was overcooked swimming in watery pink sauce. There was so much liquid in the plate that I had to ask the waiter to drain the liquid. The shrimp were chewy and the entire dish bland. The service was good, but it was disappointing that the food didn’t match the service. I would not return again.

My first time here this past weekend. the food was delicious, the staff very hospitable and sincere… were there to clean up pronto when I accidently dropped my wine in hubby’s coffee. They cleaned up, got my hubby another coffee and me more wine(complimentary on the house). as if I hadn’t had enough. Lol. It was a great ambience. I had tilapia which was great. Off the menu Mushroom with brocolli rabe was great. They got us complimentary bruschetta in the beginning. Dessert Tiramisu and Cheesecake was simply yummy. Didn’t take any pictures this time. But I definitely plan on returning

A great cozy restaurant. I made reservation for two on a Friday night. We were seated near the front of the door, so every time it opened my boyfriend felt the wind in the back of his neck. The owner apologized for the seating arrangement. Unfortunately he could not move us because the place was packed. The staff was gracious and accommodating. The food was superb from the appetizers to the main course. I had the homemade linguini with lobster and lump crab meat. Everything tasted so fresh and not laden with salt or sauces. My boyfriend had the portobello mushroom with broccoli Rabe, delicious! The waiter Carlos, made some great suggestions. Be warned this is a BYOB restaurant. We forgot our wine in the car and was too lazy to walk back. The staff provided us with their house wine«on the house». One last thing there are literally 2 parking spots in front of the restaurant, but finding parking isn’t around the area isn’t a problem, maybe a block walking at the most. WEWILLDEFINITELYBERETURNING…

The owner of the restaurant called me to discuss my concerns. He was understanding and we had a good conversation. He explained that with the plate share charge you receive more food. Again, I feel that that should have been explained by the server. The owner stated that he was unaware of the tip% on top of the total bill with tax. He said that he had that corrected. We also discussed the special pricing. My concern was the younger people at the table were being up sold on the specials, unaware of the pricing. The owner understood my concerns with that. All this being said, the owner said if we ever came in, to ask for him to so he could«do the right thing». Although our experience there wasn’t the best, kudos to the owner for taking the time to address my concerns.

What an amazing surprise. It is easy to fall in the average italian restaurant with average pastas and appetizers. However this restaurant took me by surprise. The ingredients are very fresh and some of the pastas are homemade. Everything from the appetizers with seafood to my main pasta with lump crab meat and shrimps with a vodka sauce was outstanding!

Best dinner ever. I’m in love of this place. The food, service, place is excellent. I ordered one of the sea food special. The portion is huge. The quality was awesome. A lot of sea food and super delicious. For dessert I ordered the tiramisu. Mmmm the best. Definitely I’ll come back.

I called to make a reservation for a military family on veterans day today. The host Ceasar and the manager who did not want to give his name told me that they do not give military discounts on veterans day. I thanked him for his time. I did not make the reservation but instead made the reservation at red tomato for the family which does support our military and their families. I cant judge the food but i give the lack of support to the military 1 star.

For a small town restaurant, this place is incredibly noisy. I suspect that it is due to the design flaw of the dining area because even without not so many people in it, this place is unbearably noisy. As to tabling priority, we were not so lucky(a party of two) as for the second time in a row, we were seated right in the middle again. People passing by would rub their ass on your shoulders(big yuck to that but if you enjoy body contact, be their guest). If you want a cozy/romantic dinner, this is not the place. Their food is okay, nothing special or memorable. Unfortunately, I had fish and it was not so impressive – fuzzy, dry, overly sauced. My partner had chicken marsala and pasta with tomato sauce – they were average. For a place with minimum décor and unprofessional serving staffs, their pricing is not justifiable. I truly don’t understand all the positive reviews about this place.

We didn’t make reservations but were seated within 5 minutes. Let me just tell you, the staff were hospitable, sincere and provided excellent service! Appetizers: dozen oysters with shrimp cocktail — incredibly fresh and horse radish was grated fresh! Artichoke — breading was flavorful and creamy but the artichoke was slightly overdone. Fresh mozz, tomatoes and prosciutto de Parma with an aged balsamic — amazingly sweet, creamy and salty. Entrees: Specials — homemade fettuccini with langoustines, lump crab meat, large shrimps, and ½ lobster in a pink sauce was cooked to perfection and tasted creamy and of the sea. Osso bucco with risotto — salty, meaty and the bone marrow was rich. Just wish there were some lightly tossed broccoli rabe to cut the fatty richness. Fettuccine with white clam sauce — fresh clams and not too drenched in butter. It was perfectly seasoned and didn’t miss putting extra grated cheese. Off the menu — chicken with mozzarella and light marinara with risotto with spinach. It was juicy, salty and a creamy and the spinach was an amazing accompaniment. Definitely revisiting this amazing, cozy restaurant.

The best Italian out of NYC! I used to come here often over 10yrs back and recently paid a visit again. Still BYOB and still serves this delicious grilled scampi(the real langoustines, not just prawns like in other fancy Italian restaurants). Pasta was al dente, espresso was creamy and sweet. just about as perfect as before. Thank god I don’t live or work near here anymore otherwise I will be here way too often and gain 50lbs easy. Oh their bread is so good too! If you visit here, make sure you take a look at the Italian market right next door. Heaven for any Italian food lovers. Our nice waiter told me the market is completely separate business entity but obviously they both started by the same owner. I wonder if there is any interesting story behind the separation…

I have been hearing about this place for at least a year now. My friends have raved and raved about the food and service, so I finally decided to make my way over. There were 4 of us and we made a reservation at 6pm for Saturday night. From the outside it looks dated, but that in no way describes the food. We split the beef carpaccio app. That was really tasty! It came with capers and arugula. Then we got the langoustine and octopus appetizer. That was the winner of the night. The meat was so tender, and it had a nice char on it. I ordered from the specials and got the fettuccine in a pink sauce with shrimp and langoustine. It was very yummy, and HUGE! The pasta was defiantly homemade it was very tender and silky. I“m only giving 4 stars, and you should blame my friends if you disagree, because of all the hype. It was delicious and service was great but my expectation level was through the roof when i came here. But i will still be back to try more of the menu out

Let me first start off by saying how impeccable the service was here. So I called about a week in advance to make reservations for my cousin’s bachelorette party. They called me the day of to remind and make sure we were still coming. We arrived a half hour early, but that was no problem since we had our selfie/picture time outside. The place was PACKED. They got our table ready and immediately made sure to cater to our every need. They brought over ice stands for our wines and Marvin(our waiter) came and told us about all the specials and amazing appetizers. We chose the hot family appetizer which consisted of mussels, clams, shrimps, and calamari. ITWASFREAKINGHUGE!!! The portion was jut right for the 7 of us! It tasted amazing as well! The sauces on there were to die for as we kept dipping the bread in it which comes out as a service. The balsamic and oil they bring out for the bread too was delicious as well(I’m drooling right now). We all ordered our food and Larry, the owner came out to greet us. He was so fun and engaging with us and making sure we all had a great night. Marvin comes over to let me(maid of honor) know that they do something special for the bride-to-be. When it was time, they came out and started a song and made a huge deal by announcing to the whole restaurant of our joyous occasion! It was awesome! Although I’m sure it was mortifying for my cousin haha. The special dessert came out and it was hilarious. I will not post the picture in case any other bridal parties come in to make it a surprise for them. Marvin came over with their homemade Lemoncello(sp?) shot and t was a perfect way to end our dinner. Overall, the food was so yummy and I have no complaints whatsoever. The service, I can’t keep talking about because we felt so good after our dinner and made my cousin feel like royalty that night. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area or visiting or even go there just for this restaurant! Larry & Marvin(and all the other great waiters there), thank you sooooo so much for making us feel so welcomed and happy and special. We’ll never ever forget this night, and I can’t wait to go back!

Was craving their pappardelle with ragu sauce so went here for my birthday with friends. Very yummy and the chilean sea bass was also excellent. Almost a perfect evening except we ordered their grilled octopus as an appetizer but instead got a huge«special» of the octopus plus soft shell crab and langoustines at a hefty price of $ 130 just on the appetizer. Yes it was very delicious but we didnt like the fact that the extra was forced upon us without any explanation. Next time i go, will stick with items on the printed menu or if ordering a special? Ask exactly what is included and the price upfront

This place truly deserves the 5 star rating since the moment we walked in were treated like royalty. Trust me and that is not an overstatement. We came here on a Saturday night on a late dinner. We were in the mood for seafood and Italian. We were instantly greeted and seated. They took our beers and opened up a couple and chilled the rest. Yes it is BYOB!!! They started us off with some bread and bruschetta on the house. The waiter came and told us the specials and there were quite a few. We went with two seafood specials. Between me and my girlfriends plate we had a mini ocean lol. I am talking lobster, clams, muscles, shrimp, scallops all mixed with some fresh pasta. The waiter made excellent choices that made our night. What I loved about the servers here was they were in sync helping each other clearing tables, refilling water, getting us our beers, etc. I never had to really wait for anything. We ended the night with some dessert and some cappachinos. They drew some nice artwork on the dessert and the girlfriend loved it. On of the servers also brought let some type of sweet liquor shot for us to try, pretty tasty. Overall, this was a solid Italian establishment and I will be back for the great food and service.

A reservation is simply a must on a Friday night. They were already packed by 7 and by the time we left people were waiting well into the restaurant because there isn’t a proper waiting area. Unfortunately that means when we finished our entrees we weren’t offered coffee or dessert and were simply handed the check. That was an extremely disappointing way to end our meal and experience here. Nonetheless the food is good and the portions are big. Don’t fill up on their bread, though it’s warm and perfect. The beef carpaccio was a huge portion and perfect. We got the house grilled octopus and langoustines which was seriously fresh and delicious(though didn’t realize it was over $ 40). Our server was great in reciting the menus then asked us if we liked spicy things. We said yes and he brought out this sautéed onion, garlic, & hot peppers. Delicious though didn’t realize he charged us for it haha. For entrees we got the fettucini special in a vodka sauce-just say yes. The chicken Marsala was cooked perfectly and the linguine with white clam sauce was great too, though I wish the linguine was slightly more al dente. We also got the Chilean sea bass which didn’t live up to the hype I read from other Unilocal reviews. Again can’t comment on dessert since we were never offered to the menu or option. Will absolutely go back on perhaps a less busy weeknight. The venue is small and loud(like music blaring when it’s someone’s birthday); for example I wouldn’t bring my parents here expecting to have an intimate conversation. Also the tables are small.

Very good Italian food in a casual, BYOB atmosphere. TOMM is a perfect choice for real homestyle Italian food, prepared well, served expertly, and at a price that is reasonable. The bread is great. Crusty and warm. Served with EVOO and little containers of butter. Dump the little containers to add a bit of elegance. Food is expertly prepared and service is solid. Parking is in an adjacent small lot and on neighborhood streets.

Finally, local, quality Italian cuisine at a fair price! I had dinner here for the first time on Monday night. I almost never eat out at Italian restaurants(especially inexpensive places) for fear of mediocre Italian food which seems to be the norm at this price point, but when it comes to Tutto A Modo Mio I left genuinely impressed. This BYOB restaurant is clean, modern and has a very friendly staff, however it was the food I was most impressed with. Like most Italians I grew up with my mother’s cooking and it is very difficult to find what I consider to be satisfactory Italian food based on my homemade-from-scratch, hardwired taste-buds. Everything I ordered here was great from the appetizers to the custom made to desert. The Food Appetizers: We ordered one of the specials, the prosciutto stuffed homemade mozzarella paired with vegetables In a balsamic vinegar reduction. It paired perfectly with our other appetizer from the menu, the Bresaola(dried beef, capers, olive oil, lemon and pepper). Entrées: Based on other Unilocal reviews I chose to order a special, the Chilean Sea Bass: With capers, lemon and white wine over broccoli rabe(I substituted spinach for the broccoli rabe) and it turned out to be nothing short of outstanding. The portion size of the Chilean sea bass was one of the best I have ever seen in my life in a restaurant; a huge slab of Chilean sea bass at this price point is very difficult to come by. The flavor of the broth was excellent, I would not change anything. My girlfriends salmon was also excellent. Dessert: I’ll admit I was fairly buzzed at this point after drinking two bottles of BYOB Chardonnay with my girlfriend, however the owner, Larry(a very friendly, charismatic gentleman, who had just finished eating his own dinner at his resturant — haha) had a bottle of home-made Limoncello and began to pour away after a friendly chat. Although I almost never order dessert I decided to give their bread pudding shot; It was great… I slept well that night =] 5-Stars for genuinely excellent local Italian restaurant with a good price point. I had such a good time I bought a considerable gift certificate for a family member to try this place. I will be back time and time again.
