Bamboo Tropical

Horrible service. I come here atleast once a week. I asked for a small cup of coconut water aside from the smoothie I was ordering and the lady with the glasses told me she wasn’t able to do that for me. I told her I’d pay whatever amount and it was for my 2 year old child. The girl next to her kept apologizing and was a little bit more helpful. The woman with the glasses kept stalling when I kept asking for it after she said she can do it. I loved this place at first but she was completely rude and lacked extreme communication skills. Not returning again!

Overall my experience with Bamboo Tropical is ok. My partner and I both ordered a salad from Bamboo Tropical. He ordered the one that was advertised the Tex-​Mex, roughly 9 dollars standard city price. I created my salad, adding avocado to it it total 9 dollars as well. I noticed when they first put the salad together for my partner, they didn’t mix it hence I ask them to mix it for us. Fine that was ok. Everything went accordingly except when it was time to eat the salad. I noticed my salad was significantly less then his salad. Was it because I ask them to do an extra step (mixing our salads) or it is because I ordered a special made salad? Seriously paying 9 dollars for my salad, I had only 75 percent of the bowl. Normally when I get my salad from Fresh & Co, my salad is mixed and reach all the way to the top. Sometimes. They had to press down to make it all fix. I’m more upset with the price/​portion size of the salad that I brought. Yes the ingredients are fresh but the portion size definitely need to work on. Either lower the price of the salads or give us more because the price does not match the portion size. I expect that from Manhattan, definitely not in Ridgewood.

$ 10 minimum on credit cards and they’re super rude about it. This was my favorite place and they just added this rule. I hate when businesses turn customers away instead of building credit card fees into their price structure.
Hey bamboo! Give a cash discount rather than penalizing people who don’t carry cash.

Mex Cobb salad is amazing. The staff is very friendly as well. I work around the neighborhood and I wished they delivered but According to them there’s only delivery Monday and Tuesday’s, hopefully that changes soon. Great place for healthy food and no crazy prices. New favorite

This is a hidden gem in the heart of Ridgewood. They serve up healthy meals, juices, and smoothies in a fun and vibrant setting. It’s hard to find a good entrée sized salad and Bamboo Tropical has a full menu of salads with the option to create your own. My favorite was the Mexican inspired salad with black beans, corn, and avocado.
I’m also a fan of their fresh juices that incorporate tropical fruits like papaya, guava, and more. I can see this being my go-​to spot after a workout or even on a chilly winter day to get a dose of tropical feel.
In the summer, this is a great place to grab a lunch and sit out on the public triangle to get some rays and people watch. 5 stars!

Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful very inviting. The salads are amazing perfect size so tasty would love to see them add wraps to their menu or some sort of different food

Having been coming to bamboo for over two years and spent a considerable amount of money in that time this place is no longer worthy of anyones money based on my personal experience with the owners daughter, the assistant and my last attempt to speak with the owners wife all of whom have a deep lack of respect for the customer and the community!
I walked into Bamboo on a Thursday evening for a lemon Ginger drink at around 7pm only to find they were in the midst of closing much to my surprise. I said to the daughter «Your closing already, why, it’s not 8:00 yet»? The daughter turns around and say’s «we posted that we’re going to close at 7:00 pm on Facebook and as a matter of fact we’re changing our hours too! Keep in mind all this was said loudly and with a great sense of hostility towards me and in front of other customers! O.K. I said what happens to your customers who don’t use Facebook? Shouldn’t there be some sort of sign in your business or on the front door to advise people that you intend to change your operating hours? Again with an even more exasperated and angry voice she say’s to me «We don’t have to post signs anywhere and were not going to post them in the business!
The angry tone of voice and angry look on her face towards me was both shocking and completely blew me away especially since Im a regular there and spent countless dollars here. Very disturbing to me an I say «hold up I spend good money here and I don’t appreciate you yelling at me as a customer and keep in mind all of this was done in front of other customers»!
So with all that having been said she was willing to make the drink for me but decided to add to the conversation that I’m asking to many questions and that I shouldn’t be asking so many questions! WHAT!!!
I told her to Keep your drink and walked out and will never spend another dime in this establishment ever again! Furthermore any establishment that treats their customers with such a deep lack of common courtesy & respect like that doesn’t deserve to be in business and shouldn’t be part of the community! Never in my life have I experienced such an outright attack as a customer from any business because I simply asked why are you closing early!
Obviously Customer service & satisfaction is no longer a priority here!
Keep your money in your pocket people and spend it someplace else that values & respects their customers both on and off of Facebook!

I should probably update my review since I have gotten dinner here every day the past two weeks since I am on a new health kick. Their juices and smoothies are absolutely delicious — I always get the Detox, and I feel like they put at least 5 lbs of amazing, yummy healthy produce into each drink for a very, very fair price. The salads are delicious, and you can customize them — I usually get the Ridgewood Salad with Grilled Chicken and Green Olives, and the portions are huge and the salads are absolutely delicious. The people are bubbly, sweet and wonderful and always go the extra mile to help. Love, love love this place!

I absolutely love this place! I come here all the time and always start my day with a shot of wheat grass w/​ginger. Their smoothies are super yummy. My favs are the Acai-​Gurana and The Hulk. In addition to salads, they’ve added more things to the menu like the burrito bowl, soup and a sandwich. Everything is super fresh and delicious. The girl who takes the orders is so sweet and helpful. She always helps me out when I’m indecisive. She’s the best!

Five stars :) I get lunch here at least once or twice a week. It’s an excellent place since there is wonderful outdoor seating. The 71^st triangle is right outside with park benches and stuff. The perfect place to bring your dog. The owners and employees are bubbly individuals who really care about your health and well-​being. A serious plus is they have a dog bow filled with water outside just for pups.
I usually get the delicious California Salad, burrito bowl, or some detox drink. Seriously… have you SEEN their burrito bowl? It’s the most tasty un-​guilty pleasure ever.

I’m so confused about this place. I expect for the staff in any place that is supposed to be healthy to know what they are serving people. I couldn’t get a straight answer out of one of the girls on what exactly were the additives in the smoothie (that I was charged practically $ 10 for). Every time I eat a salad I end up feeling weird. Go to the little coffee shop next door.

Love this place! I come here almost every day after I get out of the gym to get my preferred smoothie (Green Monster) and it’s so tasty. The ingredients are fresh, the drinks are made right in front of you and the staff couldn’t be nicer.

The price is right! You can ‘make’ your own salad, ‘make’ your own juice, and this place is just adorable. My juice was delicious and the staff was super friendly. I am just happy this place is around… I recommend it to any health nuts in the Ridgewood area!

Tienen de todo para la gente vegana todo saludable algo que no hay en estos lugares además el local es muy limpio y la gente que trabaja ahí son muy amables si algo sale mal en tu pedido de inmediato te lo arreglan todo hay un remedio.
Tardan un poco, porque todo lo hacen en ese mismo instante, así que me he tenido que esperar un poco pero todo bien se los recomiendo me encanta el lugar.

The lady who was working there is so so nice. The area is quiet and relaxed. The place had many smoothies, juices, and salads to choose from. I got a chia pudding bowl and an açai smoothie and it was delicious. I’ll most definitely be returning.

Great spot with outdoor seating. Feels like Manhattan. Had a chopped salad. was delicious. Also, they have AMAZING guacamole!

Nice place and nice staff, I am happy there is a juice place now in the area. The inside is clean looking and everything is definitely fresh. So fresh that I had to wait for them to cut open and peel the fruits on the spot and then put them in the juicer. This took a bit long but that is okay because I know the ingredients are fresh. Unfortunately the juice I bought from here tastes super watered down and almost half of it is foam. It kind of tastes as if I just mixed water and orange juice together myself and I cannot taste any of the other fruits it is supposed to have in it. I will likely try this place again because the drinks sound great I just really hope I have a better tasting drink next time.
Edit: Came on another occasion and the drink was still bland, watery and foamy :/

I’ve had their salads and reinforcement drinks. Amazing !! Only thing they are missing is chicken !!! I’m not quite full without chicken In my salad. Other than that it’s nice to have something healthy and fresh in the neighborhood :)

The Qrooklynization of Ridgewood continues with this new full service juice bar. It’s right next door to the Lil Coffee Shoppe and has fresh pressed juices, salads and wheat grass. Nice to finally be able to have someone make a juice for me in Ridgewood!
I have to mention, there is also a deli down Myrtle near the Post Office that makes fresh juices too… and has Aqai Bowls!!!
