Ben & Jerry’s

Ben and Jerry’s never fails to please. Got the Chocolate Coconut Bar and the Chunky Monkey to round off an early dinner at nearby Tori Ramen Chicken. They certainly pile those cones high! Staff was helpful and efficient.

I just picked up a birthday cake for my child. The cake was decorated very nicely, however they added a cookie on the bottom without telling me (or asking if we would like it) it didn’t go with the cake. But I guess it’s an ice cream cake so maybe they needed it? I ordered one a few months ago, it didn’t have the cookie bottom.
Also — I ordered cookie dough ice cream — it didn’t have any cookie dough, and barely had «cookie» bits that they charge you extra for.
Definitely not worth the 40 $ I spent for it. But the cake looked very nice, and stayed frozen for the 40 min ride home.

Milkshake review: the milkshake I ordered was the half baked. I’m used to a thick milkshake so I requested the milkshake to be on the thicker side. The service was excellent and they were really nice to me. Unfortunately, the milkshake was way too watery. It was the consistency of watery sand. I can make a banging milkshake and it’s much better than this. Come on guys! I know you can do better than that!

Small place and was packed. They didn’t have the strawberry cheesecake ice cream so I went with cotton candy ice cream on a large waffle cone.

This is my go to stop for dessert in Ridgewood especially when it’s hot out.
I love that they have their own parking lot. Though, it does fill up quickly.
There is a nice outdoor sitting area with lots of kids there always. They even use chalk to write on the floors.
Also, the staff is pretty quick. They are usually high school students it seems that work there. Never had them be overly nice but they do their job, and that’s all that matters.
I love all the different types of ice cream they have too. I last tried the Hazed and Confused, which was out of this world.
I wish the menu board had all the flavors’ descriptions or you get a little piece of paper. Because if you try to read the descriptions on the pieces of papers in the ice cream case, it’s sort of difficult as other customers are often in your way. (Even when you try to politely ask them to shift so you can just read it real quick.)

No. Just no. Why all the good reviews? This place has looked the same since 1992. C’mon, it’s Ridgewood. I know it’s Ben & Jerry’s but they need to remodel badly. There is like 3 chairs, so forget taking your kids and their friends here for some Ice Cream. The staff is all 17 year olds who are texting away. The place isn’t really clean either. I think Ridgewood would be better suited with a Cold Stone Creamery than a Ben & Jerry’s.
I also find this place a little creepy for some reason. Have no clue why, but I do. Maybe some bad spirits are roaming in here looking for Ice Cream? I don’t know but I much rather go elsewhere.
I might start a petition to have it switched to a Cold Stone. Cold Stone has cake batter ice cream people!

Best cake decoration in the area ! I ordered a birthday cake and sent the pic of what we were looking for — it came out so adorable! The store manager Michelle even called me to verify some of the details (they asked what color icing we would prefer for a frozen them cake for the best blending)) the cake was delicious and reasonably priced
Also, they let you know how long it will holdup before melting! They think of it all :-)

Although they ruined her birthday party cake, they reimbursed me and gave me another cake to make up for it. Still doesn’t fix the party but at least they tried.

GREATBen & Jerry’s, nice location, cool seating outside and free parking. In a town where parking is so bad this is a great thing.
The staff is really nice and funny too!

It’s Ben and Jerry’s — need I write more? Great ice cream and frozen yogurt — plus the rainbow sprinkles don’t have chocolate flavored sprinkles in them — yay! I had Greek vanilla fro yo with rainbow sprinkles, partner in crime had strawberry cheesecake ice cream. He loved it!!! Good area to go for a cone walk. End to a great summer night!

always a nice group of people, might not be Van Dyck’s (or even close) but it is still good with good service as well
I wish this place switched with Van Dyck’s in terms of location, I wish so much.
I do prefer it much more over Moo’s though

Came here for dessert last night and boy was it hard to decide what flavor I wanted. Ben & Jerry’s is known for all of their unique flavor combinations and clever names. I ended up getting a small cup of the phish food which is chocolate ice cream with marshmallow swirls, caramel drizzle and dark chocolate fish pieces and I asked for cookie crunch pieces on top. I love Ben & Jerry’s although it does tend to get very crowded in the summer time and the parking is very limited. They do have a nice patio that you can enjoy in the summer, which is a plus.
P. S.- This location offers cakes, pints and ice-​cream bars along with a large assortment of sodas.

Ben and Jerry’s Ice Heaven! Fantastic Flavors and Selections of Ice Cream. Great place for have ice cream outside on thier patio! Friendly Staff and Managers. Place is always busy but its worth the wait!

I have been to this Ben and Jerry’s location many times with my children and everytime I am there I am shocked at how dirty everything looks inside and outside. My family and I went there last night with a friend and her children who were visiting from california. I was embarrased by the filth. The ice cream tastes fine, bt the outdoor tables are messy from left behind spills and the garbage can looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in 20 years! I have never seen the owner at the store.

Awesome to have a Ben & Jerry’s near us!
During the summers, I always see a youth sport teams, or a birthday party going on here. The employees here are young, but surprisingly knowledgeable of the Ben & Jerry’s grass roots history and mission of volunteerism and community activism. The icecream flavors carried here by the pint are more expensive than the Ben & Jerry pints offered in the Stop & Shop across the street, but it’s the destination and atmosphere that justifies the extra costs. If they do not carry a current Ben Jerry’s flavor, you can request it, and they will order it for you. Same happens at most supermarkets, but you will have to order your desired flavor by the sleeve. (Which means ordering 6 pints of the same flavor at a time.)
It’s a fun staple and a boon of life for the Ridgewood community.

Ben & Jerry’s never seems to disappoint. The staff is great and the flavors are excellent. Portions are in line with the pricing.

Wow, I had go to New Jersey to find out that Ben & Jerry’s actually has a store! I’ve only ever seen Ben & Jerry’s ice cream in the supermarket. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many people in line because if people will wait, it has to be good (or hyped to all hell… but, I digress).
Anyway, the store was relatively clean. The bathroom could have used a little attention, but with all the children that are in and out of that place, I’m not surprised that there were paper towels on the floor. Kids can’t get trash in the trash to save their sticky-​fingered little lives.
I shared a chocolate-​chip cookie ice cream sundae with my husband and it was gone within a few minutes. The cookies were hard (meh!) but the ice cream was velvety and delicious.
When I got back home, I found out that there is a Ben & Jerry’s not to far from me. Sorry Baskin Robbins, but I think I may have found a new spot to satisfy my sweet teeth. Yes, teeth. I have more than one sweet tooth. :)

Excellent Design/​Layout With Quick Friendly Service And Great Outdoor Seating
The staff here are well trained as they are always friendly, fast and efficient. This Ben & Jerry’s location is a asset to the community of Ridgewood. Kid friendly this stores management goes out of their way for customers unlike a lot of other businesses that could afford to give back to the people and community who patronize their snobby restaurants.

Ben & Jerry’s is unquestionably a gem in itself. If you have visited the Maggie Moos of Ridgewood recently, you will thank the creator for Ben & Jerry’s of Ridgewood. Not only does Ben & Jerry’s receive an A+ in customer service, food quality, and cleanliness, but they offer a decent-​sized area dedicated to outdoor seating year-​round. What is even more appealing, are the homemade waffle cones made fresh daily. Cartons and other specialties, including merchandise and ice cream bars, are also available to purchase.
I must emphasize that like with the Maggie Moos of Ridgewood, almost all of the associates and managers are of high school and college age. The difference here? You would never in a million years feel as though the counter-​staff are only working for a cheap paycheck. The associates and managers at Ben & Jerry’s of Ridgewood are always eager to help and assist consumers in any way possible, while at the same time not displaying «pushy» behavior. How rare is this in today’s environment?
When I come into Ben & Jerry’s of Ridgewood, I feel at home — versus how I feel like I walked into a hole-​in-​the-​wall eatery like I do at Maggie Moos of Ridgewood — thanks to the establishment’s new team of ghetto associates (e.i. Hasbrouck Heights location). Maybe hiring only those who are willing to work at minimum wage long-​term is not the key for long-​term business success, as Ben & Jerry’s of Ridgewood obviously knows.
In total, Ben & Jerry’s of Ridgewood is all-​around perfect and worth the pricing.

I have yet to find an ice cream spot that can compete with Ben&Jerry’s in Ridgewood. The summer time has the outdoor seating, (and lots of it) along with the occasional live music.
The staff if you are not surprised, is made up of high schoolers and college kids home for the summer, but that doesn’t take away from the service.
They have a selection of pints on one wall, or you can create you’re own with the scoops. Its a little step below Cold Stone when mixing flavors and toppings, but they do their best without a cold block at the end of the bar.
Its expensive, yes, but not only is it ice cream, but its Richwood… I mean Ridgewood.
