I had an amazing experience at this office! I went in to get my teeth whitened and was very nervous, but the hygienist Cat was absolutely amazing! She put me at ease and was so sweet and kind. I did the Zoom whitening and it was great!!! She did such a good job and explained the entire process thoroughly! I highly recommend anyone wishing to get their teeth whitened to come to Dr. Block’s office and see Cat! I can’t wait to switch my insurance over in order to make this office my primary. They also offer this amazing deal where if you are one of their patients and you recommend a patient. You AND that patient receive $ 50.00 just for them coming in for a check up. I don’t know any other dentist doing that. Go check them out. They do it all here! Cat is the best at what she does!

I had a root canal done here and I am very pleased with the result. Everyone at this office was very friendly and was always accommodating.
I don’t have dental insurance, which made it difficult to find an endodontist that wouldn’t charge me an absurd amount for the job but would still do professional work on my tooth. I found Dr. Block and his group here on Unilocal and when I went for a consultation they offered me a large discount and helped me set up a payment plan through CareCredit (I got the discount because I already had part of the procedure done with my general dentist, but it was a fair discount nonetheless).
The endodontist who did the actual root canal seemed to be very skilled. My case was a little more complicated than the average root canal (with multiple canals in one tooth) and I was told I might have to go see an endodontist with more advanced equipment. They managed to get the job done anyway, and as far as I can tell they did a good job.
Two days after the procedure was when I actually started feeling pain, and it was the worst tooth pain I’ve ever felt — not you’re typical toothache. I called up Dr. Block’s office to let them know what was going on and they managed to get me into their office immediately (and this was on a Saturday). I arrived at the office and Dr. Block himself gave me a lidocaine injection to numb the pain and a prescription for antibiotics which took care of the issue in no time.
Since then I had two visits for the post and the crown. I wish I could remember the dentist that I saw for those visits because she was unbelievably nice and friendly. She was always making sure I was comfortable, kept me informed as to what was happening at all times, and always had a smile on her face. Same goes for her assistant.
Anyway, the crown was a great fit, and as of now I haven’t had any complications or issues with that tooth. Thank you everyone at Dr. Block’s office for making this decision worthwhile.

Extremely helpful staff! My 4-​year-​old niece had to get two teeth pulled and I was looking for a pediatric dentist that would take her. It was an emergency and they were able to accommodate her to their schedule. I got a free consult and the dentist himself was very nice. Thank you Sandy for your help!

After 2 visits I can say that this is the best dentist I ever had. I was looking for long time for a good dentist that would do the dental implant in a reasonable price. My previous dentist was always finding reasons to get done expensive procedures, even though other dentist did not see the necessity for it.
Implant itself and bone graft was put by Dr. Iyman who was very professional and he did a great job. Only time when I felt pain was during injection of anesthesia. After that no pain at all even he was drilling whole in my jawbone for the implant.
Also Dr. Iyman explained everything including any possible complication, how to further take care of it, showed me how the implant and the extra bone looks like and even made pictures of it in my mouth to show me. However, I always have a lot of questions so it could be a bit aggravating.
Dr. Block was also also very professional and kind. I feel like both of them: Dr. Iyman and Dr. Block care about their patients. He made impressions and very good looking temp crown. Previously I had a bridge which looked kind of pathetic, because one fake tooth was very wide and other very narrow, which made my smile look kind of weird. Now I feel like my smile looks natural. Thank you Dr. Block!
Assistants and office manager were also very friendly and professional.
What’s even better, the day after surgery I received a phone call from them just to check how I am feeling. Unbelievable, no other dentist did call me just to see how I am doing after minor surgery.

I cant say enough good things about this office. Everyone that works here is extremely nice and make me feel very at ease since I get very anxious every time I go to the dentist.
I have been seeing Dr. Allen Block for about 10 years and he is really nice, patient and caring since he knows how much I dislike coming to the dentist.
As much as I hate coming to the dentist Dr. Allen makes it easier.

Very bad experience with Dr Block. He really unprofessional with a nasty attitude. I went in December to office and he found what he call a cavity which wasn’t hurting or or bothering me at all before. Dr Block gave me a filling, After the filling I’m having pain and can’t drink hot or cold drinks. Now he says he need to remove my filling that he placed a month or so ago for maybe another filling or a root canal. I never had a problem with this tooth. When I question Dr Block his Response was he’s the dentist. Yeah what a professional response. I won’t be going back.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Dennis Block for about 6 years now and he is by far the BEST dentist I have EVER had! Dr. Block is extremely considerate, honest, and will never recommend any treatment that you don’t need. I HIGHLY recommend him. His top priority is always the patient’s comfort.

As a new patient with an emergency, Dr. Block’s office squeezed me in on a Saturday afternoon. He and his staff are friendly and professional, and the facilities are clean and up to date. He listens to his patients’ concerns and addresses them appropriately.
I had a tooth extraction performed there recently which went as smooth as could be expected with minimal discomfort. Having had a relatively major dental procedure performed already and seeing how professionally it was handled, I have no reservations in giving Dr. Block and his staff five stars.

My husband and I have been patients at this practice for over 4 years now. We found them through our insurance company search engine (so glad we tried them out). Our dentist is Dr. Alan Block (brother of Dr. Dennis Block). He is wonderful. Always very accommodating and comforting with great sense of humor. Even when I kept having troubles with my crown I had as many appointments as necessary without any extra charge. The office staff is very great and nice (big thing for NYC when so many people are harsh and rude). I was also very pleased to notice that they do whatever they can not to incur extra cost on me.
BOTTOM LINE: I had a great experience — and I highly recommend this practice.
