Place was great. Showed up I had a car ahead of me and they still got me out of there in less than a half an hour. Great service. and the price was great as well. Definitely taking all my cars here when they need a smog.

I came in on a Monday afternoon around 3:30, and I couldn’t even finish 1 game of Yahtzee on my phone before I was told everything was good to go. I was the only one there at the time. This was the first time coming here and won’t be my last with there price and service!

So this is my updated review. I have been taking all my cars to Ripon Smog since 2012 and have never been disappointed. Every time I have been there, I have never had to wait very long. I always bring something with me to do, but never end up finishing what I brought because they are so fast. They have excellent prices and clean facilities. I live in Manteca and it’s definitely worth the drive. I highly recommend Ripon Smog for your smog needs. Oh and you can have them process the DMV paperwork and get your tags, but there is a fee. Still a great service when you are crunched for time.

Easiest smog I’ve ever gotten done. Showed up during my lunch break, had my car smogged, DMV fees paid, and my new tags in less than 25 minutes. Prices were spot on, service was quick and painless.

Wow, why couldn’t all my prior smog tests have been so quick and painless?
I got my wife’s car smogged last week. The ENTIRE appointment took less time at Ripon Smog than it has taken me to get just paperwork filled out at prior smog testing facilities. What a joy.
I handed them my keys and smog paperwork, sat down to do some work on my tablet, and then I hear, «You’re all done.» I couldn’t believe it.
Highly recommend them! Clean facility, very friendly owners, and fast, fast, fast.

Since this guy opened his shop, I started taking my vehicles here. One things for certain he does what he can to help you and dosent charge for advice. I highly reccomend Ripon Smog. These guys are great!!!

It was 1:50pm on a Thursday when I received the dreaded vehicle renewal letter from the mail. Since I’m on my last stretch of vacation, I decided to hop in the car and go to Ripon Smog that moment to get’er done.
There was one person ahead of me.
At 2:20 pm, I was pulling back into my garage, with certification complete. Yes, it was that fast.
I used the $ 24.99 coupon that comes in that monthly coupon booklet sent through the mail for a variety of different Modesto area businesses.
Super quick, great price, totally easy.

Your website and your front door say that you are open at 8:30 on Saturdays. Well, not today??? With no additional sign saying why not and a phone that isn’t connected to an answering machine is not a way to provide good customer service. I live in Modesto and made a point of coming here before. No longer.

AWESOME place! So fast and easy. Most affordable too. There are magazines and coloring books for the kids. There is a TV with DVDs set up, although your car will be done before the movie even gets started.

Awesome shop! Went there when the place first opened and the dude is super cool. He will do his best to hook you up. Went there a couple of days ago with a check engine light on and he scanned/​printed the error codes for me. Really nice guy and good prices, 5 stars!

Quick and painless! I had to smog my car this year and since I haven’t had to smog a vehicle in so long, I came to Unilocal for help! Since this place had all 5 stars I chose to go here and very happy that I did! I live in Manteca but well worth the 15 min drive to Ripon. Nick the owner greeted me and was very friendly. he was working on a car so his co-​worker worked on mine, I was in and out in no longer than 15 minutes! Will definitely come back here next time I need to smog check.

Hate the fact that we have to smog here in the Valley but I am very thankful for Ripon Smog. Owner is great, he has great prices and you can get in and out in no time. A great no frills type of place. This isn’t my first time here and I will definitely be coming back with my other cars.
