Horrible, Horrible, Horrible !!! The owner is so rude. From the min I walked in all I heard was her employees complain about how rude the owner is to her employees and to the customers. When I arrived she was yelling and degrading one of her employees. While I was getting my hair cut the lady kept telling me how the owner is a horrible person. So fine I listened to her then on to my mani and pedi and listened once again to how horrible the owner Mary is and how its a horrible place to work… Being there for over 2 hours all I did was listen to horrific stories about Mary and her business. I came in to relax, I left all stressed. The place is out dated, the customer service was horrible. I had a gift card that had literally just expired and all MARY said was no sorry can not be used, you waited to long. Few hundred dollars later I am unhappy and will NEVER go back again !!!

The business owner is One of a Kind. I have had the opportunity of working with her. Not only does she genuinely care about her employee’s, she is very generous, and has their best interest at heart even in a personal emergency! Brunch at The Plaza Hotel in NYC, Broadway Show, and Bonus for the Holidays! Roses & Chocolates on Valentines Day, Weddings and Baby Showers for her employee’s just to mention a few! MM you Rock and are never forgotten!

Always a great experience. The owner, Mary, is extremely accommodating. I’ve been coming here 20 years for massage, facial, manicure & pedicure. I always come out feeling so refreshed. I had the pleasure of getting a hot stone massage by Nataly at Christine Valmy today. I had a very positive experience from being greeted by the owner Mary, to receiving excellent advice on the most appropriate services for my needs, to having one of the best massages I’ve ever had! Nataly was very skilled and although I arrived with a lot of pain in my lower back, the pain was greatly improved after my massage. I was so impressed that I booked a facial appt for next week and I can’t wait to return!

I looked forward to a very relaxing experience instead we were kept waiting which definitely takes away from the experience when I asked how much longer I would have to wait having had a similar experience here before I was rudely spoken to and told they had no idea how much longer I would have to wait Their customer service leaves much to be desired Wow I will not be back here again

this is the most unprofessional salon and I cannot believe it is still in business. I only went there because I liked one manicurist but I will never go back there. yesterday, I was called to remind me of my manicure, I told the woman Anna I was cancelling she said hold on. I was on hold for over five minutes, I hung up. she called me back and when she did it was past the 24 cancellation notice they have (which is outrageous) and charged me for the full manicure. I am debating to small claims court. the owner is rude and unprofessional. I’ve know four former employees that left her because of her practices. Please do not support this salon. I hope they close it.

I can’t understand the bad reviews. This place is amazing very relaxing. I purchased a day at the spa for my daughter who is 11 years old and she absolutely loved it. Mary the owner upon arrival that I could drop her off and they would take care if her and they did. i totally felt at ease leaving her there. I highly recommend Christine Valmy staff is very professional.

Had a bad experience here that was handled terribly by the owner. I treated myself to a hot stone pedicure with a spawish gift certificate that my mother bought me. First of all, the pedicure was good but the hot stone part was a joke and it was $ 75! Go to One on Kinderkamack and get a great pedicure for $ 25 and get hot stones used for longer than the hot stone at Christine Valmy. Apparently they’ve been having problems with spawish and there was an issue with my voucher but these people treated me like a criminal that was trying to defraud them. Even after the issue was resolved, which took an HOUR, no apologies from anyone. And during this hour, I was close to tears! Ironically, they originally inputed the price of the service at $ 25 (which was about what it was worth!) but I corrected them to the tune of $ 50 in their favor. No thank you for my honesty but they had no trouble making me feel like I was being dishonest! Never again. And the spa and bathrooms are shabby. Way better spas in Bergen County with much nicer service!

I went for a massage with a Groupon back in the fall, nothing special… It wasn’t bad, it just didn’t stand out. But I’m trying to book a pedicure for this week and no one answers the phone! I call during business hours and it just rings and rings. No voice mail, no recording, nothing. Guess I’ll be going someplace else.

I wish I could give this place less than 1 star. My husband bought me a gift certificate for a 4-​layer facial and a pedicure. From the phone call to make an appointment to the outdated facility; everything was horrible.
All the people they have doing pedicures are old women that don’t have the strength to massage r scrub your feet. The products they use are all in generic bottles with a hand-​written label outside. Who knows what it’s in there. The carpet was filthy and all the employees were coughing. I went to the bathroom and the trashcan was overflowing.
The facial? OMG! Again, I have NO idea what products were put on my face since they had generic bottles for everything. I have no idea what she did because she never said a word to me. I had to come home and apply an eye cream because nothing was applied to the skin under my eyes.
I told mu husband that NEVER again will he go for a deal email. Stay AWAY from this place.

Hey I’ve been coming here for years now and there is no one better than Natalie who does my massages. This place is clean, greeters are professional, and they will accommodate all your needs. They even sell potpourri, jewelry, and nail polish discounted. I’ve spent several hours here in the past on a Saturday such as body scrubs, massages, and facials. I am convinced, they are truly the best place to visit for massages in northern NJ. Trust me, you will not go wrong by visiting Christine Valmy!

I don’t understand the bad reviews. This was a gift from my husband for v-​day. The staff were friendly and welcoming when i walked in. Mary did an awesome facial. Soothing product after product on my face and the awesome feeling of getting pampered seemed to never end. She has a magical touch with the massage that i guess came with the facial. Carmen did a relaxing and saliva-​dripping massage. I think i fell asleep at one point. Both were very courteous. I will definitely be back and i definitely recommend.

I have been going to CV for years. I love their Spa Facials and I enjoyed a wonderful facial by Lola today. So relaxing and thorough, no less than 8 different products were used. Can’t wait to go back. They were running a special so it was more than half off.

I am only reviewing the one service I have done here. Nancy waxes my eyebrows and I will NEVER go to anyone else in the entire universe. She is the very best.

I purchased the groupon before reading other reviews. Then I was skeptical. Happy to say I had nothing but a great experience. Denise did my massage and was wonderful! She had perfect pressure an I didn’t feel rushed. Then after I was given a complimentary blowout by Nikki while I waited for my husband to be done. She did a beautiful job. Although her and half the hair staff is there only temporary until their new salon J & Co (right on route 4, Paramus) is done in early January. I will definitely be going to see her in the new salon and definitely would go back to Christine Valmay. Money definitely well spent!

I purchase a $ 39 Groupon for a message. I booked my appointment with the owner and specified that I wanted a female massage therapist. When I arrived the only massage therapist there was a male. I spoke with the receptionist who was dense because she asked me the same question over and over. And over and over I told her that I booked the appointment with a female not a male. She then accused me of being rude. I was just frustrated. She told me to call the owner and straighten it out with her. I called the owner twice and never got a call back. So I emailed Groupon for a full refund. Groupon was great and credited my credit card for the full $ 39.00 While I was disappointed in the Salon receptionist, owner and experience, I will continue to purchase Groupons and try new places and new activities/​events.
My advise: there are so many Groupons for facials and massages — pick someplace else to go and have a good experience

Used my voucher from groupon… was so excited but then very disappointed. The massage was shortened by 20 minutes, the therapist had her phone ring loud twice during the massage, and she did not listen to my request that I didn’t want my feet massaged. I guess you get what you pay for. I won’t be returning nor will I recommend…

Groupon. My mistake. Lesson learned. You get what you pay for. The facility is outdated, my massage table creaked with every motion, and the customer service experience, well, there is none. My facialist was not aware that I also had a massage after, I dressed, undressed, moved rooms, waited, just one of the most awkward experiences I have ever had in a salon. Two stars because the facialist and masseuse seemed like nice people, the total experience was not their fault. I left with no acknowledgement or thank you, I had to ask them how I go about tipping. Just really strange.

Very frustrated by the conversation with the owner. I explained to her that I was not satisfied with my facial by someone new to me (not new the the salon). Sadly, I felt I wasn’t heard. It seemed to me that all she said was the estheticians technique is superior and she’s never heard if anyone complain about her before. This is not the best response and while I appreciate she asked for specifics on why I didn’t care for my facial so she can ‘talk’ to the esthetician I am sure she won’t and it will be lost.
I don’t want to be patronized. I’m just looking to give some feedback as I’ve been a loyal customer for over 2 years. Clearly the owner needs to understand how to interact with customers who are giving unsatisfactory feedback.
In actuality, I understand how difficult it is to hear something negative about an employee but perhaps, given my history with the business you’d see that I’ve been coming in faithfully and never had an issue before. There should be merit in that.
Ugh.

Had a great massage here in March. I haven’t had many, but it was the best one I’ve had in my life.
The place was clean, and the staff was friendly.
