Dowling Properties

The company’s business practices border on fraud. I’ve asked for my balance via various methods and Debbie@Dowling refuses to return phone calls, emails, and etc. The whole office refuses to answer questions. A number of residents are having a similar problem. Either the company is hiding inept accounting/​management or the company is committing fraud. Either way associations should stay far away from Dowling Management. Overtime whatever cost benefit the company provides will be erased by owner dissatisfaction and lawsuits. If I could give zero stars I would.

I recently bought a condo that is managed by Dowling. Having previously worked in property management, I don’t understand how these people are in business. They have been consistently rude and continually provide false information on the rare occasion they provide any information at all. I would love to bring this up at a board meeting but Dowling refuses to ever provide me with where and when our board meets! I seriously wonder why we are paying these people. It’s infuriating!

I only submit reviews if an establishment is consistently excellent or consistently awful. Dowling is emphatically the latter. They are consistently impolite, rude, and dismissive, they never act independently to fix and repair the condo, even routine maintenance is ignored, they rarely return calls, failed to give adequate notifications in important matters relating to the condo, and in fact, they often expect the owners to manage the building, such as when they expected me to call a locksmith to change a lock and arrange his visit around my work schedule. They are deplorable and should be avoided.

If you are looking for property manager your reasons are probably because you are looking to simplify your life and increase the efficiency of how things get repaired.
Dowling had a good reputation and did good work… until recently being sold. Now the reputation is the only good part.
They work just as hard, but now they mostly work to avoid work, when you can actually get the person you are looking for on the phone (usually the receptionist tells you they are busy, and/​or never return phone calls) they are great in saying all the right things. Only problem is (in)actions speak louder than words. On many occasions we were told calls have been made, plans are in the works, action is about to happen, only to learn weeks later nothing was being done about the problem, and we had to make all the calls and arrangements ourselves.
With so many good property managers in the area, why saddle yourselves with Dowling?
