We were needing a place for our small dog to stay while we were out of town. Found a local host and it was such a great experience. I suggest make sure the host you choose is right for your pet and it will be a great experience.

We have used Dog Vacay 4 or 5 times already and in all occasions we really had good experience. These are different hosts. The latest experience with Lynnelle from Riverside, Ca was really great as well. She updated us about our dog Jasmine with photos and videos and even shared their own dog’s food with Jasmine because she wouldn’t eat her food. Anyway, overall it was a good experience and would definitely recommend this service to friends who will be looking for dog sitters when they go on vacation

I used DogVacay for the first time this past weekend. My dog Charlie stayed with Wendy P from Riverside. He had such a great time with her I was afraid he wouldn’t want to come home! Wendy has a huge, open backyard that Charlie could run around and play in. Wendy was great in sending me updates with pictures throughout Charlie’s stay so I wouldn’t have to worry about how my baby was doing. I don’t know anything about the other people on DogVacay but I highly recommend Wendy P from Riverside if you live in that area!

I hadn’t used Petvacay in two years. I never had a bad experience with them. My most recent host was as amazing as could be. They most have been loving on my pup more than I do because he was whining when he had to leave them. Shady S and his wife are so nice and caring. My pup is spoiled rotten but lovable as can be and they had to have spoiled him even more. Dogvacay is a great and reliable resource.

So, after the first host canceled on us, we finally booked with a host who at least didn’t cancel. however, the gal did not follow the feeding instructions, could not figure out a way to make my 2 little dogs sleep well at night, sent constant complaints beginning within the first 24 hours, and my dogs had to be picked up by my 80 year old parents. my dogs also came to my parents with fleas. They were stressed out, but my folks figured out that by placing their dog bed in their room, on the floor, the dogs went right to sleep and slept all night. They adjusted well and my parents thoroughly enjoyed them, so I will just use them from now on. Very disappointed. I know there are probably very caring hosts, but I just can’t see taking that kind of risk again.
If you are a host, please be one because you love dogs, and not just for the money. Our fur babies are just as important to us as any other family member

. The Lazy Dog Ranch is «pawssome» for your socialized active dog. Very reasonable rates and caring pet lovers, this is better than home for my two 4-​legged kids.
Also the company provides insurance in case anything was to happen while you are away.
The corporate office has had wonderful customer service when I needed a refund, or a billing issue.

I have used dogvacay services on many occasions for my shih tzu/​maltese who suffers from seperation anxiety. It is a great service, very easy to use and their sitters get back to your requests promptly. Marcella from Palm Desert was amazing with our dog. She showered her with love and affection and made her very happy during the time we were away from home. Marcella’s prices are fair and I certainly would use her on any occasion that I will have to be away from home. She is trustworthy and just a very special lady.

This was our first time using DogVacay and we are SO glad we did!!! Our host, Traci, was amazing! Prices are very affordable plus we got pictures and updates the whole time. I received a fast and pleasant response to my initial inquiry, and was invited over that night to see if our dog would be comfortable in their home. They took great care of my dog, even coming to pick her up when I was running late. Thank you for having a great service, we will be back.

Dogvacay has been one of my best discoveries. It was referred to me by a friend of mine… I won’t lie I was skeptical at first but that changed really fast. I’ve been back and forth between California and Texas for the last year. I now have the opportunity to take my best friend with me wherever I go in my travels. I’ve had the best experience with them out of many different boarding companies. Hands down the Best!

is a great platform to use to board your dog. I recently used it for my Siberian husky and found the boarders to be a pleasant dog-​friendly couple. I was especially please to find a location with lots of enclosed space for him to run around (a must for huskies).
I’ll use this service again when out of town.

I have 3 schnauzers at home (Ebel, Ginger, and Toby) who are basically integral members of my family. The only tough part is that they hate being taken outside of our house or separated from their pack (they’re barkers), which makes vacations almost impossible for my family unless we can take them with us. I had always thought that taking them to the vet/​Petsmart for boarding was our only affordable option, but Dogvacay was a complete game changer! We found some great dog sitters in the Rancho area, and found that Ebel, Ginger and Toby all feel pretty comfortable with having her stay in our home when we’re away. It’s a win-​win because my dogs feel comfortable, but my parents don’t need to stress out because she sends us daily photo updates on how they’re doing! I’m hoping that if they get more comfortable in the future, they can start boarding in her home, or even another Dogvacay host’s home if she’s not available. Such a lifesaver. Thanks again

helped me out in a huge way. We were going to be out of town for a few weeks and had no idea what we were going to do with our cat. We really only needed someone to stop by once a day or so to check in because, well, she’s a cat. A friend of ours told us about DogVacay and that some DogVacay sitters will also watch cats. We were quickly able to find a nearby sitter who could do check-​ups! Who would have thought that «Dog“Vacay would save the day for us and our cat?

I have used dogvacay for my own dogs and I am a host. The one thing I liked the most is the pet insurance that comes with dogvacay. You don’t find that anywhere else with in-​home dog sitters. I like that all my guest dogs are fully covered and if I send out one of my dogs to another host, they get full coverage too. I am very happy with the service and its a great company to be listed with. I watch small to medium dogs in the Corona area.

What a great concept. My sweet pups have had a bad experience at our last location. One which we used for a few years, but we discovered this company and instantly fell in love.
You have the option of choosing the dog sitter of your choice, going to their residence and interviewing/​meeting them, seeing their home and getting a feel for them before your doggies actually stay. Loved the people we met, they came highly referred and they were so easy to speak with and be around. My little pup Penny is skittish around me, the fact that she jumped right out of my truck and introduced herself was huge to me. If she was not comfortable, it would not have happened. A gem I have been blessed to find. With how often we travel, it is great piece of mind knowing they will be loved and treated well, like they are at home.
The owners we met actually let the dogs (any or all) sleep on their beds and couches and have a treadmill for walking your dog should you request that and they are unable to leave the other doggies unattended.
