L.E. Fence

I was having trouble with the next door neighbors dog coming over to my side of a chain link fence. I have dogs myself and I was afraid he would be mauled by my dogs. I called Ed and he was able to make it to my home that week. He was able to reinforce the fence. Then, made a trench and put additional buried fence so that if the dog tried to dig under he would not be able to. No other contractor took the time to find an affordable option other than changing the whole fence (expensive) so the dogs would no longer see each other. Ed and his workers were on time and very professional. And overall less expensive than the other people I called.

I called several fence contractors, but Ed is the only one that called me back the same day, Saturday. We scheduled a walk through on Sunday. Ed quoted a fair price for two wrought iron gates, so we went with him. when he came to measure for the specs, he did not have a tape measure, and had to use mine. I believe that someone else at the shop fabricates the gates. On install day, Ed informed me that he did not account for the cost of powder coating, and requested an additional $ 250… on top of the signed contract price. (Last minute price gouge, or pricing oversight?) Either way, we choose l.e. fence based on the price bid, so the extra $ 250 was not going to happen. During install I discovered a broken ornamental finial the ed blamed on transportation. Ed was the one transporting, and the finial was sticking up, so don’t know how it could have broken. He re-​welded it, but didn’t clean up the weld, just sprayed over with spray paint. Then he filled in two of the four post holes with concrete, and filled the other two with dirt– so I had a concert pad (that was formed for post holes) with an iron post surrounded by dirt… I over heard ed telling his worker that he didn’t want to have to go to all the way (15 min away) to homedepot to get another bag. After I addressed it with Ed, he asked «oh you wanted all of the holes filed? » He agreed to come back the next day and fill the concrete. I told him that I would just fill it myself (cost me two whole dollars for the bag of concrete) and we settled the contract. Now the two dollar out of my pocket to pour my own post holes was not a deal breaker, but a contractor that doesn’t complete a job 100 percent prohibits me from using them again or referring their services. Not to mention the question if they will make up $ 250 oversight on the next job…

L. E. Fence was great. I called Ed for a quote and he not only came out the very same day, but his quote beat the competition’s by several hundred dollars. The work was started soon after, and completed even earlier than promised. His guys are polite and funny. I never minded having them around and they loved my dogs. The work is top notch, better than I ever expected my yard to look. Ed is professional, knowledgeable, and great at what he does. I would definitely hire L. E. Fence again.

LE Fence and Wrought Iron has done several jobs for me. A couple of these jobs have been at rental properties that I own and the others have been at my home.
Ed and his workers have consistently done a great job. Their workmanship has been excellent. They have left the place neat when they went home
for the day and when they finished the work. The shape of the fence for the drying space at my home needed to be figured out. Ed drew his suggestion out on paper and it was a fine solution.
Another thing that impressed me was that the tenants enjoyed having them around and the other firm working on one of the projects respected Ed. I definitely will use LE Fence and Wrought Iron again
