Richardson RV Centers

Same feedback as some of the other folks. Parts department is great. Everything else Service, Sales, etc. is very subpar in comparison to the average RV dealership. Technicians appear to have a hard time paying attention to detail and understanding that the RVs they work on are people’s prize possessions and not another «piece of $hit» (actually overheard the tech call my new trailer this). Sales team lacks integrity and reminds me of the typical used car salesman style of negotiations. I won’t go back to buy another RV from them that’s for sure.

My husband and I purchased a used camper a few weeks ago from their Riverside dealership. When we looked at the camper we noticed a few repairs that needed to be done. Our salesman assure us that all repairs would be done and the camper would be clean at the time of pick up.
A week later we picked up the camper and none of the repairs were done and the camper still needed to be cleaned. We ended up taking the camper home as is (since no refunds are given) and did the repairs/​cleaning ourselves. We were very disappointed with the service. We even voiced our disappointment to management and have not heard back from them. All I can say is, please be careful when buying used RV’s from Richardson’s RV Centers.

Don’t knock it before you try it!
Great company, extensive line of parts in store and catalog orders also available. All the employees are very helpful. Service department does get pretty busy so sometimes we do have to wait but it’s worth the wait for proper repairs.

Wow, where to start.
Well lets start with the good.
I needed a part for my rv. I called aound and found these guys. They were quick, priced well and nice on the phone.
Now the bad.
They are terrible at the following.
Answering their phone
Having accurate information on their website
Having employees who know anything about their dealership.
Listening to voicemail
So traffic today was horrendous. Took a number of hours to go a short distance, totally not the dealerships fault. However when I tried to call before 5pm to see when they close they didn’t answer. To add insult to injury their mailbox is full, and their greeting contains no information about the hours of operation or really anything. OK so I call the sales office, they have literally no clue when their service department closes, and they are on another site so they just transfer me to the same number I called earlier. Well foolishly I muddle on, now apparently their website says service is open till 6pm. There is a glimmer of hope. I arrive at roughly 530 pm to find what looks like a scene from the walking dead. Dilapidated and rotten rv’s and cars. Flat tires and the works the place looks all but abandoned. Come to find out they actually close at 5pm. Great.
Now the ugly
DO NOT EVER leave your rv here. I saw a number of rv’s with doors to their basement wide open and a couple that looked like their front doors were left open and the only thing protecting them from the general public was a rather short fence. Imagine homeless or rodents or rain dust the elements as a whole having free rain of your home away from home.
Seriously I wouldn’t buy, or entrust my rv to these people for all the tea in China. Looking at how they treat their property showing absolutely no pride of ownership, nor any concern for their customers property shows me what a poor operation this place really is.
Not to put too blunt of a point on this. But this has to be one of the most negligent rv dealerships I’ve ever seen in both business and professionalism.

Needed a brake part for boat trailer. It uses different actuator than RV’s. Jose was extremely helpful in locating the part and getting in the same day !!! I’ve called for weeks trying to find this part all over from the East coast to the West. A big thanks again to Jose got outstanding service.

Long wait for appt. long wait to get issue fixed. Punk ass dope at the front service desk. I’ll pay for warranty work out of pocket than go here. Bad part of town, leave coach at own risk… ugh? I leave my $ 150,000 coach in your work area, someone breaks into it and I’m paying the deductible. Better option, Camping World.

Where do I beggin? Super upset. Don’t really write reviews but I have been dissatisfied with this dealer twice, and once at the menifee location. I took my RV here for an electrical issue (bad generator) and after 3 weeks they told me to go to the menifee location, by the way, they left nasty greasy foot tracks all over my carpet (still in carpet). I took the RV there and after 3 weeks I received my RV and found out that nothing would work unless the generator was on. So I took it back to the riverside location. They found that some wiring was reversed. They wanted to charge me but after explaining the history they didn’t charge me. Today I’m here to pick up RV and after 40 minutes, they came to me and said «sorry, we lost your keys. You can come back after we get a locksmith to open it.» This place is very unprofessional. I’m very upset. And what’s worse, they have a f@&. It attitude.

Ended up purchasing our Jayco 23MBH travel trailer at Richardson RV in 2014. Sales and finance made the process easy for us and matched a loan rate we obtained from another lender. Service personal always greet you and go over all the warranty work. Have not had any issues with warranty repair since purchasing our trailer. Would be great if Richardson RV would put a sales/​service center in Orange County but we can live with the drive to Riverside since they have good service.

I had an excellent experience with Richardson’s Service department. Steven was very helpful and thorough. I had my kitchen counter and my bathroom counter replaced on my Jayco ultra light. The work is amazing. Looks brand new as if it was sent to Indiana and worked in their factory. I am very pleased with their work and would not hesitate to send it for repairs.

Very honest, helpful, the service crew was excellent. Shelly was very knowledgeable and explained everything. In fact I had a wiring problem on my truck and they gave the tools I needed to fix. I’d give them 10 stars but 5 is the highest. They have made my family and I customers for life.

I have had my rv serviced here for 6 years. They always delivered on what they promised, sometimes even delivering more than I expected. For example, today I stopped by to purchase a product that turned out to be out of stock. In stead of having me make a second trip back to Riverside from my home in Redlands, the parts manager offered to have the product shipped to my home. That is outstanding service!!!

We come here for all our Trailer needs. They have never steered us wrong and always give a fair price.

I had a Bigfoot leveling system installed by Richardson’s RV in Riverside. Was told they’d have my Motor Home about a week. Dropped it off on a Saturday and was told to come pick it up and have a tow bar installed on Thursday. Good so far! When I arrived they started on my CRV installing a Blue Ox tow system. While waiting, the installing tech for the leveling system showed me how they worked. I noticed that one of the jacks was not installed plumb. It came down at an angle. I was told by the tech «No big deal, they have a foot that adjusts for the angle». I also thought the clearance was too low. He assured me that it’d be fine. «When I went over a bump the tire going over the bump first would raise the jack. No big deal». I had several hours to kill before my car would be done so I looked online at the installation instructions for Bigfoot Levelers. It clearly stated a minimum clearance of 7″ and the jacks had to be plumb. I measured the clearance and found one jack at 5.5″ and another at 6″. The tech insisted that they couldn’t go any higher. I said I wasn’t taking it unless they could address these issues. When my CRV was ready the front panel was loose because a couple of the retainer clips had broken and they didn’t replace them. They secured it temporarily till I came back for the MH. Came back on Sat. They fixed the CRV and had raised the jacks but not enough and one was still not plumb. I left again! (I live 2 hours away). They got some weld on brackets from Bigfoot and addressed the clearance issue and the other jack was plumb. Yay, until I found that they’d welded the plumb jack to the frame. It has to be bolted on. What a nightmare! Finally got my MH home and found the ground wire for the generator hanging under the coach. While repairing that I noticed that the wiring Richardson RV had done was not in spline, the penetration for the wiring into the coach was not sealed, and the wiring is drooping here and there. I’ll fix it myself. This has been the worst experience with a RV center ever and I’ve been dealing with RV’s for 25 years. On a positive note, the sales guy, Mike and the front man for the service department, Steve, were easy to deal with. They bent over backward trying to make it right. I truly don’t think they know what a lousy job the techs at this place do. Not sealing wiring penetrations and no spline invites problems.
