I contracted Bob for a small project in our backyard. At first we had several things we wanted done, but due to issues created by the previous contractor and budget we kept trimming the project. Bob was flexible and was always willing to work with our requests without making you feel guilty or trying to talk you into doing something outside your budget. Bob was honest and gave us viable options and suggestions, unlike guy from Sun Tech Patios who wanted to rip out $ 20,000 worth of backyard work so that he could «do it right» instead of offering more affordable and viable alternatives. It was clear that Bob, on the other hand, was trying to save us money instead of ripping us off. He even did a small project without charging us a fee. Bob was diligent and was present for every day on the job, unlike other contractors who come to sell you on a project, and then you never see them again because they send their subcontractors and leave the job unsupervised. Bob and his crew were very meticulous, making sure they cleaned up after their work every day. The day of pouring the concrete, he made sure it was done right. Suffice to say that it took Bob and his crew twice as long to pour and set the concrete than the first contractor who poured the larger portion of the existing concrete and did a piss poor job, costing us thousands of dollars and recurrent problems with our gas and electrical lines. We haven’t had any issues so far with the concrete, but Bob assured us, and insisted we contact him immediately should we have any problems. I will definitely use him again and do recommend him 100%.

I have used Robert Berney Construction for several projects around my house over the past few years. Bob installed my concrete patio and pool deck, my patio cover, some pavers in my back yard, a property fence and most recently an extension of my back yard patio. I have been completely satisfied with everything he has done for me and every day I go in my yard I am reminded of what a professional he is and how good he is at what he does.
I just had additional concrete added to my pool deck/​patio by Bob. His concrete work is A+ top notch. When I was first looking to get my pool deck/​patio installed I was nervous about hiring a concrete contractor as I had heard horror stories and seen horrendous work. I met with several different concrete installers who promised high quality work. (Especially the extremely low-​cost installers… UGH! run away from them as fast as you can!). After doing my homework on everyone I hired Bob because his customers spoke highly about him and the photos of his work were fantastic. He stood far above the others based on his reputation and previous work.
I was not disappointed. I got a wonderful looking pool deck/​patio that drained properly… not one low spot or «bird bath» as they are called. The finish was perfect and the edges were smooth and consistent. I did a curved pool deck and the curves were perfect… not wavy or inconsistent. He even took care of sleeves/​futures under the patio for lighting wire and sprinkler lines to the remote planters though I forgot to ask about that. He just did it. He thinks about things you may want in the future and makes sure what he does leaves you access to add those things should you ever want them.
There are a lot of people/​companies out there who say they do professional quality concrete and general construction work but they don’t deliver like Robert Berney Construction. Everything he has done for me is top notch. His prices are reasonable and he is easy to work with. Having work done at your house can be a tedious process but not with Bob. He helps you through it every step of the way and makes the project fun. I have recommended him to friends and family who have used him for patio covers, decks, room additions and even had garages and guest houses built!
