I love going here for my comics, very friendly staff (they are deaf but try their hardest to help us out). They have a great selection and with releases they always have plenty so they don’t run out as quick as other stores. Definitely recommend this comic book store!

I went for batman rebirth issue one, they tried to charge me $ 14.99 like wtf

I’m new to the comic book scene but compared to the other stores I’ve visited, this Sphinx Comics is the best.
Not only did they have all the comics I was looking for, but the entire store was very organized. The owners also tabbed which comics were new releases.
The whole store was like on sale. When I went all the Marvel Hard Covers were 50% off.
They also sell those covers for relatively cheap prices.

Fell in love once I stepped in the shop. I usually would go to some old mans store but he’s just too mean and I don’t know if his store is still standing. So I came here with my buddies the other day and I immediately saw what I was looking for. They are awesome and friendly but with all shops there are untold rules. My advise? Don’t touch anything you don’t know and leave the display comics that are coming out next month alone. Another suggestion would be to read the reviews of the comics (if there are) you are interested in and take it from there. You don’t wanna show up read a couple pages «like it» and buy and not like it after (do some research). Besides comics they have trading cards from magic, Pokemon and others that I didn’t get to take a look at. Very clean shop love how they have it sweet and simple. I plan on seeing them every payday.

Tons of comics, board games and collectibles. The had some items that would be hard to find elsewhere. Very friendly staff. Please be aware that they are hard of hearing, but if you don’t know sign language, you can write down your questions for them. Highly recommend for gamers and comic/​memorabilia collectors of all ages. We will definitely be back!

Early day at work, and I have heard about this spot before, I finally decided to stop and check it out and I must say that there shop is well stocked for the size of the place they currently have. I picked up a couple of comics and ran into one of their employees he asked if I had any questions and was very attentive, as I was checking out he let me know there were a few free comics/​previews that I was welcome to take if I chose to. This is a good place to stop by if your in the area I absolutely recommend it.
By the way some of the employees there are deaf so if u have trouble understanding, they have a white board for communication if needed.

I’ve tried to go to this shop a number of times during their posted business hours, but they never seem to actually be open. If you post your hours then please be open then!

Great looking shop and the staff is very nice. I come here when I need to buy a couple packs of Magic or sleeves because they have a good selection.
This is a perfect place for comic and Magic lovers. They even have a small selection of good board games which is great. One time I went in to buy a board game and one of the people that worked their gave us a discount out of the blue.
That made our day.
This is a wonderful spot. I’d bump it up to 5 stars but their pricing is on the higher side but still fair. It’s a clean shop that has a great staff.

Great place for yugioh cards, and also get store credit for some of my old cards.

My boyfriend and I come here almost once a week, and I love how simple but very well stocked the store is. I do with it had more of a Manga collection, but it’s a comic book store so I get that lol. As for the staff very, very, sweet! Gives me a chance to keep my ASL up to par

My friends and I are starting up our first dungeons and dragons adventure and I have been all over riverside looking for dice. I first stopped into GMI gaming off of limonite, won’t ever step foot in there again. Then I tried Dragon Marsh in downtown riverside and they don’t cater to table top games. So I was weary with how I, a young female who obviously doesn’t look like the table top gaming type, may be treated here. The owner was so cool! Super helpful and not condescending at all. I highly recommend this joint for all of your subculture Comic and gaming needs. They didn’t have the dice I was looking for but they did have a great attitude.

Staff very nice and pretty respectful and pretty good prices. I would like to attend one of their yu gi oh tcg events but sadly I work. :/

Great inventory and friendly staff. My 5 year old daughter loves coming in and browsing the large kid’s section.

I will recommend this comic store to everyone. First time today Tue ²⁄₂₄ I liked the store, lot of things to see and buy. The guy behind the counter did a great customer service.

Really love this shop. All employees are nice, shop is extremely clean and nicely organized. Comics are arranged by publisher on the shelves, and more than that, they have actually labeled and alphabetized each section. Makes it very easy to know right off the bat which way to head. If they don’t have something in stock they will be happy to see if its able to be reordered. Not a lot of backstock, but its not necessarily an issue if you make a pull or just ask them for help. Pull list service is nice, easy to add to, nicely organized. They also have a really nice selection of figures, from basic collectibles to sports to high end products. They also maintain their facebook and respond quickly to messages. Can’t say enough about a business that actually takes care of its social media presence. Glad this place is around, look forward to buying books here for quite some time.

Love this Comic book store!!! My family comes nearly every week to purchase comics! They have a great selection of Merchandise and they are well organized! I also love that the shop is operated by the deaf community.
We always find what we are looking for… And they know when the latest collectibles are coming!

First time at this comic book shop and I was not disappointed. The outside looks awesome and has plenty of parking. The inside is very clean and everything is organized. They have a great selection of comics, board games, magic cards and figures. Only down side is they do not carry many back issues of the comic series. The owner is very nice and helpful. Definitely will be coming back to this place.

This is by far the best and cleanest comic book store in the county at large. They have a great and well-​organized stock of back issues, collectibles, and new releases at reasonable prices. The owner is super friendly, extremely knowledgable, and always happy to help you. (Don’t be afraid that he is deaf – he’s fun to communicate with gesturally.)
Best of all, when you walk in, it authentically smells like comic books!

I started coming here when they opened. After going to other places in riverside that were less than ideal this place was perfect.
