Tropic Touch- Bbq Islands & Palapas

The problem when researching a company that has so few reviews is that most of them are probably bogus — on both sides. For example, one person accused 3 of the negative reviews all working together at a rival BBQ island company. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but if you look at the choice of words used by Naomi P. and Victor C. — it’s obvious that it was either written by the same person or at the very least they know each other. Using that choice of words once is rare — but twice … no way. Then again, the person who made that claim gave the company a perfect review but failed to say one positive thing about the company — only defend them (which leads me to believe he either knows them or works for Tropic Touch). Now that being said, that doesn’t mean the points that were brought up are not true. The same goes for the positive reviews. I would put money on one other particular review being written by an employee there (and know for a fact an employee has posted reviews in the past). Just wanted to get that straight before starting. I will first admit, I have not purchased an island from this company (although I tried to). The comment about being great initially, getting the deposit and putting you on the back burner — absolutely true. Horrible follow through — absolutely true. Prices /​specs changing and timelines getting delayed — absolutely true. Now then, quality of the finished product — no complaints. Everything I have seen from them was built well with nice style and design. As for the equipment they use — well, you get what you pay for. You pay them for a Viking grill, you will get one. You pay them for a no-​name unit from China — you will get that as well. That doesn’t make it bad. I have a no-​name grill that has worked for years without issue.
Summing this up, I would say if you want to go through the process with them — the end result will be quality and something you will be happy with. However, the «process» is not for everyone. You need to have a lot of patience, keep them on a tight leash, specify everything in writing … including the completion date with a clause that if those terms are not met you will get a full refund without exception. Just remember, when agreeing on the terms of the deal, EVERYTHING is negotiable. Don’t take the first price at face value. In my case, they couldn’t live up to the terms so I was forced to go elsewhere. Good luck in your journey! I hope this helps.

My husband and I ordered an island and in the beginning they very funny, friendly, take your business than they put you on a back burner! We paid the deposit on 8÷20÷15 and after multiple text to the sale rep. Still no bbq, no call back from the owner! Oh wait! After stopping by and giving them some pressure on getting our money back here almost 2 months later we will get our island tomorrow. So my advise… be PUSHY!

Very professional and quick. They kept us up to date all the way and sent photos all the time. We had a lot of custom requests and we’re always told no problem. I would recommend them to the pickiest people.

Purchasing my island and palapa with Tropical Touch was the best decision that I made and Lieu of all the others companies, these guys are amazing to deal with and we are very satisfied with the time frame and quality of work that we received, we highly recommend them.
We received pictures as they were advancing fabrication on my island and were able to make any changes in the process.

Went to 4 different bbq manufactures and decided to buy from tropic touch. They had the best price, quality, and knowledgeable sales team. I am very happy with my island and highly recommend them over the suppliers that claim they have the cheapest price. Go with the experts tropic touch

Great service, love my new island. Eddie provided excellent customer service from the first contact all the way through the sale. He was a pleasure to talk to, he truly loves what he does. I highly recommend this place! I even challenged them to complete the bbq in two weeks, Eddie made sure it was done and delivered in 1.5 weeks.

Went into shop to look at islands and found a employee who could not even use a measuring tape. Left my contact info for the owner. Never heard back. Poor customer service.
