Pep Boys Auto Service & Tire

I have always had excellent service at this Pep Boys! Thank you Jon Aquino for installing my door latch so quickly! I recommend this store to my friends.

Tonight I must have hit a nail and it punctured my tire… I was losing air quickly with my daughter in the car. I quickly called this location and explained my situation and was urged to come in immediately. I got there and 15 minutes later I was being handed my key to a repaired tire! When I went to the counter to pay the gentleman behind the counter told me it was on them! I was having the worst night and this kind man turned it all around and got me home safely! I can’t thank him enough and I am happy to say I will be returning this weekend for an oil change and in the future for all repairs on my vehicle! Thanks to the guy who didn’t have to be so kind!

My experience with this location has been good. I have had basic services done to a Ford, such as shocks, struts, tire service, and oil changes. Prices were fair and service done in time promised. I don’t know that I would take a complex problem to «retail» shop. My opinion is you are better off finding a mechanic who specializes or going to the dealer. In any case, I am pleased with Pep Boys so far. Most complaints about this location seem to be wait time related or just general rants. I have not had a problem with wait time and have had no rant worthy experiences. They have a courtesy shuttle, but I wouldn’t expect a ride to the next county. Nobody does that, so why complain about it?

My Elderly Handicapped Mother & Father Went In Today For A Brake Job With A Appointment Took 2&½ Hours Later They Finally Took Their Vehicle In Then Broke A Stud On Wheel ! Told My Parents They Needed To Leave Vehicle Till Tomorrow & They WOULD FIX IT WHEN THEY HAD TIME !!! Didn’t Offer Them A Courtesy Vehicle Or A Ride Home & They Were 30 Miles From Home !! Now If You Ask Me That Isn’t How You Treat Our Elders !! They Were VERY RUDE !! Not A VERY Happy Daughter Right Now ! POOR POOR Service !!

So today my father calls the pep boys to see if they are gonna fix it they told him NO & don’t come back to our store again ! GREAT SERVICE !!

Just found, and fell in love with this location! They have a new Master Technician, and Store Manager what a great team! They where vary helpfull and just didn’t tell me what was wrong with my car, but showed me. So, I felt empowered on what was really wrong with my car. Will tell everyone about them!!! Like I said what a great experience. And will definitely recommend this location.

I verified their appointment availability online and drove 20 minutes in the middle of a storm to get an oil change. When I got there, the service manager told me they were full for the rest of the day. I asked him why their website told me they had multiple appointments available and said the website didn’t matter. I insisted that it was not adequate to treat a customer in such a way, specially considering the conditions under which I drove to the location. He angrily responded that he didn’t give a damn if went and booked 10 appointments online and that he would not service my car, period. He then walked away into the service bay and left me standing at the service counter with my appointment in my hand.
I always thought Pep Boys had a great reputation, and it is the reason why I chose to visit this store so far from home. Unfortunately, my experience was not what I hoped and it will certainly be the last time I visit a Pep Boys location.

I honestly wish I could do LESS than 1 star to write a review. I went in on Saturday 7÷25÷15 at about 4 pm. I asked «how long for an oil change» and was told «It will be tomorrow. I have appointments. Would you like to make one.» I asked the price and was told it «started at 17.99 with an online coupon.» I was then told they had a 1 and 2 pm appointment. I took the 1 pm. The next morning I tried to get the coupon and was told by the website that the coupon would be available AFTER I scheduled an appointment. So, I went through the process to schedule an appointment (as I did this, I found that the 1 pm slot was still available, even though I scheduled it the day prior). I showed up to the facility at about 12:50 pm to sign in and was greeted by Jon (who was sitting at the table by the door on his phone and eating). I told him I had an appointment. He looked up my car and noticed I booked it twice (which I did) online. I explained to him about the coupon and he nodded and acknowledged. He asked if I would be able to leave the car with him for a few hours… I was looking at «at least 2 hours» because they were working on 4 and had 2 waiting ahead of me. I didn’t expect THAT long of a wait with an appointment (I figured 20 – 45 mins… I had my dog with me, I couldn’t walk/​run her around on a leash for 2 hours). I ended up going to my parents house (which was about 5 mins around the corner to drop off my dog), then driving to the Jiffy Lube on Bell Shoals. I was in and out of there in about 45 mins (and they had to order my Air Filter from the auto store across the street). I ended up paying 2 to 3 times the price… but, I was back at my parents house and playing with my dog and spending time with my family AT LEAST an hour before Pep Boys would have been done.

I had previously been here with my daughter’s car and had a good experience. Yesterday I stopped by with my car to get an oil change and was told it would be a couple of hours… but we have appointments available for tomorrow. I elected to take a noon appointment for today. I arrived a few minutes early. Here it is 1:03 and my car is still sitting in the lot… so much for making an appointment. This will be my last visit here. I live nearby and could have easily returned at a later time had I been given the option. Like most people I have a full plate too… sitting in a service waiting room is not a good use of my time.
UPDATE:
Now 2:07 and I’m in my car and the work is completed. I updated the rating from 1 star to 3 stars. For two reasons, 1. The work quality as far as I can tell is good and 2. The manager was acknowledged the long wait and discounted the work by $ 20.

I called for a brake pad quote and they gave me quotes on several types of brake pads, the differences between them, and a pro/​con on each. I saved over $ 100 vs. going to the dealer. None of the other local service centers took the time to explain all these differences to me. I am very satisfied with the work and will be back for more.

I came in with the coupon they mailed me for an oil change and a tire rotation. I should have checked that they actually did the work I paid for before I left, but I didn’t. They were very polite so at least they were nice while they screwed me. When I got home I noticed they did not rotate the tires. I have no idea if they even changed the oil, but will check today. What a waste of TIME and money. If you don’t want to honor a coupon — don’t send them out!
Now I have to go somewhere else and take TIME out of my day to do the work I already paid them for.

Came in for an oil change and tire rotation.
Service was good, since I have over 75,000 miles on my car I made sure I got the HIGH MILEAGE oil.
It is a bit pricey here compare to a Tires Plus or a 10 Minute Oil Change station.
I checked their tires they had in store and it seem a little too expensive for unnamed brand.
However, they seem to do a good business many cars here. I believe they are trust worthy I’m just apprehensive of cost.
