The owner of the restaurant was great– super friendly and hospitable. Our food came out within 10 min and it was fresh and hot, not to mention very affordable! We ordered chicken shawarma, babaganoush, and the lamb chops w/rice platter, all delicious! Would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

We stopped by this place while driving through town, and we were not disappointed! Best hummus and babaganoush I have ever tasted. Everything was amazing. Don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you. This place serves some serious cuisine!

Very delicious food. I have tried many middle eastern places before, and few were good. This place is among the good ones.

This fabulous little gem of a place is in an area popular with immigrants. It’s both an ethnic middle-eastern grocer AND a fast convenient restaurant. The food is so sooooo tasty! We had chicken schwerma. They came with sauce similar to tzatziki. Can you say YUM! Mike the cashier/server was awesome… he gave us some sweet tea and date cookies. The tea had a peppy spin on southern sweet tea and was definitely addictive. The cookies were similar to shortbread with fruit filling. We waited about 5 minutes for the food while we browsed the grocery side. My brother found a yogurt beverage he was looking for… he was thrilled. Everything was extremely reasonable. We are going back this Friday(Thursday is gobble gobble day). Can you say«More Please»?

I really have enjoyed the food here each time I come. I had a nice party at my house and they made the food that we served. Everything was delicious. I recommend them highly and recommend that everyone go there to get the best Palestinian food in town.

What a find! Thanks, Ken, this place is amazing. Chicken schawarma pita wrap and a wonderful fattoush side salad. Less than $ 8! Great groceries to boot! Nora will love this place.

I posted the menu and forgot to review :) My husband and I stopped here after the gym one day just to give it a shot. I know there have been at least 3 other restaurants that tried to make this spot work and failed, but I have a sneaking suspicion that this one will last. We ordered shawarma and we were not disappointed. The food was freshly cooked and the prices are unbeatable. Fantastic service, the staff is very friendly. The grocery section is full of awesome halal product, mostly non perishables but they have a meat section as well. Great variety and reasonable prices. I think the grocery/restaurant combo is a great model.

My husband and I ordered chicken shawarma and falafel sandwiches. They taste exactly like the food they serve in Israel and Jordan. The Turkish coffee with cardamon spice is very authentic too. It is such a treat to have this restaurant in Roanoke.

I went here the other day to get some carry-out for me and my office manager, and the place is pretty cool. They opened up recently in the same building as Paco’s Tacos was on Williamson. It’s very convenient for me, because I work close by and can get there easily. They have off-street parking at their building, which is a big bonus over Cedars downtown where you either have to be lucky to snag a parking spot on the street or go to one of the private or city parking lots and pay a few bucks. I got the Kibbe and Tabbouleh special, and my office manager got Chicken Shawarma. Everything we got was excellent – tasty, fresh, and the prices were very reasonable, too. Next time I go, I’ll probably try their Kufta kebab on rice. There are some vegetarian dishes to be had, if that’s your thing – Labeneh, Foul Mudammas, Hummus(chickpeas), Tabbouleh, and Baba Ghannouj. The woman running the counter is very friendly, and the guys who are working the kitchen and run the place seem pretty nice, too. I had a Lebanese friend who, years ago, turned me on to Kibbe Nayyeh, which is lean, finely ground lamb or beef mixed with bulgur wheat, spices, and onions, served raw with Pita bread. I asked the woman behind the counter whether they would ever serve Kibbe Nayyeh, and that seemed to make her day. She started asking me where I’d heard of it, had I ever eaten it before, did I like it, and so on, and then she told me that she made excellent Kibbe Nayyeh. Even though it’s sort of «fast food» rather than a sit-down meal type establishment, when you order, they cook your order right then like a restaurant should, nothing is pre-cooked and left sitting around under heat lamps or any of that mess. That’s not to say that they don’t have booths to sit at and eat in, they do. That said, Bethlehem is not a china and silverware type place, it’s a no-frills place where you go to get really good Middle Eastern food at a good price. I thought the level of service was good, too. Their grocery has everything from middle eastern spice mixes to hookahs to Halal foods, including meat for sale. About half the building is the restaurant, the other half is grocery. The do have a Facebook page: I’ll definitely be back to try more of their food.
