We’ve used them many times and never had a problem. And we have a somewhat high maintenance dog: medications, special food, etc. The staff seems perfectly competent. I love the surroundings. Pretty, serene, shady. My dog comes home happy and tired from lots of play.

One star for customer service. I can see why there are so many negative reviews now. Definitely NOT impressed. If this is how people are treated, I can only imagine what they do to the animals behind closed doors.

Wish I could give this place zero stars! DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE! Dropped my dog off on a Friday 7⁄18 picked her up on a Sunday 7⁄20 and two days later noticed she was snorting and coughing! I should of known something was up with this place when I had to remind them I brought her vaccine records. They never were going to ask for them until I reminded them. I wish I would of seen these reviews before I brought her here! Now my poor baby is getting over kennel cough. It’s horrifying to think this place is still in business.

We never like to board our sweet dog, but we needed a place for her this past week. She is a 7-​year old large dog, with serious separation anxiety.
Kennel Kare was recommended to us by our vet, so I dropped by to check out the premises. It is a beautiful area, shaded by trees, in a quiet country atmosphere. The kennel is very clean, and roomy. The manager lives on the premises, so there is someone close by at night.
Dogs at Kennel Kare are not housed in wire cages. They have private inside/​outside runs with climate control inside. She had play time and exercise while we were gone, and she got a bath before pick-​up. She was in good shape, and was not hoarse from barking constantly, and had no sore places from trying to get out of a wire cage.
The other dogs that I saw in the kennel were clean, and lively.
The price was reasonable, and the staff members were very courteous.
I would absolutely recommend Kennel Kare.

My dogs are huge, two mastiffs male and femaie a anatolian sheperd and a pitbull mixall rescues and about 600 lbs of dogs, the kennel took care of them tthanksgiving weekend and the price and care was excellent, it is close to home and they put our minds at ease.

I needed a place to bring my two dogs on short notice, the week of memorial day. Kennel Kare was fast to reply to my request and they were able to accommodate my dogs, without any type of deposit.
My dogs were taken care of just fine. They came home without injury, not starving or anything — they were their happy, normal selves.
I am actually using them again right now as we pack up our place to move, to keep the dogs out of the way. The staff that checked the dogs in were very friendly and nice.
The grounds at Kennel Kare are super. Lots of grass and trees in a large, not car/​street busy area. The kennels all looked clean and it didn’t smell bad at all. I noticed a baby pool of water there for the dogs as well, so it’ s pretty evident that they are taking care of the dogs that are staying.

KENNEL KARE KILLED MY DOG!
On 5÷25÷12 at 5:00pm, I took my two English Bulldogs to Kennel Kare for an overnight visit. I repeatedly told the personnel that my dogs COULD NOT be outside in the heat for any length of time. PERIOD. In less than 3 hours after dropping the dogs off, I received a call that my baby — Sugar Bear — was dead. I was informed that he had been put outside for 30 minutes. He died of heatstroke!
My other dog — Molly — could hardly breathe from being dragged across the floor with one of those cheap ‘noose’ leashes.
I cannot express the anger that I feel for the mistreatment of my dogs. There were precise directions not to put them outside, but they did it anyway.
I am stricken with grief; I have lost my best friend.
I have received no apology or acknowledgement that this horrible event even occurred.
Under no circumstances should anyone ever board their dog at Kennel Kare. (Kennel Kare, 2205 PearsonLane, Roanaok, TX, 76 262). My dog would still be alive.
