History

Established in 1939.

J. M. Turner, Sr. started in 1939 as a small residential contractor. After World War II, the company shifted focus by concentrating on commercial and industrial construction. In the 1960’s the company diversified into highway and bridge construction as well as the construction of water and sewage treatment facilities. While continuing to build corporate expertise for these projects, the company has elevated its attention in the last two decades to high quality healthcare, data centers, institutional, commercial and industrial projects.

With our diverse construction background coupled with an extremely bright and innovative staff, we have grown through this process. As part of our growing process J. M Turner & Company formed a strategic alliance with Blueprint Construction Services of Sterling Virginia in 2012 to become Turner Long Construction, Inc. We are proud of our history, lineage and projects completed over our 70 plus years in business.
