History
Established in 2014.
Our facility, located at 819 E. Main Street in Roaring Spring, was the original corporate offices of NPC, Inc. (formerly known as News Printing Co.) from 1954 through the early 1990s. The inspiration to open this new business at this location came from my desire to pay tribute to my parents, H.A. «Barney» and Charlotte Barnhart. My parents came to Roaring Spring in 1954 to fulfill my father’s dream of owning his own newspaper. While the newspaper was Dad’s first passion, as time went by, he and my mother developed an interest in wood, wood art and collecting antiques. This facility became a special place for Charlotte and Barney to display their collection of antiques amongst the interesting wood wall art and furnishings that they created and/or collected. Sixty years later (nearly to the day), the facility has reopened as a gift shop, museum, and party & meeting room. It preserves the integrity of what my parents created, while offering our community a unique treasure.
