Charlotte Furniture and Appliance Inc

As part of my ongoing moving process, one of the hurdles I faced was a distinct lack of couch. I suppose I could have just gotten a big air mattress for my living room (or worse, an extraordinarily uncomfortable futon that harkened back to dorm room days), but I knew it was time to act like an adult and go furniture shopping at an actual furniture store. It had been almost a decade since my last need for new furniture, and this was one of those times that I sorely missed IKEA, but I digress.
I really wanted to furnish my new apartment with locally purchased items, so on a friend’s recommendation I went right to Charlotte’s website to look around. I soon discovered that while the selection is outstanding, every item listed says «call for price». I see what you’re doing there, Charlotte! You just really wanted me to come and see things for myself.
I ended up doing just that on a rainy Sunday afternoon. It was inevitable that I’d end up there at some point because of the building’s history. For those unaware, Charlotte Furniture and Appliance is housed in the former Lake Theatre of yesteryear. I absolutely love old movie theaters and would go to them exclusively if I could (but once again, I digress). I think I spent more time staring at the ceiling and imagining the picture show than I actually spent looking at couches and sitting on them. Here’s the thing: I had all this time to look at the ceiling because not one salesperson approached me until I had made two passes through the couches and flagged someone down to make sure I didn’t miss anything. But once I got my assistance, I ended up with the most perfect couch for me. Good balance, perhaps?
Here’s the number one thing I’d recommend to anyone purchasing furniture or appliances: spring for delivery. You’ll be glad you did. The delivery truck showed up when they said they would and before I knew it the couch was set up in my living room, desperately seeking someone to sit down for awhile. You can arrange an extremely specific delivery window and if you ask nicely, as I did, they will do their best to get to you on time.
I’m so content with my purchase that I feel like singing a little, everybody join in: «Char-​LOT! You’ll save a LOT! Char-​LOT!»

I have been here with my parents as kids and with friend who bought items. So I deceived to come and I am glad I did! Not only are the staff very friendly they aren’t pushy. I’ve been to places where they pressure you to buy something. Not here at all. They work with you! Not only is the sale price awesome but the installation and extended warranty are wonderful prices. I can’t wait to have it installed!

Best prices I’ve ever seen around here. No wonder they’ve been here for 80+ years. I really recommend this store. Their service and suggestions are the best. When you go in they greet you and ask you if you need any help. Then they go straight to your needs.

I have bought things in the past, but stopped when the delivery driver urinated in a gatorade bottle and left it outside with the packing material.
