Awesome cup of coffee and yummy breakfast treats. Much thanks for the expert attention to detail. Good luck with the music tour Trey!

This place can be crowded during peak times and difficult to find a seat, but has a great cup of unique hot drinks that I love. The zebra mocha latte is great, not too over-ly sweet and perfect for a latte, my go-to is the darhma bomb, which is an earl grey tea latte with honey and cinnamon, I’m not usually all about earl grey but this is a delicious drink that again isn’t too sweet. Speaking of sweets my favorites are the nutella strawberry banana crepes and the captain crunch cheesecake. The crêpe is plenty to split with another person if you’re not super hungry, it’s thinly rolled and comes with an abundance of whip. The captain crunch cheesecake is everything my gf never knew she needed. just enough crunchberry flavor within a rich cheesecake, definitely a unique find I would get again.

Great coffee! Open late so that’s great! They have some amazing looking desserts. The staff is friendly. When we were there it was very crowded and very loud so it’s not a place to go to relax or do work. I would recommend!

Dessert Oasis? More like Dessert O-waste-of-my-time. I had been going multiple times a week for the past month, each time becoming more and more frustrating. When I was in there last, my friends and I ordered cheesecake and when the barista rang me up, he turned to his co-worker and asked if he would get the cheesecake for us, to which this frosted-tip punk replied«no.» At first I thought it was a joke, he wasn’t seriously denying us his service, right? But the pseudo-barista coffee«aficionado» really didn’t bring it out to us. He had another co-worker bring it out. When this barista did come over to collect our empty coffee cups, we said thanks, and he just walked away. So, I guess when you work for a small company that emphasizes community in the work place, you have the right to be as rude as you want and treat customers horribly. I mean, who even cares about a companies reputation and wanting people to feel welcomed? Certainly not this certain barista. And he succeeded! I’ll certainly not be coming back, and I’m sure his boss would love to know that because of his employees sorry attitudes, they just lost business. It’s great to know that the workers here feel that they can pick and choose which customers they wait on, and which customers they extended decency and courtesy to. This is a clusterfuck of a business whose aesthetic relies solely on the wannabe’s who work there, serving up over-priced cups of coffee. Specialty coffee isn’t difficult to find anymore and I can go to Starbucks and get a single-origin pour-over for about the same price and more respect. If Dessert Oasis wants to keep growing, they might want to rethink who they hire because the attitude of the barista tonight was completely uncalled for, and I am appalled at his so-called«service.» Way to go, Dessert Oasis. Your coffee is passable at best, but your customer service sucks.

This is a cute coffee shop with a very hipster vibe. I ordered the captain crunch berry cheesecake and a chai tea latte. The cheesecake was delicious and had a very interesting texture. The latte was not my favorite, it was just missing something. My best friend ordered a hot chocolate and it was just a little too strong for us. It had a very overpowering dark chocolate flavor, we both just wished it was a little less bitter. It seems that everything is very high end and the prices reflected this. It did have a cool atmosphere and décor. I’d probably be back.

Love this place! I stop by at least once a week. I think I’ve tried all of their cheesecakes & I love every one of them. The Bailey’s Cheesecake has to be my favorite though. Their drinks are also incredible. My new favorite is the coconut latte. This place can get really crowded, but the staff are all very friendly. The owner has even come outside before to bring my dog a bowl of water while I wait for my coffee. :)

Customer service? What the heck is that? This place sets the bar low and then trips over it when dealing with customers. When you inquire about the meager amount of coffee you receive, you’re liable to get a defensive, nasty reply from some teenage barista with dubious personal hygiene waxing poetic about the amount of ground coffee per pour being«pre-measured.» Oh really? This response is eerily similar to what you hear from assistant managers at corporate restaurants when they screw up your meal. And, at least in my mind, it seems like a poor business practice to speak to your customers like they’re subhuman filth when you’re charging them a 600% mark up on bulk coffee and trying pawn shitty replicas of guns and roses album art for hundreds of dollars. Me? I’d just take two seconds and do the 3rd grade arithmetic, adjust the proportion of coffee and water per pour to the size of the cup and keep my customers happy. Again basically, you are the one charging me a ridiculous sum for a 12 oz cup of coffee so don’t act like my displeasure with your parsimoniousness is out of left field. As for the coffee itself, it’s average and overpriced. They attempt to brag it up with chalkboard brewmaster descriptions next to the register but we all know that’s nothing but cognitive priming – a cheesy, tired marketing tactic aimed at making you feel better about overpaying for coffee. I could blind fold you, hand you a cup of Folgers and tell you there is hints of hibiscus undertones in it and you’d swear by it. Pay no attention to the 50lb dirty burlap sack filled with coffee beans sitting against the wall in the back, amirite? The atmosphere is also a problem. The place is palpably cramped by the amount of furniture being disproportionate to the size of the room. The acoustics are downright terrible. When the shop becomes busy, several different conversations conjoin to create a colossal cacophony and it feels like you’re in an army mess hall. I observed one young patron at a table next to the counter attempting to study. He might as well have been at a Metallica concert. So I don’t know what this place is trying to be or who it’s trying to cater to but really it fails on all levels.

Pretty chill little spot for strong coffee(if you like dunkin’ donuts I don’t think you’ll like their coffee). A little dark for me, but a true coffee house feel. The blueberry muffin I had was truly one of the best I’ve ever had. Whether they make them in house or use a local bakery, bravo.

An hour drive today, after calling ahead(face palm!), only to find out that their«gluten free» labels here really means ONE dessert that is gluten friendly and NOT gluten free. Huge pet peeve!

They make a mean chai latte, try the chocolate dipped baklava, also there are gluten free cheesecakes. Love the place, I go there on my work break. Also, they shot a commercial for ‘pay anywhere’ in this shop a while back.

There’s a lot of people working and studying here on weekdays. The cappuccino I had was delish… I got rose art on it which I was really delighted by. Will definitely drop by again.

In downtown Rochester, it’s a great place to go to meet friends and just hang out. You know what it reminds me of inside? The coffee shop of the tv show«Friends»!! It has couches and comfortable chairs to lounge in. They offer lattes, cappuccinos, and other caffeine related beverages. My favorite is the caramel lattes. Costs about $ 4.00 for a large. They do offer desserts — but I’ve never tried. I enjoy coming here and meeting friends for gossip time ;)

I was debating for a while on how many stars to give this coffee shop. I really adore the design of this place. It is somewhat similar to the coffee shop the show friends used to hang out in. It is a first in this area. The décor, lighting and the tinny stage where people play music and/or sing is fabulous. I wish that there are more of these places around here. Their coffee and cakes are pretty darn good(however a little bit expensive, but totally worth it for the experience). I think there are two owners for this place and you will always find one of them. They are super nice. I also love the idea of giving you a playing card for your order. The only reason this place received 4 stars and not 5 is because the main door need to be fixed. The door does not close fully and the Michigan cold air will rush in, and you will freeze.

Their latte art is gorgeous, there are endless options for latte flavors, and service is excellent. This coffee shop is extremely popular for good reason, so seating can be difficult to find at times and I wouldn’t say this place is the most conducive for studying. But definitely don’t let that stop you from stopping by! Dessert Oasis has a very unique, comforting environment that you just can’t find at coffeeshop chains.

I stopped by at the cute little town of Rochester to check out the Christmas lights for a hot minute. What a lovely and quant place! It was also cold and rainy so coffee was high on the agenda for my friend and I. As we entered the Dessert Oasis Café, it was clear that it was a warm and inviting atmosphere from the warm interiors, the small size, and the live guitarist playing some really good Creadance songs, as some other gems from the 80s and 90s. The service was also very good — the barista kindly explained to me the different kinds of house coffee specials as well as the cappuccinos and lattes. We ordered our beverages and then the cute and friendly waitress brought them over to our table right away. Everyone was so nice! These kinds of places set the standards in my opinion.

OMG. The Captain Crunch Cheesecake and the Oreo Cheesecake If they’ve got it, you gotta get it. I also got the Almond Joy Mocha, which wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything special. The place was so cute and relaxing. There was live music when I went and it was good. Unfortunately, it gets packed real quick and the line was lengthy. But can you blame them? This place was great! Next time I’m in Rochester, I’ll definitely be back :)

I’ve been here before on a busier evening, so busy in fact that we were directed to the small room downstairs for the only available seating… which resides outside an esthetician’s office and I don’t believe is the coffee shop’s at all. If it is, it sure doesn’t feel like it. This afternoon was slower however so we were able to snag seating on a couch upfront. After you place your order, the barista at the cashier will hand you a playing card for the runner to deliver your coffee at your seating– much better than awkwardly standing around, taking up space at the counter. The cheesecakes are here absolutely delicious as are the cappuccinos that I’ve tried.

Cool coffee shop in downtown Rochester. Very cozy and homey, decorated to look like someone’s living room, and I mean that in a good way. Plenty of seating(couches, chairs, etc) and a strong wifi signal helped me get a good deal of work done as I enjoyed my crêpe and coffee but it would have been just as awesome hanging out and chatting with pals or reading a book. Good for working, conversing, relaxing and refueling. WAIT! Did I say crepes and coffee? I DID! Yes, they’ve got them. Good pour over style coffee with beans that are roasted by Dessert themselves. I had an iced vanilla latte and it was fantastic. And crepes! Fruit crepes in any combination you want. I had one filled with banana and strawberry and it was quite tasty. They also have a variety of desserts like cookies, cakes, etc and a few sandwich options as well. Super nice staff and a convenient location right on Main Street makes it easy to stop in and grab a coffee or treat if you’re out and about walking. Parking can be tough if you’re not already on the strip but it’s a worth a stop in if you’re in the area.

Really nice coffee shop — I like the entrance way outside, and then the walk up when you step inside. Dessert Oasis has a great ambiance, but it’s definitely on the small side… it can be kind of hard to find a place to sit. There are a number of drinks to get that seem to vary day-to-day(or at least week-to-week), and there are also quite a few options for food, even though I didn’t try any. My girlfriend and I’s orders got a bit messed up. By messed up I mean, we got a free large pumpkin spice latte for some reason, so it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing … other than the fact that we didn’t drink it. The drinks here are really good and there are some interesting flavors on the menu as well. Neither of us ate anything because we had just gotten The Meeting House, but some of the stuff in the display case looked good — as did the fondue, that the people at the table next to us were having. Four stars mostly because the place is on the small side, and even though it didn’t inconvenience the two of us, they messed up our order — or maybe we got it for free because we were talking about never having one at the register before? Either way, Dessert Oasis is a great coffee shop.
