Elite Event – A Cure for the Elite Yelper

From what I tried, I’ll definitely be back. Cure is located within Rochester Public Market and the space is really cool. A little industrial, some pretty art on the walls. I liked the vibe I was getting.
I had two different cocktails, but do NOT miss the Bleed the Monkey. PHENOMENAL. I wanted to take the pineapple salt home with me, and never wanted the cocktail to end. I had to get a little possessive and restrict who I shared with, because this drink was delicious.
I sampled some pork banh mi on crostini that I thought was really great. Crunchy, tasty and with pickles on top, just the perfect amount of briney-​salt flavoring. I really loved it. Great sausage, pickles and even the bread was really delectable. I’m looking forward to going back and being able to order off the full menu.

i am still bumming about cutting out early from the first roc elite event but the damn job responsibility adult thing really can get in the way of fun. next event, better scheduling by me for sure!

YIPPIE! What a gorgeous location filled with gorgeous folks with gorgeous personalities munching on gorgeous food (rich pâté, pickles galore, succulent sausage, crusty flavorful bread and banh mi bites oh yum) and unique drink (goat hill, rubberneck, faith in medicine, bleed the monkey, cossack in carthusia). It was such a pleasure to attend the first Rochester Unilocal event. Thank you Breanna, Chuck and Dan for making it all possible.

The very first Unilocal Elite Event was a big hit and I’m really happy to say that I was at Cure for it. I had a great time chatting with all of the other Elites and was able to put real life faces to the tiny pictures on the website and get a feel for the people behind the headlines. Breanna was a gracious host and made sure everyone felt welcomed and facilitated some great conversations even with all the people that hadn’t met before.
Cure itself was decked out nicely for the event and the drinks and appetizers were a great accompaniment to the conversation between new friends. Trays with banh mi bites and housemade chicken/​bacon sausage were floating around (both delicious and upgraded versions of classic flavors) and a big rillete station was set up up front with pork and mushroom versions along with some Flour City bread and damn good cornichons and pickled onions. Mmmmmm… meat butter!
As a non-​drinkers, the bartender was very accommodating and made me a mocktail (orange flavored) and flavored their tasty fresh lemonade with some bitters to give a nice twist on their already fine drink. Both the bartender and the servers were very friendly and made us want to make a return trip.
After the big event was over, I left feeling really good about hanging out with my Unilocal friends and about Cure as an establishment. I’ll definitely be back to Cure to eat a whole meal and hope to see everyone at the next event soon!

Very cool place. Intimate and cozy, this place feels like a European café. It was a perfect spot for the Rochester Unilocal get together. Super friendly wait staff and bartender. The rilletes were amazing on that wonderful crusty bread, and the sausage was also very delicious. I had a really nice Belgian, Orval, that I hadn’t tried before. Will definitely come back for a real visit soon.

It was so great to be a part of this event! It was my frist time to Cure and I was super excited to check it out. The drinks were delish and so was the food. I cant wait to go back!
So excited I got to meet some Unilocalers and put a face with the name! My plus one had a great time and she is on her way to Unilocaldom!

50^th rave comment about the banh mi: [insert here] Damn those were good. Also the rillettes, YUM. I will order both of those things when I return. It was nice to have the opportunity to try some things I wouldn’t normally order.

YAY! I had an excellent time last night! The bites were delicious (banh mi bites, WOAH) and the drinks were OUTSTANDING. Bleed the Monkey was probably one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had (no exagg, y’all) — pineapple salt? TELL ME HOW PINEAPPLE SALT HAPPENS.
Anyway, I also loved meeting other Unilocalers.
I have to say it’s really fun to be a part of the first wave of Elite and meeting people. I’ve been to elite events in other cities and this was much more mingle-​y, which is what it’s all about!
Huge thanks to Breanna for putting together such a great event! I can’t wait for the next one!

Awesome event! Breanna did an amazing job and Cure was an awesome venue. Banh Mi bites were amazing and the cocktails were also out of this world (Thea is an outstanding bartender). Super fun to meet local elites. Great event and a total success!

Cure is a warm and cozy space and I can’t wait to visit again. The stars of the evening for me was the fresh squeezed lemonade and the «bleed the monkey» cocktail. The bartender (Thea) was so lovely and helpful.

What a great evening! Thanks to Breanna and the crew at Cure for making this evening’s event a fun experience.
The atmosphere at Cure is fantastic. It has this warm inviting vibe, and you just feel comfortable. The lighting is awesome — dim with lots of candles. I would love to know if this is their standard lighting, because it makes it so relaxing. I would totally bring my husband here for a date.
The food was superb. I had the bahn mi crostini and the mix of flavors was delicious. The meat, pickled vegetable, and spicy mayo were perfect together. I don’t remember the other items I tried — I think the musthroom rillette was not my favorite, but I LOVED the bread everything was served on. The Olive tapendaes however were my FAVORITE, and I would definitely order these on a return trip to Cure.
As for the cocktails — I tried a rearden metal and WOW! It’s not my standard gin and tonic, but it was something else and I’m glad I gave it a try.
It was really great to meet the people being the faces we see here on Unilocal,and I’m glad I had the opportunity to be a part of this event. This was the perfect way to introduce me to Cure. I will definitely be back to try some of their dinner items, and bring some other friends too!

Super fun mixer at one of my favorite new spots! It was great way to meet up with & compare notes with fellow Unilocalers (though it DID make me feel like an elder statesman). Enjoyed the Banh Mi bites & the chicken sausage… while I didn’t see any fancy dance moves, I did find a fellow Kenyonite… Ms. Mel M! Pictures to come, of course!
Looking forward to another Elite event… and kudos to Breanna for putting this together!
