Harding’s Towing II

I’ve never been to Hardings but they’ve been to me several times. They’re always fast, helpful, and polite. I’ve had a lot of trouble with my car and my insurance but never with Hardings– that’s one thing my ins co did right. Thanks for all the help guys!

They deserve no stars or business. Agero is a contractor with my insurance company USAA and when my wife had a flat after work on the eve before Thanksgiving they sent Hardings out to assist. Their technician proceeded to strip the lug nuts on my wheel and the tire could not be removed at all. While my wife had her back turned talking to another person at the scene the Hardings tech jumped in his van and left without saying a word leaving my wife stranded in a parking lot. We had to get our car towed to my dealer to fix the lug nuts. When it came time to pay for the damage Hardings and Agero were nowhere to be found. I paid for it out of my pocket. When I tried to work it out with them, neither Hardings, Agero, or USAA took responsibility and claimed the lug nuts must have been stripped already on my new car. DON’t make the same mistake we did and if you need to use them please video all that they do and get the names and license tags of anyone who touches your vehicle. These people are criminals if you ask me!

Wow! They were suppose to pick my car up that was in an accident and never did. We were instructed to leave the doors unlocked and keys under floormat. In 90 minutes someone will be there to tow the car. So the NEXT day I get a call at work from a police officer stating that he received a call about a suspicious vehicle with keys in it that was left in the driveway of a company that was registered to me. I was furious! My car never got picked up! The towing manager said a few new dispatchers did not know how to dispatch correctly so there was miscommunication! WHAT? Definitely won’t be using them again.

A great experience with a tow company? WTF? But seriously, this was it.
I called my insurance company to get lockout help. My car is 28 years old (I know, I know, I’m buying a new one soon) and sometimes things go wrong. Well, this week, the linkage on one door broke, and before I could fix it, the linkage on the other door broke, meaning I could not use the outside door handles to open the doors of my car.
Not only did this company get there in less than 10 minutes (!), but the guy who came was a freaking trooper. I mean, this was NOT your typical roadside lockout, and this guy did everything to get into my car without damaging anything. I told him several times that this was a project car, and if he had to break something, I wouldn’t blame him, but he was insistent: He was going to get into my car without damaging it, and after several tries, he did.
You always hope that you never need a tow truck ever again, but I like to share stories of small businesses that do a great job for me, so here we are.

They don’t keep records.
They didn’t pick up my car.
I didn’t find out they didn’t pick up my car because they don’t know how to use voicemail.
I wasted an entire day of repairs waiting to hear back from them until I physically went to find where my car was.
I have yet to find a competent tow truck company in rochester, I would stay away from this one. They don’t have their act together.
