Had a session one week ago today. Still no digital image. Not happy with service received will not be back. We went in for a session that I had booked online a week before. We arrived early and were greated by 2 staff members a male and female. The female was eating take out food at the register and that’s all that you could smell there. They said it would be a few minutes and about 10 minutes later they showed us the background images to choose from. We picked the ones we wanted then waited again while it was set up and they met with someone else who also had an appointment but had arrived late. They proceeded to photograph my family then asked if they could do the other family and then come back to us. It was a lot of flip flopping. The photos were taken in what looked like a closet with peeling wall paper and props all over the place. It was a mess. The female who took the pictures was nice but again It was to much to have us to in then the other family then us back in. She was trying to get my son’s attention but most of her tactics were making him more nervous then helping. For the amount of time in the ‘studio’ itself we had very few images to pick from. It was way to much time for a session from start to finish. Our appointment was for 520 we didn’t leave until it was after 630! When I have a 3year old and a 1.5year old in tow. They are both crying to leave and they would stop showing us the gallery to help another customer or to take a call. So wait some more and some more. The guy was very friendly and I could see he was doing the best he could do. But finish with the customer you are on before going to the next. The employees were both nice but it is not a good system set in place for operations. You could tell they were short handed. They should have had someone doing registers and calls the other taking pictures and a 3rd helping pick backdrops and doing the ordering. Right before a holiday they can spare 1 extra employee. They told me 24−48hrs for me to receive my digital print.(the print I was counting on to be able to give to my family for the Christmas parties I attended sunday) we were in on Wednesday. 12⁄2324−48hrs would have put us at Christmas eve or the day after Christmas. I received nothing at all. No email saying a delay or we are working in it or the picture itself. He assured me they were working Christmas eve. So Monday I waited and no email so I called the store and left a voice mail where it stated my phone call would be returned promptly. Waited and no call back, it said in the message they were closed Tuesday. I called again Tuesday and left another voice mail. Here I sit Wednesday exactly one week after the session and have received no email containing my picture or even a return phone call. This is the absolute worst customer service I have EVER received from a photography business and I will not be returning for any future session. I have already informed people who have asked me about my experience and told them to find another place to go. First and last time I will ever be using jcpebny photography.
