Decades ago, when Jerome started his business, he specialized in fine-​tuning of ignition systems and the repair of electrical systems. However, since 1963, when Jerome’s came under new management, the range of services have diversified to include wheel alignments, shocks, struts, wheel bearings, brakes and steering linkage parts, such as tie-​rod ends and ball-​joints.

Jerome’s Automotive and Ignition Service is a full service repair and maintenance facility. We perform factory scheduled routine service; 4-​wheel alignments, tire replacement and balancing; brakes, New York State Inspections, and lube oil and filter service. Our shop specializes in electronic and drivability issues, diagnoses, and trouble-​shooting.

History

Established in 1926.

Jerome Stolter (1900 –1994), A World War I veteran and U.S. Army Reserve Captain, founded Jerome’s Ignition Service in 1926 on Railroad Street near Rochesters Public Market. Taking Pride in the details, having a penchant for being very particular and standing behind his work started a legacy and tradition of performing the job right the first time.

Today, Jerome’s Ignition Service employs technicians who are certified by the National Association of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), and is proud to offer its customers a complete line of automotive services, from fuel injection service to wheel alignments.
