History
Established in 2014.
Saha Med Grill owner, Sami Mina, was the first in his immediate family to come to the United States from Kafarzabad, Lebanon. He transferred as a student from the University of Toulouse in France right before Lebanon’s 15-year Civil War began in 1976. He then joined relatives who had already started a business in the Rochester area.
He went on to open the original Aladdin’s Natural Eatery in the late 1970s. It was among the first restaurants to introduce Middle Eastern food to Rochester. Sami Mina says that most of the recipes that have built the menu at both Saha Med Grill and Aladdin’s, were inspired by his mother’s traditional Lebanese cooking.
