Specialties

We are the local burger drive thru that has been established since the 1980’s in Rochester. Try our very large burger with a fry and pepsi! Also we have delicious nuggets and wonderful ice cream treats for everyone in the car. Our double drive thru can handle multiple orders at once allowing us to be extremely snappy with every order.

History

Established in 1987.

Started by two local entrepreneurs Snappy was a concept that turned into a reality after a visit to a quick serve restaurant in Texas. The main founder Jim Morgan hashed over the idea with his long time manager Bob Beeman and they agreed that this concept should work in Rochester, Minnesota. Construction started in the beginning of 1987 and everyone wondered what a odd shaped building would become. Shortly after opening the rave of the best burger in town brought people by the car load. Bob Beeman bought Jim Morgans establishment in 2001 and ever since then has stuck to the motto. «Hotter, Fresher, Faster, and Friendlier. To this day people wonder what this building is and once they try a fresh off the grill Snappy burger they never forget the «burger joint in Rochester» as the place that serves up awesome food.

Meet the Business Owner

Bob B.

Business Owner

Bob has ran multiple restaurants from the age of 16 years old when he started at Kentucky fried Chicken in Winona Minnesota. After attending Winona state university for business administration he quickly moved up the ranks as manager for the high producing store. While working at KFC Bob met his wonderful wife Kristi. The owner of the stores Jim Morgan asked him to open a Hardee’s restaurant in Texas and moved him and his young wife Kristi to Texas to start the store. When the Hardee’s project did not go thru Jim was quick to come up with another concept along with Bobs help and opened a Snappy Stop in Rochester, Minnesota. In 1987 Bob was moved to Rochester with his young family and the burger grills were started that year. Bob bought the store from Jim and now runs it with great employees and his daughter Haley and son Bucky. Bob’s wife Kristi is a school teacher in Rochester and they love the business and the customers that help support it!
