I’ve been here 3 times for hair color. The first time, the girl overcharged me. The second time, I liked the stylist but couldn’t tell my hair had been colored. The third the color was decent. The one hair cut I have had here makes me look like I’m a 60s housewife (not in a good way). I am 28 years old and look way older with this style. I wasn’t asked what I wanted, my stylist just started chopping away. I’ve never written a Unilocal review before, but I felt like this needed one. I will be taking the time to schedule my next appointment ahead of time at Hair By Design.

I really loved my brow shape, but there were a couple big negatives that won’t allow me to give 5 stars. The first one is cleanliness… The girl who did my eyebrows smoked before she did them and very obviously didn’t wash her hands. As a non-​smoker the smell is so pungent and revolting that it made a 15 minute brow wax unbearable. The second part of that is that the tweezers were not cleaned and I kept thinking I wasn’t seeing clearly and didn’t want to be rude. I should’ve said something, but honestly they should’ve been cleaned without me having to ask. In addition to that, there are techniques you can use when to minimize pain such as holding the skin taut when plucking and pressing on the skin directly after wax is peeled off. I’ve never had anyone who plucked without holding the skin taught, but it makes it so much more painful. As much as the shape is good, I won’t be going back.

First time going. Great service. Nicole is awesome at sculpting brows (tint and wax) it was definitely worth the cost and I will be going back.
