It’s a little ways out of the way but well worth the trip. The owners are also the caretakers and run the little gift shop. You can tell by talking to her (i forgot her name) that she’s passionate about what she does and a very caring person. We should all strive to be as giving as her. From what I understood there is no state or federal funding keeping this place open. All of these animals are beautiful and well-​maintained despite their previous history. If you do come visit keep in mind that you have the option to buy these animals some treats and it was a real treat or us to watch them eat it. they truly enjoy it. As she was bringing the treats down she was able to physically touch every one of these animals and they’re all very affectionate with her further affirming for me her care to them. She’s truly fighting the good fight here folks you should come down and support her and her family.

If you love animals and big cats especially you must see this place. They have beautiful lovely big cats and cared for with love.
Over all for a inexpensive day trip take the whole family here and see the wonderful cats playing and enjoying their days. I would recommend going on a cooler day as they get lazy in the heat ;)

My husband and I loved it here. Probably could have stayed here half a day just watching the animals. We did a morning feeding tour for $ 25 a piece. You get to walk the perimeter of the cages while they feed each cat and tell you about them. They answer questions and they interact with the cats a little, but it’s not a place where they get in the cages or anything crazy. They take exceptional care of their cats and want them to have the most natural lives possible. We had the opportunity with this tour to see their individual personalities which was really neat. They have signs with descriptions on each cage but you don’t get the full effect without the tour. However, if you don’t have the opportunity for a tour I’d still go check it out. There is an option to buy a small frozen chicken and pick a cat for them to feed it to while you watch. It is so great to see what they are doing here. All the support they get the better because they have big dreams for these big cats and want to help others. If I get to come here again I will do a night tour.

This was an amazing outing. As a family who fosters for national dog rescues, it was wonderful to see a couple who took things so much further and does amazing things for large cats. The cats all were very well cared for and content. The spaces were well tended. We spent $ 12 and bought a chicken for the eldest tiger there — we also saw another tiger get a chicken from another family. It was fun to see the differences in personality as the cats approached and ate their chickens. Neither rushed the chickens, which makes it obvious the cats are well fed. The best part about buying the chicken was getting the opportunity to speak with one of the employees — learn more about the facility and cats and ask questions. Such a wonderful place! We plan to go back in the fall to maybe see the cats more active!
A few random thoughts — even the bathrooms were clean and well tended. Also, we saw an older couple driving their car through the center. I am not sure if this is standard or was a special arrangement, but it was nice to see that options were available for those who could not walk the whole length.

On a whim, decided to stop here on our way home from the Dells. So glad we did. There are at least 20 big cats. The facility is by no means fancy but it is very nice for the animals to have their own space to run, lounge and lounge some more. We had a small admission fee. For a donation, you can buy a «cat nip» box or a frozen chicken. Next time we will reserve a feeding tour or nighttime tour.

The cats were beautiful and appeared content and healthy. We paid extra for one of the lions to get a special treat — a cardboard box sprayed with catnip and other scents. It was delightful to watch him play, and watching him made me feel good about the animals’ quality of life in general. A lot of the cats seemed to have a bond with the woman running the rescue. A few of the cats purred or «talked» and were quite playful.
One of the founders of the rescue was running the ticket booth the day my husband and I visited. She was very friendly and we learned a lot chatting with her about the history of the center. She came out to the cats to give the lion the cardboard box treat, and to give a tiger a chicken carcass paid for by another couple. She definitely bumped my rating from a 4 to a 5 — it might be a good idea to call ahead for a tour to get the most out of the experience.
It was thrilling to be so close to such powerful, majestic animals. I am not a fan of zoos, but this place is not a zoo. The animals have some sad histories, and I truly believe the rescue has the cats’ best interest at heart.

If you love wild animals you are going to love this place! Just remember they stay open on donations so PLEASE donate and amount of money you can it will go a long way!

I loved to hear the stories of how each cat came to live at the rescue. The staff seem well versed and have the best interest of the animals at heart. The enclosures are clean and the park is well maintained. Although young children may not enjoy the calm cats, they seem to have a good time crawling on Mickey Mouse. The other kids loved it!

We went there based on recommendation from a local that his young son was talking about this place for days — not so with my toddler son.
You get to see 20 or so outside cages housing big cats, and you read a bit of description about each. The cages are roomy and clean, the tigers and lions appeared healthy and mostly sleeping.
To make things more exiting, try to join a tour (call ahead to ask when). You can make an extra donation, and you get to see a frozen chicken fed to the animal of your choice.
If I knew in advance, I’d do a night tour, when the animals are extra active (you have to arrange that by phone, just a bit more).
