History

Established in 1896.

Moran Insurance started in 1896 with my great-​grandfather Patrick Moran, and has seen many changes since that time. In the beginning there were policies that provided only for Fire policies, no Automobile insurance or Liability coverages, and policies were hand-​written. There were not a lot of options. E. C. Moran moved into its present location in 1926.

We now offer full Property and Liability coverages both personal and commercial ranging from Home, Auto, Boats both personal and commercial, to Business property and Liability, Contractors, and Umbrellas. We pride ourselves on personalized service and being a partner in providing the coverage protection you wish to purchase.

My name is Patricia Moran Wotton, Owner and Agent for E. C. Moran Insurance on Main Street in Rockland. I am the fourth generation of Moran and the first woman in the agency which was started by my great-​grandfather. I have been licensed since 1978 when I studied Business and insurance in College, and went to an intensive month-​long insurance training class in California.
