History

Established in 1995.

A New Image Salon, Spa and Tan has grown from a small Hair, Nail and Tanning Business to A Full Service Salon & Spa with 4 Tanning Beds and 1 Booth. We moved from Cocoa Village in 1997 to expand the business into The Log Cabin across from Wuesthoff Hospital on US Highway 1 in Rockledge. We expanded slowly to meet the needs of the Community and are proud to be in Rockledge! We now offer a large variety of services including but not limited to; Hair; Nails; Tanning; Massage; Skincare; Pedicures; Permenant Make-Up; Mystic Airbrush Tanning; Keratin Permenant Hair Straightening; Cinderella Hair Extentions; Ear Piercing; Teeth Whitening and more… We will always strive to give the best quality services and products available.

I took my mother to Johnny Walter at A New Image in Rockledge. I had a photo for him to see as he styled her hair. When he was finished she had the worst hairstyle she had ever had. We decided to give him a second try, and he performed equally badly the second time around. He talked a good game, sounded knowledgeable. The results both times were disastrous. No third try for him from us.

Went in to get my hair dyed from light brown to ash blonde and I walked out of the salon with platinum hair. PLATINUM. The colorist assured that it was a multi-step process and offered that I come in again to get a toner treatment (free of charge) to get it closer to the color I wanted. I originally brought in a picture of what I wanted it to look like and it looked nothing like what I had in mind. Even after the second appointment I was very upset and finally found another (much better) colorist to fix it.

I’m new to the area and needed a stylist so I asked my neighbor with great hair where she goes. She told me Amanda at A New Image salon. I wanted to do a drastically new style, cutting off a good 12″ of hair, and brought in some pictures to show Amanda what I had in mind. I asked for her opinion and told her she could have a little artistic license to do what she thought would look best. She absolutely understood what I was going for, and not only did she meet my expectations but she greatly exceeded them! The cut and color are to die for! My husband commented that my hair was «super freakin’ hot»! All my friends are raving about how much they love my new hair. Personally and professionally, Amanda is just the best. I can’t recommend her enough!

I’ve been going here for at least a couple of years — seeing Amanda for a haircut every two weeks. They’re always able to work around my schedule, and have even stayed late a couple of times to accommodate me.
I wish I had more hair for her to cut — but that’s the way it is! :)

The worst waxing experience I have ever had. I hate leaving reviews unless something is absolutely amazing or absolutely terrible. I am new to Melbourne and have had some trouble trying to find a decent waxing place in the area. I drove to Orlando a few times but thought I would try a place around here. This place was located near a dumpy area so I was a little scared while driving to my appointment. When I walked in the place smelled like chemicals. It was atrocious. I honestly should have gotten the heck out of there right then. I was led back for my brazillian into the dumpy wax room. It looked as if the towels were 20 years old as well as everything else in there. What should have been a 10 – 15 minute procedure turned out to be over an hour as the lady sadly tried to wax me, pulling at my skin, getting the wax EVERYWHERE. I never have trouble with the pain of waxing but this was awful. Absolutely awful. I had a rash for days after this pitiful appointment. Because I’m such a nice person I didn’t complain (although I should have) and the lady was really nice as well so I felt bad. I decided to just never go back. Ever. Looks like I will be driving to Orlando or going to my regular place when visiting in my hometown. I can’t say how any of the other services are, but please do yourself a favor and DO NOT go here for any waxing service. Your skin will thank you.

I would not go anywhere else to get my nails done. I am so glad that I discovered this salon. Been going to Kim for approx. 15 years. She is always updating the salon and interiors are gorgeous. Staff is like family.
Always going out of their way to accommodate. Always on top of new trends and new products.
