wouldnt recommend this place at all. if this is your first time financing a car, do yourself a favor and do some research and study how these car dealers work. first off let me start by saying that I’ve never met such cheapskates in my life. before buying a armada from them, the guy said that the missing rim caps and missing seat switches was no problem and that he would order them for me. a week later, i called bill to ask about the items and he said he never said anything about him ordering them and that he told me to order them. i couldnt believe this guy. then after he told me they were already ordered, he was like «oh you know, theyre only about $ 10 and itll cost you more gas then they’re worth» i was like okay. why not just order it under my address and name. He said he would when he got around to it, he sounded upset and hung up. Must of been dut to the fact that he had no way out of it. im telling you, these guys are CHEAP! They’ll try to stir it anyway they can just to save a dime. now to top it off these guys sold me this vehicle $ 1000 more! then what it was previously listed as. they took advantage cuz they had it mark as 10 995 on the window, they dropped the price online that same day, but since i wasnt aware, he literally must of raised the damn price when i was testing out the vehicle. Theyll tell you that the market goes up and down. Dont believe that bs. If you give these people a chance to strike, they are and they will. thumbs down to this place. i dont want nothing to down to these guys. i dont even want to hear the guys voice. btw i ended up fixing a back latch problem myself that they were too cheap to do. i just want pay this truck off and just except that you live and you learn.

Just purchased my second vehicle and traded in my first one. Had the same great experience as before. The financing was a very quick process. My trade in was paid off and now I am loving my Mercedes ML350. It’s white and looks like new. I’ve always wanted one and Bobby found one for me. My dream car!!!

it has been a year since a bought a lemon at this place never buy here again

Well I am shocked by some of the reviews on this page, but I guess you can’t please everyone? Buying a used car is always a risk, that is why I always have «my» mechanic look at it first. Personally I have purchased three actually 4 one for my daughter. They have very quality cars at Cost Less Auto. Bill, in finance (I’m just going to call it like it is) the man is a finance God!!! I had a very recent bankruptcy, had been recently widowed and had no idea how I was going to get a car as I hadn’t worked in years. Bill trusted me and my word and with a co-​signer got me my first loan. I paid on that loan and within a year or so I was able to trade in (and I got a great price for my trade in from COST LESS AUTO on that car too BTW!!!) of course I traded up and continued to build my credit. I now have purchased 4 cars from them, they were and are completely honest and up front people. My daughters car had over 150k (it’s what we could afford) Bill sold us a warranty he expressed the importance because ITS A USED CAR!!! My daughter being a new driver did end up needed a new transmission (do I blame cost less auto???) NO I BOUGHT A USED CAR!!! But I was also smart enough to have it checked and to purchase a warranty. They fixed it with no problem and for the past three years she’s been on the road with only new driver issues. They also have helped us a few times with minor body work (she s a teenage driver after all these are the before mentioned «new driver issues» LOL) overall I always refer my friends and family to COST LESS AUTO, besides they are dog people… you know you can trust dog people. If you go in you will be greated by the most beautiful pups and you will be treated with respect. They are a one proce dealer and their prices are beyond competitive as a woman buying a car alone it was nice to be dealt with like I wasn’t an idiot, the respected my questions and were not offended when I had to have my guy look at it. I feel bad for the people that had a different experience but I’ll say it again… YOU ARE BUYING A USED CAR! Have some accountability people LOL say hi to the pups from our family!

A few years back I brought in my BMW Z to sell to Cost Less. I dealt with Bobby the owner. The process was very easy and they gave me good value on my car. They did an inspection, gave me a market report of my vehicle, and cut me a check on the spot.
And recently my parents were looking to sell their Mercedes SL so I brought the vehicle to Bobby again to see what they would buy it for. This time instead of buying it, he had a buyer who was looking for one so he did a consignment deal. Cost Less facilitated the sale and had me paid within a few days. Bobby was able to pay me more for the Benz because it was a consignment and not an outright purchase. I appreciate his honesty and twice now he has been great to work with. I recently leased a new vehicle but if I am looking for a used vehicle in the future I will make the trip to Rocklin to see what they have. And the next time I’m selling a vehicle they will still be my go to spot.

Sold me a beautiful, dependable truck at a reasonable price. I’m so glad I finally found an honest car dealer that is familiar with the mechanics of the vehicles he sells. I didn’t have to spend hours in the office making a deal because all the prices are already set within Kelly Blue book value. Bill was very helpful with our concerns before and after the deal. They had the best financing deal I could find. I will definitely come here for my next vehicle.

I wouldn’t purchase a car from these guys again! Bill is the only semi decent person there and really do not understand why he is working for that CUT rate car lot to say the least. I purchased a Escalade there that had low miles and seemed to be a good SUV which it is now. but many dollar$$ latter a few weeks after the purchase from cost less. I mean COST MORE sighhh.
They gave me a okay value on my trade in 2000 Escalade 150k which is still on there lot for sale. I highly doubt they put more than $ 300 bucks into that money pit considering it needed over 3k worth of parts and labor stemming from a blown transfer case too faulty fuel injection/​spider injectors, ignition problems and a whole lot more.
After traveling back in forth from Rockin to the Tahoe area only because the day I went home with the car, I woke up the next morning to an oil puddle in my garage. I contacted CoSt MoRe and they said we will take care of it bring it back in. I spent the day and evening in Rockin at a mechanic shop that there partners with and that they referred me too. The shop found more problems with the car and suggested I fix it so I did assuming cost less would cover. COST MORE. after arguing with them for more than an hour agreed to pay for half of the shop bill, which ended up being a couple hundred bucks for valve gaskets and coolant lines etc.
Few days latter while driving I noticed a grinding sound in my front driver side wheel. After taking to a few shops they finally discovered the problem, which happened to be bad carrier bearings in the front differential. Gee that ended up being a $ 1000k rebuild just made my month with that one guys :)
My advice based upon from what I experienced purchasing from this junk yard of washed detailed cars is. if you EVEN consider a car from here take it to a shop out of the Rocklin area and have it inspected by a real deal mechanic for a few bucks and go from there.

I went in on memorial day to look at a low mile Toyota. It was a deal. I was very impressed with the casual no pressure service. I was given a nice trade in value and was done in under an hour. This was a great experience in buying a car, better than almost any new car dealer. I can say that I would give these guys my highest recommendation and gladly send them customers.

We got a great car at a great price.
After dealing with the BMW dealership in rocklin our standards had plunged in terms of the car buying experience. I didn’t have much better hopes when I pulled into this place.
But I was wrong. I busted in and said give me the key to the car I wanted. There was a real friendly black lab «guarding» nothing. The sales guy was on the phone and handed me the key. I went out and checked out the interior and the options. It had what we wanted and was priced well.
I tried to negotiate the price down further but was unable to do so. Bill said that it was the cheapest priced car for that make and model for over 100 miles. After spending most of the day at the dealership the day before and doing extensive research I knew he was right. I hate that by the way when the salesperson is right. Kind of takes away a little negotiating on my end.
Anyways we were in and out in less than 45 minutes. He even let us take the car to drop off the rental that we had. Because the rental place closed in less than 15 minutes.
Overall it was a good experience. He said that he got a good vibe from us and on our way home back to SF the wife and I agreed that we had a real good vibe from him as well. It was just a real deal good experience. I didn’t catch the dogs name though.
The most ironic part about our car buying experience is that we were willing to pay the same price for a car that was a year older at the dealership with about 10k more miles and they told us to basically pound dirt. So we walked out. Best decision we made.
Anyway bottom line. These guys are FAIR. I felt like I was talking to a FRIEND, or like maybe just someone who was HONEST. I’ve never bought a car in rocklin before and might not again but I will tell you if I need to I might even make the trip up there if they had the car I wanted.
That says ALOT about my experience there. It’s over 100 miles or so, give or take, from where I live.

Finally! One of the (VERY) few used car dealers that are honest and sell a good car at a good price.
I am so sick of these turn and burn dealers who buy garbage, they know is garbage, and pawn it off on any sucker with the cash!

I had been searching the internet for a used Honda Ridgeline. The one that best fit my bill was located here, at Cost Less Auto. We made that our first stop on our car shopping day. Bill greeted us, gave us the key, told us if we needed anything he would be there, than left us alone to go over the car and test drive it as we needed, no pressure, no sales pitch! It was awesome. We loved the car, but it was our first stop so we felt it would be prudent to at least go and look at other cars. We told this to Bill and he understood, he gave us his number and said if we were coming back to let him know, and he wished us good luck on our shopping, once again no sales pressure! We went and looked at other makes and models but the Ridgeline kept calling us back, so back to Cost Less Auto we went. Everything went so smoothly, no hassle, no pressure, just friendly service.
I will recommend this dealership to everyone I know, great, friendly, honest people, no hard sales pitches or any other sales tactics!

My experience with the sales person wasn’t the most positive, but she is apparently no longer there. I felt she failed to listen to me and that resulted in her taking liberties and making assumptions about my desire for the vehicle that were unfounded. That said, I have had positive experience with a credit manager named Phil, (I think it was his name) and an owner who seems to have a sincere interest in being fair to people and having a good reputation.
