The absolute worst service I have ever experienced. Started the process 3 years ago and still incomplete. If I hadn’t already paid for his services I would have gone somewhere else a long time ago. It requires leaving at least 15 messages with his receptionist before he will return a phone call.

If I could give this place a 0 star review, I would. Talk about incompetence all the way around. It took me TWO YEARS to get any action on my case, and every time I called or emailed to inquire what’s taking so long, I got billed for the contact, but still no action. The turnover there is incredible. It took this office THREE years to process my QDRO because they forgot to turn in some of the paperwork, and due to high staff turnover my case was forgotten entirely (even though I was continually billed). Don’t waste your time or money.

Not a surprise this firm only has a 2 star rating. Mr. Keegan doesn’t return phone calls, won’t return e-​mails and doesn’t do what you ask of him. It was a simple job but it was obvious he just cut and pasted information from another individuals paperwork, added the wrong information and created more of a problem than existed in the first place. When he was fired, he charged $ 120 on top of what he already charged for the work that was never done. Over $ 1500 spent plus $ 120 to terminate him. This Law firm will hopefully get reported to the BAR and proper action will be taken. DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANY LEGAL MATTERS!

I have been a client of Keegan & Myers for about 8 years now. My situation has been extremely high conflict from the beginning, but with Sandra’s Myers knowledge and expertise, I feel like our hearings always have the best possible outcome!
We have always been very well taken care of here and I truly feel that Sandra is looking out for my daughter’s best interest! She gives honest advice and feedback and is great at getting her points across during court hearings and in her communication to judges, attorneys and other professionals.
The staff at Keegan & Myers is always friendly, helpful & professional as well, I would definitely recommend this law office if you need an amazing family law attorney!

Pat showed up at our first hearing without having filed the appropriate documents. Later, he said he would draft a settlement agreement for me. Three months later, I was still waiting for it. Then my ex-wife’s attorney sent a counter offer (a reasonable one) and keegan did not respond at all! I found out when keegan’s paralegal sent me the letter from opposing counsel questioning why. Keegan’s only response to me was «oops, I’m sorry.» Then, instead of settling, he wanted to draft discovery, motions and keep churning the file which of course would get him more money. So, I fired him. Overpriced and underperforming. Avoid this guy.

My experience with Keegan & Myers has been nothing less than AMAZING! In addition to Keegan & Myers unparalleled customer service, the attorneys and support staff were very understanding to my particular needs.
Attorney Hass Khatami was the attorney assigned to my case. He was very knowledgeable and zealously advocated for me every step of the way. Mr. Khatami exceeded my expectations not only getting me primary custody of my son at trial, but also prevailed in a subsequent trial for attorneys fees and sanctions!

I contacted Mr. Keegan’s office for legal direction and advice about two weeks ago. I was interested in setting up a consultation with Mr. Keegan because of his expertise in Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDRO). The office receptionist, Nona was very kind and thoughtful and extremely understanding and assured me that someone from the office would call me back.
I received a call back about four or five days later from Mr. Keegan’s office. I told her that I had explained everything to Nona when I called previously and she replied, «She’s just a receptionist.» Wow! First indication this caller was high on her horse and failed to see the true value of Nona’s service to the firm. (She’s the first point of contact for clients and represents the law office for Mr. Keegan. Shame on this legal assistant!)
I asked her if she was Mr. Keegan’s paralegal. There was a long pregnant pause and an uncomfortable silence before she said with a tone in her voice, «I’m the legal assistant.» OK, second indication this so-​called legal assistant had a chip on her shoulder.
I began to explain my situation. Suffice it to say, I was very shocked and dismayed to find that she was rude, condescending and in fact, not very intelligent. My issue was very sensitive because of my health disabilities and she didn’t seem to care at all. Absolutely zero compassion and literally clueless. When I asked her if she understood my concerns and need for direction, she had no idea at all because she was not able to reiterate my concerns to me. She was completely mixed up and had the facts wrong. I wondered to myself whether she was even writing any of this down.
In fact, I had to keep repeating myself and explaining the situation because she was just not getting it, no matter how many ways and times I tried to explain the matter. She seemed quite confused by the whole thing. Bear in mind, my question was straight forward. It finallly dawned on me, she was dumb and had extremely poor people skills, not wise for a law office who’s job is to deal with highly sensitive family matters.
After going in circles for some time on the phone with her, I still felt that she wasn’t grasping the matter so I asked her if she could please speak with Mr. Keegan to see if I could come in for a consultation (which she advised me was not free and I respond to her that that would not be problem for me). I asked her to please present my question to him (hoping she could at the very least do that) and then let me know whether or not he would be willing to meet with me. She repeatedly told me that Mr. Keegan was in conference all day but that she would talk to him later that day and get right back to me.
Well Unilocalers, that conversation took place more than two weeks ago and she has yet to call me back. Not only is she stupid, she’s a liar. She never bothered to call me back with an answer either way. Bottom line, was he willing to meet with me or not. Simple right?
I would venture to guess at this point that she did not understand my question at all and therefore, could not intelligently present the question to Mr. Keegan so the easiest way to deal with this is to pretend our conversation never happened and never bother to call me back. Shameful.
Makes me wonder if Mr. Keegan knows he employs an incompetent legal assistant. I would love to know if others have ever dealt with this law office before.
An added note: I contacted another law office in Sac and the receptionist assured me that I would receive a call back regarding my question. Not only did the receptionist understand my question… that very same day, I received a call back from attorney Mary Quintero. She was delightful, witty and smart. She asked me a few follow-​up questions then lo and behold, she answered my question immediately. It wasn’t the answer I had hoped to hear but it was a legal answer and put my mind to rest. That my friends was the way a family law office ought to be run.
Two big thumbs way down for Mr. Keegan’s law office and his inept legal assistant.
Latest update: Never did receive a call back from Mr. Keegan’s office or legal assistant and it’s literally been months. I’m sure my inquiry was tossed in the «rounder file.» (the waste basket). Shame on her.

My experience was even worse than Deborah F. mentioned with ¹⁄₅. If possible, I would rate negative ¹⁄₅. Had a demand in the contract that the CA state bar stated was illegal. When I called ‘em on it, I was told that I had to take my files directly out to my vehicle without an chance to go through the documents. As a result, no accountability. Part of the good ol’ boy machine in PC. JUST MY OPINION THOUGH.

The absolute WORSE form of representation you could possibly get!!!
They bleed you from day one.
Double charge you for follow up questions, don’t return your phone calls
and can barely remember your name!

Pat saved me and my boys from one of the most stressful situations you could possibly imagine. His entire Team was so helpful it is hard to put in a review, the only word I can use is «phenomenal». Pats knowledge of the Law and more importantly his navigation of our Court System which I have come to disdain, was invaluable. when you find that the judges you are dealing with respect your council it is with out a doubt worth its wait in gold.
I could not have asked for a better attorney.
